Bro I just realized that like a bunch of evolved Villain skins aren't on the Wii version, like evolved bone chompy on the Wii is just a slightly darker shade, and it's like that with a lot of these
@Slimyoweo I mean, her name is GOLDEN Queen, so wtf possessed Activision to make her evolved skin an odd silver colour, is beyond me, they couldve made her Rose Gold or like a Diamond colour and named it Diamond Queen or something.
That’s what I’m saying, like at least they gave her a color scheme for the evolved skin so I can’t call it lazy but I see little to no creativity put into it
@Slimyoweo people definitely underestimate the impact that Skylanders had on gaming as a whole I got back to collecting Skylanders in 2021 I completed my ssa and giants collection got blackout and ro bow and now I have 75 Skylanders with 92 more to go

I don't like the look of many of the evolved villains but I love the look of the completed wanted posters. I wish there was a way for you to choose to have them evolved or not
To be Fair I could say the same for Evolved Godzilla in GxK bro got the Trap Team Treatment but it does still look Really cool with any color not Just blue
Massive respect to you for making this video, I'm more or less one of the few people who got into Skylanders at a very late year, but still love it to no end to this very day. I've always liked some of the evolved skins, but had a huge bone to pick with at least 80%. Very thankful to see that I'm not the only one who's had an issue with the severe lack of color choices for most of these characters (that's my opinion though, since I don't care for the colors green and blue). Still u missed the part where the evolutions change depending on the version of the game/console, for example, in wii version, Rage mage doesn't turn his armor into gold, instead the only thing that changes is his clothes turning from black to blue (i prefer that evolved rage mage), and the evo for bobm shell changes as well, i'm not sure abt the otrher villains tho Ah, the evilikins doesn't turn blue in the wii version

Yeah unfortunately you need them to be evolved for 100%, idk if the Wii giants toy reset exploit is the only way to reset them or if you can just use a fresh save file to get the original skins but still it sucks
The only villains I never evolved were the Doom Raiders because unlike every other villain in the game there are non trappable versions of those characters so we can just assume that the trappable version is like a distant member of the family or something while the Doom Raiders are individuals where there’s no other than them and they were only shown in their devolved appearance in cutscenes and such
I think Golden Queen’s evolved form looks pretty cool. Also, I think all the evolved forms that give additional functions should just be deemed better anyway. (Like Shrednaught, Krankcase, and Golden Queen.)
I like this video but it’s annoying me how you keep saying activision when referring to decisions about the evolved skins, those were made by toys for bob, not activision Toys for bob developed ssa/sg/stt/si Vicarious Visions developed ssf/ssc Activision published the games, and while they had influence over creative decisions, they did not actively develop the game, merely provide funding during development as well as market the game and get it on store shelves

My issue is that they decided to just make so many of the villains green instead of coming up with an original evolved skin for them, also they just don’t look good on the villains I’m my opinion
You can, you will need Skylanders Giants in order to reset them. In order for this to work however, you will need the Wii version of Skylanders Giants since they've patched resetting them trhoguh the XBOX 360
Oh yes, an entirely mustard yellow character who looks like you unlocked the gold skin for them is much more better than the version with an actually cohesive color scheme.
Chef Pepper Jacks evolved skin is actually also accurate because the headchef at a restaurant usually wears black

You could reset the traps (Through Giants I think) so that the poster stays but the evolved form reverts to the original.

As far as I know it’s just a color swap but I’ve heard it can give a slight stat boost, I have no idea if that’s true or not
