@@TrickyGym Shiny cards sell better than good designed cards...unfortunately. Very good deck dude. I personally took out Jirachi and duraludon for Meltan and Melmetal. For the price of one pokemon in your hand you heal him for 100 damage. Imagine doing all that hard work to get through damage with +30-50 resistance and then it all gets healed off with one ability activation XD
I remember when I used to play with friends, getting that haxorus turn 2 with rare candy was op as it could one shot almost any pokemon at the time (when it was just ex and mega)
The hearth gold soul silver cards are also less accessible and some of them would be staples wich would technically give an advantage to people that have more cards/older cards and i dont think that should be how the format works, i think anyone should be able to play and build a competitive deck for really cheap
Define "really cheap": Tropical Beach is legal in this format and it's not affordable for most players. Yet it is super valuable in decks like fighting and metal.
I saw that you said players cup was your first time commentating for Pokémon, nobody could tell. It was a great job done and is how I found the channel. You’d make a great content partner for pokemonint. Also, these v/vmax deterring builds are the funnest thing I’ve seen in ptcg in a while!
The only drawback I'm upset about is not being able to play cards like Scizor or Alolan Marowak. Because the prevolutions are always in a different color.
you can since they do not have a rule box and they only have one type. Evidently in this video, the dragon player brings a bunch of energy types together.
im super bummed to know ancient trait pokemon are banned but makes total sense. i tested swampert and it's too good. it can tutor and accelerate energy. the regular swampert is solid in glc. drawing cards is always good!!!!
How can I combine this defense with single strike emboar and abomisnow? Buffs for days! Me and cuz playing expanded but fairly new to game hands single strike (me) vs rapid (cousin) for the most part.
so steel is my favorite type. but how would u play steelix or scissor as onix is rock and scyther is bug. i come from gen 2 and i would be really sad if i couldnt play them.
@@MaxwellDangerS that is sad i under stand. but it would only hurt me if i only used steel energy as onix needs fighting and syther needs grass :(. o well is what it is.
@@shawnhobbs4492 You can use any kind of energy, the limit is only on pokemon types. So you can't play the stage 1s you want, but you can play a deck that uses multiple energy types.
Hey guys, I'm thinking of making an expanded vivid voltage phanphy/lost thunder donphan deck that runs greedent and memory capsule, jirachi and zebstrika for draw power. Tapu Koko prism to accelerate more energy too. It currently has 4 copies of professors research and 3 Marnie. It also plays 4 quick ball, 2 Evo incense and 4 comm. Is there anything that I could do to perhaps increase the consistency, energy acceleration, Pokemon search or draw power, or is it fine as it is? (I'm not sure which draw supporters or Pokemon search to play as this is my first time making an expanded deck and I'm not used to this much variety) if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!
I've not watched this yet but if there isn't that magnezone that accellerates energy and that metagross for free retreat i will be disappointed Edit: WOW both of them weren't there guess i just suck
i don't understand the 1 of each card rule. if i want to play intelion, can i play one sword and shield base set sobble. one promo sobble and 1 rapid strike sobble in my deck? also, what are the rules for basic energy cards. you can't play a mono electric deck for example with only 1 basic lightning energy
You can have unlimited basic energy and the "one of each type" rule refers to name. Since all of those variants are still named sobble, you'd only be allowed one.
it's kinda crazy how this format really brings good card design to the forefront of the entire game.
I don’t get it. They design these really cool cards then make them all unplayable with Pokémon VMAX. What gives

@@TrickyGym funny enough, with how much bling the full art trainers bring, GLC makes them more wanted and even more expensive, not a bad thing at all

Andrew's absolute joy at seeing that Haxorus card is how I wish I felt everyday lol

Agreed!

Love these videos! They're great for finding weak points of decks so I can use a normal control deck at the glc tournament >:)
I've been trying out gym leader decks against the test AI, and I've been liking it.

you are such a sick player! love the content man!
Now I want to see you make a deck with that dragon dance haxorus. Seems like a sick card.
Also, are dual type Pokémon allowed? Was wondering since there are some non rule box ones (I.e. Bisharp from Steam Seige).
these decks are so complex i love it
I used to play this Aegislash in LucMetal, it's awesome
Ah, metal links Bronzong. That brings back memories.
i use the hair shield alolan dugtrio to further reduce damage, it's a lot of fun
Do you think you'll be doing a dark deck video in the future? I have a dark glc deck but I want to see your take on it
you bet!
He played a dark glc deck on stream today, so there's bound to be a video soon.
@@TrickyGym awesome
I think this metal deck needs an update with the new Full Metal Lab and the Metang
That laugh when you realized your shield isn’t going help with that haxorus ability 😂
At least in this format stage 2 Pokémon was good have value
Imagine if Aegislash nullified the 30 damage of Aggron
I know LOL
Ss seviper deck is so good
Yessss more GLC
I can’t believe you missed “ Bron-Zong, Gla-Dion, Float-Stone”
What?
Huh
Idk how to do time stamps but 18.20 you did a rhyme scheme and didn’t do float stone. Bad joke on my end I guess 😅
@@jessecullen4244 like that but replace the period (.) with a colon (:)

Dang dude I just made this deck yesterday too. XD
Could you please do a fairy type deck? I always wanted to make one
I’ve tried my best and the deck is always mediocre. I’d like to see a good one too but I don’t think there is one
Can you start making post rotation deck lists?
Imagine this, full metal wall, metal goggles and scissor vmax
You can't play VMAX pokémon in this format
The only drawback I'm upset about is not being able to play cards like Scizor or Alolan Marowak. Because the prevolutions are always in a different color.
Should use stellar wish jirachi instead with an escape board
Let's go
21:52 Garchomp has 2 cards with free retreat, yet the new regeleki is so heavy and slow it needs 2 energy. It's still bugging me
I'm surprised you didn't go Team Up Jirachi and Escape Board.
If they gusted, you could use Marnie.
Can you use Amazing Pokemon in this format? I know it's monotype but I'm confused about the different types of energy required to use their attacks.
you can since they do not have a rule box and they only have one type. Evidently in this video, the dragon player brings a bunch of energy types together.

googling swampert tcg right after the comment and there is two solid swamperts!!! depends on what your deck needs help in.
Ayyy another glc!
How can I combine this defense with single strike emboar and abomisnow? Buffs for days! Me and cuz playing expanded but fairly new to game hands single strike (me) vs rapid (cousin) for the most part.
Can you play Crowbat Poison Pivot decks with Mucus Ability Weepingbell?
Is it viable?
Is it any better than playing crowgunk?
so steel is my favorite type. but how would u play steelix or scissor as onix is rock and scyther is bug. i come from gen 2 and i would be really sad if i couldnt play them.

Really think he needs to cut down the intro and deck explanation. I legit knocked off, woke up and he was still explaining.
