Thank you, your channel is teaching me so much! Is there any way you can highlight the ones that meet the criteria? I would still have to go through the table looking for the 11 people that weigh over 330
Very interesting. I have an Excel file with 1,000,000 rows. The columns are X, Y, Z, Power. The Z’s are sequential, as in 0.0001, 0.0002, … 10.000. I need to identify the row numbers where the Z values change to the next integer, like when it goes from 0.9999 to 1 and 1.9999 to 2 etc. Can you help me figure out how to do this? My ultimate goal is to centroid the X’s and Y’s in each bracket and sum the power in each bracket. But the file is so damn large that it’s impossible to work with. The values have to do with power and positions of X-Rays as they pass through a scintillator. Your help is appreciated. Paul
Excellent lesson thank you. One of the things you did right was not to pipe in distracting music. Your instruction's worked even for me an Excel formula challenged individual.
I have a list of 1300 home floor plans of varying square footage but only 103 floor plans. I need to identify which floor plans are +/- 10% of each other as they count as one. For example, a 1300 sf plan and a 1400 sf plan would count as one unique floor plan.
Do we have a text format that can be 4 option. As of now, it only two option. Sample 1,900 to 1.9 but the hundreds should be the 0.1 the format should be 109. Thank you in advance
What if the number of entries is constantly changing, today you have 307 players in the list, tomorrow 500 .. how to make the range adjust dynamically?
I have an important question. At first you said you wanted to know the number of players that weigh more than 330 pounds. But when you were adding the criteria to the function within the cell, you said ">329". Why didn't you say ">330".
This channel has provided me so much alpha in excel which has helped me very much @ the work office. ✅
thanks....very easy to understand

Can't I do that using the filter function by right clicking the top of the column?
Absolutely. Good point. But sometimes it's better to use a formula to generate a number that you can then use in other formulas.
mine keeps coming back as zero or just shows the function in the cell
Thanks, you helped me understand how to write these formulas.
