That entire album is one song to me. Every song played in context is 1000 times better than individually. You have to react to the entire album to get the full impact of each song.
I don't think there's a bad song on this album. It felt like the whole of the UK bought it when it came out, including me. You can tell there educated boys from Oxfordshire !
Outside their first album there are very few bad songs in their entire catalog and I can not say that about any other band ( even the handful of songs that I do not love I can still appreciate what they were trying to do ).
it took awhile for radiohead to find their signature calling. the same for older bands like faith no more, their first two albums were more post punk funk rock then anything, but as they got older they formed their signature experimental calling sound.
@@JustinPanariello This track was good. More interesting than some of the other tracks I was told I should listen to (many years ago). Totally agree about the Beatles - they really only start becoming interesting around Rubber Soul & Revolver, when they start experimenting with different instruments & inventing studio techniques.
Radiohead number 2 on my all time list. I agree with your Pablo Honey comment but I do love The Bends. Having said that, OK Computer and beyond is where it is at with the band. They are incredible live and have been able to see them ten times.
I think most of us care about what you like. It makes us recommending songs easier. After this first month, I can tell that it is pretty easy to pick a song that you might like. Just have to find a band in R&B, jazz, rock, metal, progressive, country and I think we can find some good bands for you. 😀 This band is not what I’ve ever really care for. I don’t know why, but I always found them to sound a bit generic to me. It’s probably an unfair opinion as I haven’t listen to enough of them. The song was OK as it started off kind of slow, but I like the build up towards the end. When I think of wall of sound, I usually think of a band like Porcupine Tree, or Devin Townsend. Especially Devin Townsend , but his wall of sound can be very tiring to your ears at times. So keep the music coming from the things that you like. I don’t care if you did it daily or you do it just a couple of times a month.
I know Radiohead is like supposed to be a band that all musicians love.... but it is to me what Rush is to a lot of people, especially the voice. I am very sorry to all but I can't listen to a whole song let alone album of Radiohead ( I own 5 albums, why!). I think it's mostly the depressing voice that makes 3 minutes feel like 10 for me, once again I'm sorry, I'm sure they are as good as everybody says they are.
The 'you know where you are' falsetto gives me goosebumps every time

My favorite Radiohead song of all time. Masterpiece.

Radiohead makes me happy. Even their sad songs.
I echo your sentiment, luv RADIOHEAD, their the modern day Pink Floyd
Play more RADIOHEAD, "Exit music for a film"
Great song from a classic album.
This song always struck me
Radiohead is not Beethoven but it´s a very good shit, they rocks!
Radiohead has grown on me over time. When I first heard them, though, I thought they sounded like U2 on barbiturates.
A lot of people like Pablo Honey and The Bends... i'm more into OK Computer and on.

You don't have to be very intelligent and with little knowledge of music to say that the music that Radiohead makes is generic.
Steve Wilson is a big Radiohead fan.
