Day 19 of 21 Days of Praying Like Jesus

Day 19: Luke 23:34
34 And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.
Prayer Lesson: One of the most moving moments when Jesus was on the cross, dying an agonizing death for our sins, was when He prayed that God would forgive the people who put Him there. He would then go on and forgive the thief next to Him, who earlier had been mocking Him. Jesus’ heart reflects the Father’s heart. A heart that runs after sinners, embracing them, and forgiving them. How grateful and humble we ought to be to have a Savior who forgives us time and time again. Psalm 103:12 says, “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” And that’s also the heart God has for the people you love who don’t yet know Him. Keep praying and keep witnessing to those people in your life. God loves them!
Prayer for Today: Take some time today to rejoice with God for your salvation. Sing a few songs about God’s love and forgiveness. Finish your time with God praying for the salvation of people you love.
