Looks interesting enjoying your vlogs abroad really good watch every one Nashville looks great quite different over there in America to here in uk and like how all the restraunts are selling merch too looks popular that one too looks fun your holidays enjoy 😊
Meat looked good but chips looked a bit rough as though they had been knocking around a while. I would have thought another plate and fork for a sharing platter, what happened if you had one for 6 people? Did you get back to the UK ok with the train strikes?
Trying to figure out where you are...Demonbreun Street? Cummins Station? Cannery Row? Nashville has changed so much and never stays the same Hope you can at least go to Loveless Cafe in Bellevue, THAT has the best biscuits in Tennessee! xx
I find it extremely annoying when they come up & ask 'is everything ok with your meal?' Firstly if it isn't ok most folk say 'yeah it's fine thanks' out of politeness Secondly if things weren't ok and you were brave enough you would've already told them so. Thirdly I want to be left alone to get on with me food.
that was some delicious pork you had there mate, my fav dish would be mac and cheese topped with pulled pork+pulled brisket, smothered in HOT habanero bbq sauce and topped with jalapenos, crushed fuego taquis, and a very generous sprinkle of chili flakes (i like my pork smoky and spicy!). Enjoy the rest of your trip in Nashville!
Hi Lee! Mmmm the food I couldn't say it looked appetising to me. And I like my food well done. Bless Damien he's coming out of his shell more each time on the camera. Must be getting used to you filming everywhere. It's a good job you both don't have a problem with sharing platters what with no plates and one fork between you. Tight g**s. Could have supplied you with both. I wouldn't give a tip either. Take care Lee 😘👍
I think you've been to the "little chef" of Nashville by the looks of things ? Compared to man vs food BBQ I've seen yours don't cut it .... but the atmosphere of Nashville looks amazing and probably anything tastes ok after 4 beers... Am I right ??
Yes. I'm not in Nashville, TN, I'm in a different state, but we have it here too, as I'm assuming most states do. You'll usually only see it for events or places with large gatherings. I'd be curious to know if they always have a clear bag policy or if it was only implemented because of the Country Music Awards. It's so you can't conceal weapons, and if the event has security checks it makes it go quicker.
I think it because there has been a lots of threads of theorists attacks in the usa that why they say no backpack and carry bag in the bar and restaurants it is a very cruel world out there unfortunately.
Brisket is always the best .. Maybe the only thing worth ordering at a BBQ joint 🤪 Sometimes BBQ looks dry, but is actually tender and tasty and maybe only needs a little BBQ sauce. Given that, I'd say 7.5/10
I think if your friend Martin was there from NYC you would of been in so much trouble and probably in the first hour lol - food no more than a 5, bus tours a 10 :)
That food looked very good. Just breaking off in your fingers. Chips seemed dry. Would have wanted another plate. Price not bad. 7/10. 👍 Like Damien s shirt.😄
I knew it would be a lower score because of how the fries looked. I, personally, liked the look of the steak, though. But, yeh, I think a 6.5 is in order.
After watching all four Nashville vlogs (tick vg btw Lee) I've decided the only thing that would encourage me to go would be a free invite to one of those converted school buses
His ribs have a DRY RUB which creates a crust that enhances the flavor of the meat without adding moisture. If you like your ribs saucy, you need to brush them with the barbeque sauce not dip pieces of the ribs and brisket in the sauce as the McMaster was doing. He should have poured the sauce on the meat.
Personally....hyped dog poo. Fries "skin on".....too lazy to peel. Ribs were to be honest burnt. Lots of "wet" sauces & slaw to help with the dryness. My score 4.
***DISCLAIMER*** OK, I judge Competition BBQ to The Kansas City Barbeque Society criteria…and that would get a very low score from me. It looked absolutely terrible!!!
When u guy get back to ny go to the village east 7 Street mc sorleys lrish pub one off the oldest in manhattan u wouldn't have to order a drink two beer will appear one light one dark u choose they make there one beer strong as well pot belly stove lighting in the winter precvation order on building from the city
Looked pretty average to me, on looks would have been a 6 maybe (written before I heard the scores). I do get the lack of plates and cutlery though - it’s BBQ and so just get stuck in with the hands! As for the tipping culture in the US, yeah that does my head in. When I’ve been over there staying with my mate, I just tell him to do whatever, pay the bill and let me know what I owe him 😂
There is only one place to eat bbq in tennesse the rendveou in memphis they will have to drag u out because will never want to leave very famous restaurant
The service is supposed to be great in America seems to have gone downhill since lockdown.Your friend looks like the guy who used to present the crystal maze.🙂
Looked very dry that brisket. The ribs looked over done and skin on fries looked dry and cold. Supposed to be a sharing platter but to me it looked anything but. The coleslaw looked ok and the bbq sauce. Judging by your reaction to the brisket it must have tasted good.
Obviously been mentioned before but the meat looked like charcoal. Disappointed as America supposed to be the home of bbq. I did a better bbq'd beef last weekend (you are of course welcome to come up and try my bbq and vlog it 😁)
the classic macmaster phrase... 'i'm gonna reserve judgement'... you just know it isn't gonna score well when he says that 🤣
Lol. 😂
Prices have gone up but standards have gone down. Sadly it seems to be the case all over the world.
The only thing not overcooked was the slaw.
0:03 Casual as f*ck, what a dude.
Surely the video title was 'we've gone the whole' hog 🤣
Jeez one fork, one plate etc for two!! What are they thinking! It was funny you feeding him lol! 🥰🌞🥰 Xxx
Ohhh I would most definitely take the bus ;)
That brisket being American looked like a meal for one to me and i bet you and Damian headed off to the nearest bar
Looks interesting enjoying your vlogs abroad really good watch every one Nashville looks great quite different over there in America to here in uk and like how all the restraunts are selling merch too looks popular that one too looks fun your holidays enjoy 😊

Train Strikes!!!!! Vlog coming soon about journey home. Planes Trains, Automobiles, Air trains and Ubers!!! Nightmare
I live in Nashville, born and raised. Chips are much better in the UK as a rule. American fries tend to be greasy and limp.
Trying to figure out where you are...Demonbreun Street? Cummins Station? Cannery Row?

