Cool of her to actually listen and understand his anxiety. My mother has dealt with hepatitis, cancer, and all the other health problems they caused. She's spent years in the hospital and starts uncontrollably hyperventilating in them, and not a single doctor has ever taken us seriously when we try to warn them about it beforehand. It's shockingly rare to find a doctor who hasn't been desensitized and just doesn't care anymore.

I know what you are saying. My mom had to have extremely vomiting producing chemotherapy for ovarian cancer. And her psyche was so traumatized by this that her vomiting would begin when we started to go to the hospital for the chemotherapy treatment. It was terrible. Drs couldn't believe that psychosomatic reflex could be so strong. But finally they gave antiametic rx to take before we got in the car to go to hospital.

I can tell none of you guys commenting know what medical PTSD is like at all. he obviously have severe anxiety and trauma from seeing some of his loved ones passing away from cancer. his fear makes sense. just because he's a grown man, that does NOT mean he needs to "man up". You can NOT completely rid of PTSD, and it seems like he has never gotten help for it at all, which is most likely why it's still so bad.

Trauma can come from any sort of big event that changed you in any way, like the loss of a loved one, abuse, or like you, war. Ptsd stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, not Post Traumatic War Disorder. Lots of people can have it, it's not a competition to see who has the most trauma. Also sorry that you've experienced trauma in your life. But sohave other people, like my mother. She had medical ptsd because she almost lost two of my older sisters at very young ages because of heart problems they were born with. Again, ptsd is not just caused by war, if you want more information, i suggest googling about it and studying it or contacting a professional. Have a nice day :)

My father has extensive medical trauma from childhood, so it was even more stressful when he got his cancer diagnosis. We only found out because he randomly started acting drunk, even though he doesn't drink. He was so out of it that my brother and I were able to boss him (tell him to go sit down, drink water, basically parent him) around when he is usually the most stubborn person imaginable. His behavior, we later learned, was due to a brain tumor. He is receiving treatment at Sloan Kettering, and the medical staff has been excellent with regard to his medical anxiety. They even get him to joke around with them every once in a while, which is huge, seeing that before this, my father hadn't stepped into a doctor's office in over a decade. I genuinely believe if they had been dismissive of my father's medical trauma - he would have died due to not complying with the treatment.

@@HanMestov the audacity of you to patronise me when you've obviously not done a sec of research. The same WHO policies have been implemented everywhere in Europe, U.S, new zealand, australia:
1- hospitals were to not treat anyone over 65, so they took ill people from hospitals and placed them in care homes and hospices with very little care ( most of staff gone home due to false positives). They claim they had to do this bc soon there'd be ppl dropping dead in the street and miiiiilllions would die worldwide, which NEVER happened, yet these ppl were left to die of neglect, many of such simple things like dehydration.
2 - they used the PCR tests to cause hysteria, tests that aren't specific for sars covid 2 virus and that will ALWAYS give positive if you run more than 35 cycles, which was done everywhere.
3 - hospitals were instructed to claim EVERYTHING as covid death, if you had a car accident, went to hospital and tested 'positive' there with the shitty PCR test and you then died of the car accident injuries, you were labelled as a covid death. This is stated clearly in the CDC guidelines and there's multiple videos of CDC spokesmen and heads of state corroborating this.
4 - since there are no reliable tests tomdate you have NO WAY scientifically to be able to claim you're even dealing with anew disease. You only need to look at how the numbers of flu and pneumonia deaths almost vanished after the covid hysteria began. It doesn't take a fucking genius to understand why.
5 - There was NO EXCESS DEATH as expected of a real pandemic in most countries, in Spain for example, a country with allegedly one of the highest death rates, 26.000 people more died in 2018 than in 2020.
Basically stop being a retard and wake the fuck up. Go research The Great Reset, understand the interests behind the WHO, the WEF and that they're using a fake pandemic to 'reset' the economy and take away our rights forever.

You obviously don't know about Su Verhoven then. Look her up she had a really horrible deep cyst in her upper back. She's in the UK & the Drs there couldn't get it fixed. She contacted Dr. Lee & the show via TLC & both turned her away. Fan's of Dr. John Gilmore contacted him & he worked it out. He got a hospital & surgeon in TX to do it for next to nothing & Dr. Gilmore let Su & her husband stay nearly 2 weeks at his home with him & his wife & daughter while she recovered. Both Su & Dr. Gilmore have it on their channels, but again Dr. Lee & then TLC wouldn't help her & they blew a huge PR opportunity & a multiple episode case.

He has his reasons, and the main one is, they are EXTREMELY CALMING TO YOUR NERVES. That little text bubble that the editors put in saying that smoking increases tension and all, that's HORSE SHIT. FLAT OUT WRONG, A LIE. I'm a recovering (sober/clean for 6 years now) alcoholic and drug addict myself, and can assure you, smoking my cigarettes were easily one of the very best tools in my arsenal to fight off anxiety and withdrawals, and especially NOW, in my maintenance program of staying clean and sober. i am working in a 12-step program, the same ones everyone knows about.... and even though I was already a smoker when I got sober, I learned through reading our literature and from others, that drinking a lot of coffee, soft drinks, tea or smoking/dipping are all perfectly fine things to hold onto, vs. the alternative, which is to use/drink again. So, yeah.... I smoke still, and they calm my nerves like nothing else, shy of prescription anxiety meds.
Point being...... when someone with a phobia like our friend here in the video needs a smoke because he's nervous.... don't laugh, or criticize him. HE's coping with an inner demon, an inner fear that terrifies him to no end the very best way he knows how.

That’s the difference between reality and ‘his little bubble of reality’. It’s a literal ‘have your cake and eat it’ moment.
You can’t complain and expect others to give you constant special treatment…when you yourself, do not follow the same advice because they’re affixed to your vices.
It just goes to show that a lot of this is skin deep (no pun intended) - and only really effects him when he chooses to let it effect himself.

@@NightOfTheLiving8bit That's a pretty uncharitable view of things... It sounds like he has severe psychological issues, it's not as easy as 'following your own advice'. And I didn't hear him complaining or asking for special treatment, he was just choosing to take himself out of situations he was uncomfortable with - something we all have a right to, rational or not. It doesn't cost anything to try to be understanding instead of automatically assuming people are just selfish jerks.

That's above and beyond the normal for doctor offices. I know I keep going to my appointments because they often try to schedule me when there's less overall people due to my issues with anxiety and social issues because of it. Same with my mental health counselor, appointment times when it's generally less people (max 3 or 4). They make the effort because they can. Makes you appreciate those in healthcare that do that extra to help someone like Dr. Lee and her staff.
