Hi. Thank you guys very much for the video. Really interesting discussions!
The only big question at the end is (atleast for me), if you can live with the cancellation of a flown LR system or not, right? I‘d love to fly subs if circumstances allow for it. For myself, I wasnt ever in a situation where Flown center would have been possible but flown LR just isnt really an option for me because of the cancellations. I alway wonder when I see pictures of big shows with lots of flown subs - are they doing something different than me or just dont care too much about sub valleys…

Hi Scott. If the KS28 is that much louder than the SB218, there is a bug in soundvision because it doesn't display such a great difference.

IMO, it all has to do with baffle gain (including the one of the virtual subwoofer), to how large of a degree you have constructive interference, and physical distance to the subwoofers. I think the whole webinar would have been easier to fully understand if you would have explained those three things in detail at first, and then have shown the effect that they have in all of the observations that you presented.

Although, it sure was a great webinnar, and I do appreciate you sharing it!

if I may add.. keep them compact stack or flown for max. efficiency.

I always thought that flown subs couldn't be angled but recently saw flown angled subs at raiders allegiant stadium in Las Vegas. is this a standard that I am missing? what are the challenges of angling flown subs? when I say angle I mean flown in an array curve.

      Hey there Phil!
Thank you for watching, and your question. We hope this helps, putting angle on an array of sub woofer doesn't pose any acoustic challenge, depending on the size of the array it can affect its total output and directivity, some models of subwoffers are designed to be flown with angle, the K1-SB for example.

Myth BUSTERS :) Realy ? You guys are focusing on sound propagation only in one direction only towards the audience as if we where in some sort of vacum and there is no cieling back walls and other.. i think you got just wrong way.. the flown C configuration causes terrible reflecions from back stage wall and then returning back to venune mixes back with main PA sound causing very uneven coverage in venue. Just leave that subject the subs are not your strong side
