Seen this last year and even judging from their live performances, they should be bigger than they actually are. Certainly, this is a band with a great reputation around the world but they much deserve to headline festivals and play bigger venues. Underrated just doesn't cut it.
Michael Crosby Do you know what I love all sorts of music but this band has got to be my fav I seen them at leeds a few years ago and love them ever since!!!!!! Love your comment!!!!!
I feel the same way but I also think they're also a band that prefers playing festivals and small shows with one or two thousand fans instead of huge arenas like Green Day or Foo Fighters. But they're certainly one of the most underrated bands I know. Their performances are always on point and there's dozens of bands that were heavily influenced by them
Setlist: 0:19 - Bleed American 3:25 - A Praise Chorus 7:30 - My Best Theory 11:27 - Appreciation 14:42 - Big Casino 18:29 - Chase This Light 22:03 - Let It Happen 25:31 - I Will Steal You Back 28:45 - The Authority Song 32:19 - Sweetness 36:17 - The Middle
They went to my high school and I take lessons from the same guitar teacher. It's pretty kick ass to see the guys doing this good from my hometown. They definitely are underrated though.
What do you mean "underrated"? What awards you have bestowed on them? What new ground are they paving? What do they offer that a million bands don't do? I was 100% with you until you said "they are definitely underrated". No...they are rated exactly as they should be. Underrated is so overused. Wanna know someone TRULY "underrated"?...Pat McManus (Band). The man is so very talented...yet you don't even know who he is.
He probably meant they are underrated compared to other mainstream acts considered in the same/similar genre. Of course you knew that, but made it a pissing contest over who is allowed to be underrated and who isn't.
You clearly don't remember the impact Clarity made on the industry, do ya? The way it cleared the route for all the early 2000s emo and alternative bands... It was something unique, new and unbelievably great both lyrically and musically. There's a reason critics call it "Led Zeppelin IV of emo music" and why fans LOVE this album despite it being a poorly selling one. That CD shook up the industry a bit, and was a major inspiration for tons of bands formed in this century. Futures while not being a ground-breaking LP is universally beloved everywhere upon first hearing. These guys still make great music to this date, with their recent LP Integrity Blues being one of the best alternative LPs released in recent years. They are underrated as hell. But as long as it means they're not forced to make certain type of music to maintain mainstream popularity by their label (as it kinda was an issue with Bleed American) and they've got freedom to make such gems as Integrity Blues, I'm fine with it. I'll just go a couple of hundred kilometers longer to see them.
Kind of crazy but I saw JEW a year ago, 8 years after this performance, and they were noticeably better that tour. Damn none of the band ages at all, vocally, appearance, energy. Hoping they can last a few more years for another tour round so I can bring my kids, who are huge fans too now.
@Chris Goode - big ask, but any chance I could get a copy of this video? Love the band and this performance, just wanna have the original quality etc and blast through my 5.1 set up! Not sure streaming does it full justice. Cheers. Great upload either way, band is so tight!

Michael Crosby I think the same but sadly were don't live in a world where rock is mainstream anymore
Michael Crosby Fuck mainstream, keep it for us.

Michael Crosby They are one of my favorites, just sad that they didn't play anything from Static and Clarity (their two best albums)

Amazing band. Totally unrated
What an awesome band! What an awesome performance! They are just superb!
+Umer Hamid They're so tight! I was there but it's bizarrely almost better watching it back. What a band!

When they played through Futures in the pit later that night, it blew this out of the water
Agreed
That was brilliant
I was there too! Best set of music I've ever been to. Any footage anywhere? The lack of it proves how good it was - no one had time to record!
+xShab305x I disagree. I went to both sets. Both excellent. Man JEW are so good!
Any footage of the pit show?
they just keep getting better and better
They sound fantastic live
Would have killed to be at Reading last year!
I love My Best Theory so freakin much
Me encanta su música, años de años escuchándolos .

Best performance I've seen by them what a show !!!
He was singing "Stumble 'til you crawl" right after the girl at 33:40 fell down.

Best Band ever!

Their show at Leeds was amazing!
Agreedc, they didn't play long enough.
Thanks for putting this up!
i was there - it was amazing
3:37 I can't believe Cyclops is a Jimmy Eat World fan
Check that sweet voice! And everyone is doing great:)
Hope to be someone in that crowd one day. Amazing!!
Thanks for sharing
Pause it at 2.50... wow!

yep, Adam Savage plays in this band 33:47
Lmao the girl at 33:39 who gets spotted by the camera and gets shy
haha @ 33:39 :)
She probably told parents she will stay at friends place, but went to see Jimmy Eat World actually :)
This girl on 33:40... :-)
I'm guessing she was probably meant to be at work that day
@Chris Goode - big ask, but any chance I could get a copy of this video? Love the band and this performance, just wanna have the original quality etc and blast through my 5.1 set up! Not sure streaming does it full justice. Cheers. Great upload either way, band is so tight!
When the crowd goes nuts for "The Middle" because its the only one they know...
No 'Hear You Me'?
what an insult they didn't play Hear You Me
this band held up better than Blink 182
Need to turn up Toms mic.
damn the crowd was bad
Their drummer definitely needs to warm up. First couple songs sucked for drums
+Lost Leopards I hate that when drummers are lazy, uhhhh, take a fucking energy shot for fucks sake
I don't want to sound like one of those ME HIT DRUM drummers, but he really doesn't hit hard enough.
what is wrong with labels these days they are just signing anybody that can not sing like JUSTIN BIEBER
Justin bieber can't even make a decent guitar riff
Musica Basura - Shit music
They're great
