My absolute favorite part of this series is the camaraderie and friendliness of the competition. Kevin seems to be such a kind guy and I really appreciate his willingness to be included in the videos.
I don't care who wins anymore. You two are amazing! Not only the mileage but how you deal with each other everyday! Looking forward to 6 more videos :)
Having the Live fix mid day then a wrap-up vid at night is awesome!!! Thanks for gettin all that in while tryin also keep ahead. I'll understand if you have to cut it back later but it will also destroy me to be cut off :O
At this point I am rooting for a tie! What an epic battle - and both of you are so good natured. It is so refreshing to see a well-contested battle between two worthy competitors!
Hello 👋 I have followed you for a very long time now but unsure if I've ever commented. I AM LOVING THIS SERIES !!! the rivalry is so good to watch and only in our wonderful sport/ hobby , do you see such incredible sportsmanship. Honesty well done and good luck to you both
Shout out to you both for this epic adventure, and thank you, @Jamil, for documenting the fun for all of us! I am the runner who came out sporting the Aravaipa Pass Mountain kit. FYI-You gave me a wahoo when it mattered at the Black Canyon Ultras during my first 60k, just keeping the virtuous circle going. This challenge is such a great reflection of the fun spirited nature of the ultra community, and it was a pleasure coming out to cheer you both on and add some segments for our local efforts to potentially raise Tempe on the leadership board. Best wishes on an excellent experience and swift recovery!
This is an awesome battle and it's been very fun following along! Thank you for recording and sharing with us! Chipotle should award you both when it's all said and done.
I’m impressed that you have the mental energy to whip out the laptop after 24 miles and edit a video before getting back on course. I feel like I would be a zombie while sitting in that coffee shop 😂
Thank you for providing such a fun distraction during these crazy times we are living in! And I sincerely hope the interest this has generated leads to more awesome RSGH content!
I’d be so socially awkward here… do you wave at each other every lap? You pass each other twice per segment, so like 200 times a day. Give a “woo” or a slight wave, thumbs up, nod? What do you do?!?! I can just ignore y’all for that long haha
Brilliant , its 5.40am here in scotland Uk and its the first thing ive done before even showering before work , so addictive and so much fun , build the motivation for work 😂
That would be cool if Kevin gets Jupiter to pace him. Hopefully will get some videos from the race. The tension is building, time running down. Even got me looking on Strava to sign up for the Newport segment, but is a drive in traffic and I have work:( Wish I new about this at the beginning, I don't even eat at Chipotle🤣, guess will have to wait for Aravaipa local legend challenge, will just have to imagine it is a multi site event and one of the locations is around Lakewood CA.🏃♀
Theese videos will age into a cultural phenomenon, and in turn ; into other documentaries, a true glimpse into the human condition, an increasingly dynamic epic story it’s about so much more than the burritos 🌯 :modern philosophy:
I actually had a dream last night about Forrest Gump running on that road w/all the people behind him. Guess watching this series is seeping into my inner mind workings🤣 Wish I had video editing skills; I would volunteer to help w/the videos. I'm retired (not by choice) and have been thinking about contacting race directors and such to see about learning editing and doing it as a volunteer. Thinking I may have a knack for it but there would be a learning curve. Could be a valuable skill for the future. Good luck w/the sore spots I'm sure you will persevere, Jamil!
Yo Jamil what do you do for recovery, do you foam roll, stretch ? Impressive how your body is holding after upping the volume this fast and not being 23 anymore lol.
Kev should've piggy backed your videos with reaction videos, his side of things. I'm riveted by this battle, as good as Miller vs Hawks. But hey, not everyone is interested in being a youtuber.
Man after running 20-40 miles back to back to back the last thing many people want to do is record edit and upload a video. Jamil is used to it but that doesn’t make it easier
For data sake please consider uploading smaller units to Strava. I am concerned about losing segments due to technical glitches with your watch or with Strava. Food for thought...
I often wonder whether extending a run while feeling good is better than stopping to recover planning to get the extra mileage the next day on fresh legs. During past marathon training I've done marathon "weekends" where I tried to do 26.2 miles over 2-3 days. Is 13-13 better or 18-8 or 20-6, etc.? Could Jamil just crush it one day with 75 miles and then do a "light" 25 mile day and be better off or is 50-50 better?
oh here's a hack I haven't seen- is there a pedestrian button at the one street crossing? If so, have someone stationed there to push the button as you approach so you never have to wait at red :-)
How many more days before they both just arrive in the morning, and with their leads over third place they just sit there in lawn chairs waiting for the other to start to move...
With all due respect, if anyone deserves free Chipotle for a year, it’s Vegan Cyclist, Tyler Pearce. He FKTed Canada to Mexico biking solo. All that with an epic burrito to mile ratio! Great video and cheers to you.
I don't know Kevin, but that "Birds of the PCT" shirt is the most Kevin shirt of all time.🤣 I love it!
That dang leaderboard music is stuck in my head all day. Thanks.
For videos of people running up and down a street, this is compelling viewing! 😄 Loving the competition
How is there not local Tempe news crews out there covering the race of the century?
Just email this to them
“That 50 miler yesterday was a lot of miles” indeed
This is so entertaining! It's pointless, it's gotta be so monotonous, it's the running content we want and love! Kudos from an average hobby runner.
I’m down for the ultra running/skating collab! Ryan Lay is the most interesting guy in skateboarding.
I love Kevin's smile as you two pass each other 😁. The competition is great fun to watch.
Go go Tempe 👍❤️
You and Kevin are amazing. It cracks me up when you say it’s chilly. Oh Arizona.
Kevin is such a cool dude... the "competition" between you guys is truly one of gentlemen & mutual respect. props.
Getting those big miles in despite the best efforts of Big Parking, Big Street Thievery and Big Sun Umbrella.
Having the Live fix mid day then a wrap-up vid at night is awesome!!! Thanks for gettin all that in while tryin also keep ahead. I'll understand if you have to cut it back later but it will also destroy me to be cut off :O
This is so absolutely inspiring. Thanks Jam-Jam and also ...Kevin.
At this point I am rooting for a tie! What an epic battle - and both of you are so good natured. It is so refreshing to see a well-contested battle between two worthy competitors!
This is the most wholesome competition! this is what I need as I train to try and go sub 4h30m at the Atlanta Marathon! Keep up the great work man!!
Hello 👋 I have followed you for a very long time now but unsure if I've ever commented.

