I was thinking, when you consider how many videos Dave has made now, and almost every one has original music by him at the start and often at the end... his body of work is already more prolific than many of my other favorite artists. This man is a creative powerhouse. Some day there's going to be a Dave Simpson anthology with all of his youtube work compiled and people will argue over which era of his was the best ;)

That's a nice looking guitar, Dave. I like the fact that you enjoy your budget- friendly guitars and you are proof, if any were needed, that you don't need a big brand name to have fun and make a lovely noise. I have the Harley Benton 35+, which is an awesome guitar, too. Also, one more thing, I bought and assembled the HB ST kit after watching your videos and I'm so glad I did. It looks/sounds/plays stunning and I like it more than my MIM Strat. Stay safe/sane.

Semi hollow are awesome guitars.. Treated myself to an Epi 335 dot couple months ago.. Superb... Also makes playing the les Paul easier as they're quite a big beast.. Anyhoo great playing as usual 🤘☯️✌️

Just flogged my old Kay EP-8T as I wanted a hollow body that was up to modern standards with a more consistent, 335esque- tone. I researched high and low for what to get with a very limited budget and this video convinced me. I found one 'as new' for £165, from a reputable shop (refurbed display model or customer return probably). It arrives on Monday. Can't wait. Great playing, great attitude. Keep at it dude. I'm off over to your bandcamp now...

But your incredible playing also adds to it, I can 100% say today that you are my favorite guitarist and my main influence on guitar playing, so thank you for that Dave :) I'm currently trying to save some money to get myself one of these in black, as it is doesn't have a bigsby, on 335 style guitars, i'd rather just have a stopbar in there. In my old country there's a saying "It's not the instrument - it's the man who plays" ("Mitte pill ei mängi - mees mängib"). Hence, it really doesn't matter what brand axe you play - a budget guitar or a top-end masterpiece. I'm glad it grew on you, and you've done a marvellous job presenting it. Thank you for the video. My "like" is well deserved.

I recently bought one. It is better than my other (two) guitars. It stays in tune. Like you it is taking me in another direction (but much of this is through watching UA-cam blues lessons). But even at my very great age, it is a learning curve. I saw Angus Young play in Bristol in 1979 and I’ve been searching for good guitar ever since x

Hi Dave, just got my H.W Revival last week, great guitar for the dosh, and I`ve already started my mods on it, replaced the the stop tail bar, for a Trapeze tail piece, vast improvement, also waiting for a new 335 style pickguard to turn up, didn`t fancy reshaping mine, as I don`t like messing around with hacksaws etc, I`m also replacing the V&T pots, for chrome Witches Hat types, to keep the whole chrome vibe running throughout it. Got to agree with ya, excellent guitar for the money.
And I gained a level of respect for you that I don't just hand out when I saw the video that you revealed that your soulmate is a Mexican strat...the best thing that ever happened to me was a classic vibe tele...

I'm considering sacking off the build and just buying one of these 😂 first thing I would do is change out those knobs too...

Problem now with You Tube and others, there is no music industry looking for talent. A lot of good musicians are getting by on you tube, its a shame.
