They are so talented, deep, and smart that you can see it reflected in their music. They can also have fun with songs but this entanglement with different concepts is another level of genius! We stand the right artists 💜
Persona is actually the introduction to MOTS. I don't know if Celeste has an explanation video, but DKDKTV has an excellent explanation of Carl Jung's theory. You will begin to notice a lot of MOTS in visuals that are black and white, shadows (Black Swan), etc. By the way, Have you watched the DKDKTV explanation for Daechwita? Suga's writing of that song was brilliant and historically so impressive...there is SO much more to know. ty!
I highly recommend Bookish Theories' explanations as well. She has a more psychological approach to the songs and videos and is very in tune with what the members themselves say about their MVs, including Daechwita. Her explanations for Lights and Singularity, just to name two, will absolutely blow your mind. 💜
I wrote the below comment before listening to this. thanks for sharing that comment about RM’s “Persona” asking the questions and “Shadow” answering them. That is so interesting. You are right, ARMY is so smart. I agree about how BTS makes deep music. I love it, BUT I also love surface level music. I think there is a place for both. Sometimes you want to just get a feeling from the music or it may fit a mood, lift you up out of a mood. 😊
tbh I really do enjoy mostly the explanations videos that DKDKTV produced because that is SO MUCH lost in translations when it comes to lyricism and corean cultural references, I always look for corean speakers youtubers to try to have a better comprehensive enlightenment. ua-cam.com/video/LD0J4gr9Wno/v-deo.htmlsi=BetS2WA5a16y93vy
Gurl I promise you, the mainstream western music we grew up on was NOT this deep. I remember having this realisation in my Baby Army days too. BTS really blew me away. I kinda find it hard to listen to mainstream US stuff now. Literally they are all just love songs from the singers, and swagger songs from the rappers. It becomes so stale after listening to BTS.
Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. So glad u saw an explanation video. I thought i had seen this one but maybe not. Loved the reference to art. It totally looks like they got their idea from that artist. I recall on 1st listen this song was so hard. Took me a while to like it. He is so passionate. Geez. This one stunned us. Many cried. It was really hard to hear him say what he said. But I am glad in the end there is hope. Hope u watch all 3 songs back to back Persona, Shadow and Ego. They are meant to be heard together. =0) This is Suga as Agust D. to me, did u notice? Ppl in black are the shadows makes sense. The switch up is his shadow talking that i figured out. Fake love and ugh and daeng and spine breaker explanation videos are a must watch too
Yes! Please.
nods
Peachy, Ugh + Ddaeng + Spine Breaker need to be from the DKDKTV channel on youtube. I'm not sure about Fake Love.
You need to see her explanation to the BU und watch the drama Begins Youth which is based on it but in general a good drama🔥