Cool to hear a Jupiter call out, fan of his too 😁
You and Kevin need to get a small burrito tattoo at the tattoo shop you guys run by to commentate the competition.
Shout out to you both for this epic adventure, and thank you, @Jamil, for documenting the fun for all of us! I am the runner who came out sporting the Aravaipa Pass Mountain kit. Thanks for sharing! Never thought I would be watching this every morning but I am!!! Keep on keeping on!!
I’m so invested in this. I get excited every time I see a new video posted. The UA-cam algorithm really hit with this recommendation.
Watching from Mississippi. Love the competition between you and Kevin.
one must imagine sisyphus as happy
😂👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Loving these videos. Shout out to Vicky for keeping an iron grip on 3rd!
You guys rock this challenge. I'm getting more and more invested every day. Wishing you all the best for the last days.
This is an awesome battle and it's been very fun following along! Thank you for recording and sharing with us! Chipotle should award you both when it's all said and done.

It was so much fun to be out there! I'll swing by this Tues and Wed
Thank you for providing such a fun distraction during these crazy times we are living in! And I sincerely hope the interest this has generated leads to more awesome RSGH content!
Oh yeah, that fresh tangerine juice lifesaver shout out your mom and dad
'Things have just gotten serious. Kevin just pulled out the sun umbrella." too funny
So much awesomeness, loving it.
I’d be so socially awkward here… do you wave at each other every lap? You pass each other twice per segment, so like 200 times a day. Give a “woo” or a slight wave, thumbs up, nod? What do you do?!?! I can just ignore y’all for that long haha
You and Kevin are great. All smiles thanks for uploading the vids for us to follow along 😊
I love the surrealism of watching you talk about uploading yesterday‘s vlog on today’s vlog.
Appreciating the updates man, thanks, helps a lot!
Brilliant , its 5.40am here in scotland Uk and its the first thing ive done before even showering before work , so addictive and so much fun , build the motivation for work 😂
The combination of competition and camradarie is so awesome
That would be cool if Kevin gets Jupiter to pace him. Hopefully will get some videos from the race.

