IMO one of the big issues with network automation is the lack of "Where do I go next?". Networking was easy, you want to get into networking, well the CCNA is setup for that, get more into it CCNP. There isn't an equivalent for automation sadly: there is the CCNA dev, but that seems to be mostly learning the ins and outs of a few peaces of Cisco gear.