They thought we were married…. Moving swiftly on 😅😂🤣 6/10 for that grub
Wait for tenerife uncovered to see that!
Most bbq joints put your meal on a tray! Even in the Carolinas!

I would love that. The “bark” looked perfect on the ribs and brisket. Right up my street. 8/9
Excellent
Hi Lee I Think most people realise that Nashville is a crazy, wacky, mad place to be by now 😁😁
That’s a great video.
I think some of the girls on the bus have been to the US version of Greggs a bit too often
Yum yum looked delicious going to give it a 9/10. 👍
Watch it maccy... The Mrs will be watching... U nearly copped for a right munster in that bar the other night... Hahaha... You need Martin there...
Nashville looks fun... what times the next bus?
Loving this USA trip Nashville is epic...Giving the food 8.5 😍👌😋
I would risk it for a brisket

It looked good to me. Are you sharing a bed lol ? I didn't think you were but maybe i am confused. Great review Lee. Thank you.
LOL!!! NOOOOOOOO!
@@TheMacMaster OK my bad ! If you ever need anyone to help you with your suitcase let me know !
@@faydove will do. Gets heavy sometimes. 😉
I've got a Martin's BBQ near me and I do enjoy it, it's definitely a less busy location that Nashville my favorite is the Mac and cheese x
Near enough every American meal I've seen tried on this channel seems dry and overcooked.
Looks good enough to eat for me 8 😃👍
It might’ve been tender, but it looked so dry. You could get better in the UK.
Edinburgh festival visit for you Lee?
Maybe, not sure as yet as trying to be with family for a bit. :0)
Hi Lee, notsure about that food, 7 max , enjoy the rest of your day my friend.
Your friend mark
Thanks Mark. Have a good one. 👍🏼
Got to say over cooked a bit for me coleslaw looks good but I say 7/10 for this , great vlog guys 😊❤🇺🇲👍😘xx
Aah 1 fork! I was gonna say get a room! 🤣👍 Yeh 6. I ate in a similar style place in Liverpool and the theme seems to be dry, but tasty!
Got to a solid 9 based on visuals - did not seem to be too dry. Weakest looking items were the fries.
Definitely the fries were not the greatest. 👍🏼
I think you've been to the "little chef" of Nashville by the looks of things ? Compared to man vs food BBQ I've seen yours don't cut it .... but the atmosphere of Nashville looks amazing and probably anything tastes ok after 4 beers... Am I right ??
Lovely nice review and food
Wouldn’t feed 1 let alone 2!, haha🤪
Looked old and grizzled like you Lee. 6/10 from me
Can't argue at the price - hard to tell but it looked very dry with very little sauce especially for 2 growing chaps like yourself.
7.5/10... onion rings would have been a good compliment to the excellent brisket plus some hot mustard
Why do they only let you in if you have a clear handbag? Is it a security thing? Food 6.
Yes. I'm not in Nashville, TN, I'm in a different state, but we have it here too, as I'm assuming most states do. You'll usually only see it for events or places with large gatherings. @@lynny6910 yeah I can see why they they have that policy now, makes sense 👍
you're right the service didn't deserve a tip!
NOOOOOOO! the sharing platter you had in the UK with your chef bubby was head n shoulders above that, on looks anyway.
Brisket is always the best .. Maybe the only thing worth ordering at a BBQ joint 🤪 Sometimes BBQ looks dry, but is actually tender and tasty and maybe only needs a little BBQ sauce. Given that, I'd say 7.5/10

Made my hungry
That food looked very good. Just breaking off in your fingers. Chips seemed dry. Would have wanted another plate. Price not bad. 7/10. 👍 Like Damien s shirt.😄
That looked like a plate of burned food and a meal for one after giving you one plate/tray. 7/10
Just back from georgia and the yanks love these DRY ribs there ok......
I hope it tastes better than it looks.
I knew it would be a lower score because of how the fries looked. I, personally, liked the look of the steak, though. But, yeh, I think a 6.5 is in order.
I always start at 10 then deduct points accordingly. It's a 4 from moi.
After watching all four Nashville vlogs (tick vg btw Lee) I've decided the only thing that would encourage me to go would be a free invite to one of those converted school buses
If you get one and you can take a guest. I'm available. 😉😂
@@TheMacMaster heard about an manoeuvre you can do in those Nashville buses, reverse cowgirl I think it was
None of that looked good. Well done for not tipping.
Your first bites, boy you enjoyed it, after fries, ribs, not good really. 7.10 from me, stay safe Lee please. 😊🐟🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷

Looked too charcoaled and dry a 6. Is generous!
The fries looked very unappealing but the meat looked yummy 😋 8

It does look very dry to be fair lee but as the video goes on looks very tender looks tasty 8/10 for me
Looks a bit well fired that beef. Hopefully it's cooked in the middle.
Not sure i would have left a tip based on one plate and one fork. 7 out of 10

Go to memphis on the next train
Second!👍
The meat was overcooked. Did they ask you how you wanted the meat cooked ?
Hi Clifford. They didn't ask.
BBQ is cooked for between 12 and 15 hours. Low and slow heat. It doesn't lend itself to individual preferences

Had much better barbecue in Memphis. I prefer “ Country Ribs “ cooked German style with lots of sauerkraut.