This competition is amazing and so awesome to follow along.
The excitement keeps building! 🤩
g'day from Oz. been following along with you madlads
Beware. Listening to the leaderboard music before bedtime leads to earworm ALL NIGHT LONG
Another great vid!!!! Tomorrow the clutch starts I think!!! 72-hour run?????? 🎉🎉🎉 You guys are building a bond that will stand always❤❤❤

"I'm pretty tired. I think I'll have my burrito now"
Chipotle needs to hook up both of these dudes
Lets go Jamil
Yo Jamil what do you do for recovery, do you foam roll, stretch ? Impressive how your body is holding after upping the volume this fast and not being 23 anymore lol.
Hoping both of you end up over 1000 segments ahead of the rest of the leaderboard by the finish!
Hope chipotle will do something for whoever comes in second as well
Kev should've piggy backed your videos with reaction videos, his side of things. I'm riveted by this battle, as good as Miller vs Hawks. But hey, not everyone is interested in being a youtuber.
Nah I love the quiet dignity of what he’s doing!!
Man after running 20-40 miles back to back to back the last thing many people want to do is record edit and upload a video. Jamil is used to it but that doesn’t make it easier
RYAN LAY
Amazing! Watching from GA
This is so real that I’m feeling your pain!
Can’t fkn wait for my birds of the PCT shirt baby woooooo!
Hooked on this... Can't wait for the finish😅
What's the +141 and +144 for you and Kevin?
Omg 😂 can’t wait for the finale
Yesss way to get it out - heroic
Just getting warmed up and feeling great at 35 miles. Remember that for tomorrow. 😂😂😂
I love Kevin! But he should spot Jam Jam some segments for all these UA-cam videos
Maybe a series of breaks at that local tattoo shop for a tat of a running Chipotle burrito?
For data sake please consider uploading smaller units to Strava. I am concerned about losing segments due to technical glitches with your watch or with Strava. Food for thought...
As long as we keep using Coros and not Garmin I’m hoping we are in the clear but yea that’s a risk huh
Can we get an update on some of the other cities? I know Viky yesterday said that Tempe wasn't going to catch SF?
This flag idea is clutch. I have never wanted a burrito so many days in a row before.
Truly amazing!
Get it JAM!

I love the Pirates of the Caribbean music
oh here's a hack I haven't seen- is there a pedestrian button at the one street crossing? If so, have someone stationed there to push the button as you approach so you never have to wait at red :-)
They probably don’t mind an excuse to stop a few moments 🤪
@@marlinweekley51 by the end of the challenge they might :)
This is awesome!
are you starting/ending the segment a little pass it to make sure it counts it?
Where can we see the standings online? I can’t see all the competitors on Strava
Wow, just wow
How many more days before they both just arrive in the morning, and with their leads over third place they just sit there in lawn chairs waiting for the other to start to move...
Make your runs private until the last day. They won’t count towards the local legend until you make them public!
We want to know what you're listening to all day out there!
Boss!
❤❤💚💚
This is out of control...
Nearly 1200 miles pff
With all due respect, if anyone deserves free Chipotle for a year, it’s Vegan Cyclist, Tyler Pearce. He FKTed Canada to Mexico biking solo. All that with an epic burrito to mile ratio! Great video and cheers to you.
I will despise Kevin until the day that I die
🇺🇸🚀🏁🦸🏽♂️ you guys would make the Army special forces a run for their lunch.
Go @jamil, following this epic battle from Illinois, don’t want it to end but the excitement is real for the victor.
