I am a black man my sexual orientation is heterosexual, and i love elton john. I went into a all white karaoke bar one night in Joshua, Texas USA. and i sung this song. the crowd went crazy screaming and yelling "Please Sing it Again". I have never been able to capture the excitement i felt that night. Thank you Sir Elton for this song.

@djmarkcotter Nothing is wrong with the audience. They have respect for Sir Elton. Instead of what most would do(jumping up and down, screaming loud and acting like idiots), they are simply listening to the music, letting Sir Elton do what he does best. You don't have to act like a fool to show your love for Sir Elton. Just listen to his music and appreciate what he has given us.

Agreed...this performance is so spot on...the great musicians always give better live performances than what you hear on the album.

when you think about what this guy has done, it's so impressive.
He has captured the world with his singing and piano playing.
I love the singing this guy does. I first saw him in concert in Calgary about 11~ years ago and he was just playing with a piano and no other music and he rocked the house for *3* hours and everyone was engaged.
To do this without the britney spears light show/dancing/blah blah.. it shows the Talent vs production.
ELTON, YOU RULE BRO... COME TO CALGARY AGAIN

That settles it..... I'm going to buy the DVD.... That is an amazing performance. I am a piano player myself and it's amazing how he is capable of playing the piano like that while he is singing. Not that many piano players can do that. It takes many years of practice to perform like he does.

It's not "they" who add the effects, but the piano is electronic and you can add layers -- like symphony orchestra, etc. Anyone who plays keyboards can do this.

i don't care what he is - he could have the devil gene like Kazuya Mishima, I DON'T CARE!! whenever you can rock a house with just a piano and your voice, you don't need validation from a few persnickety bigots!! this is a true artist who's been around longer than most of us has been alive... in the tenure of his career, many have risen and fallen... but he's still standing... so please, stop pigeon-holing the dude for one thing, because he's more and greater than just one, miniscule part
