Install the app for this pen. You will be super happy that you did. You can adjust the pen setting (speed, temperature, and material) and update the firmware on the pen.
Very cool unboxing and use of the multi use tool. The package deal is well worth it too, thanks for sharing this and taking the time to go through all the different tools it comes with.
I love how you go the extra mile with these reviews, you made use of every feature to make something awesome! The idea of it having a foam cutter is also great. I will definitely look into getting one of these.
As an owner of the 3DSimoMini I feel as if it is "review sin" that you failed to mention the accompanying app for the pen (considering that you get commission from this lol). For those who do not know; the app (for both ios and android) communicates with your pen via bluetooth and offers greater control than is available through the on device screen such as: custom material profiles, speed and temperature control and various video tutorials. I think it is also worth mentioning that the pen uses 1.75mm filament, so you can use standard 3d printing filament spools of the same size. In fact these days I use 1.75mm filament almost exclusively so I don't have to buy extra separate filament for my pen. I carry this thing in my bag daily along with a meter of filament, wire and solder. It has come in real handy for repairing various things and it takes up almost no space because I can just use my phone charger to power it.
If it is any consolation: I personally don't use it. The on device screen is good enough for what I use it for but I figured it was at least worth pointing out.
ive been binge watching all your videos for 2 days now and you are QUICKLY becoming my favourite and most entertaining you tuber. Your videos are so relaxing and satisfying!! keep up the AMAZING work and AMAZING videos😇❤️
I can tell you right now: I'm drooling at this thing, 3d printing pens are very useful for miniatures, and the foam cutter built in is just HALLELUJAH!
it's the second of December and you sit outside of your house in a tshirt in the sun. if i want to go out i need to wear two tshirts, two sweaters and a jacket😺
Actually, there exists a plug-on battery for this pen. I already got the device and I am considering this. And if you have a smartphone, you can control it via this. Then you can also set speed and temperature.
Make Anything // 3D Printing Channel I heard you can get the 3Doodler Start at Target for $50.00. When I get the 3Doodler Start, I am going to make 3Doodles!
19:32 our stem teacher did that with the 3d printer with the nozzle heated to 200 Celsius. We called it the [last name] test. Now your doing the devin test. It’s basically just touching something to see if it’s too hot. That’s like smelling toxic fumes to see if something’s emitting them! 😂
It would be cool if you could design a little fidget toy, with little buttons, dials cogs and switches etc. I've seen similar things but never a 3D printed design.
With the LEDs we did something similar in school, except we didn't solder we just wrapped the wires around the LED base and then used electrical traps to bind it.
I just got the xmas package for christmas. this is an extensive and awesome package and i'm going to be playing with it tonight. thank you for this video! this review made me want this really bad, and by luck I was not just given the kit, but the whole christmas package! thanks!!
Wow, I'm in middle school, and we recently just cut out foam prototypes with foam cutters and no masks on; Because it's school, and they are cheap. But soldering and foam cutting give off poisonous gases? Thanks for the tip, and I subscribed! You are awesome!👌
Have you thought about doing a full video reviewing all of the 3D printing pens you've tried? I would love to hear your thoughts on how they compare to one another.
i love this channel!! youve started to encourage me to try one of the pens..my father agreed to buy the 3doodler start. with watching your videos and getting more encouraged and creative by the minute, ill be ready and set to be come a 3d doodling person. keep up these amazing videos! 😃
For your soldering, you heat the wires, not the solder... just a tip. The solder should heat by contact with the wiring, and it wicks into the wires for a cleaner and more secure bond. That's why you're getting that kind of "bubble" blob thing going on. Good videos man. Got a 3Doodler when I got sick as a gift to keep my mind busy... can't say I'm very good with it but found a modeling use for it that doesn't take a tremendous level of skill that made me happy haha.
Can you test out the MYNT3D Professional Printing 3D Pen with OLED Display? I asked for it for Christmas but I just want to see what I'm getting into before I receive it or buy it. Thanks :)
Hi Devin! It's begining to be christmas and i was thinking of which 3D pen i should wish for christmas. Do you have an idere for a 3D pen that is not to expensiv and for beginers?
nice video, am a beginner at this, but could you use a wet sponge to test the tool tips, like regular soldering irons (if they are hot, the water in the sponge boils--makes a definite hiss sound) also can be used to clean the tips of material.
Watching this, I had an idea for a wind gauge. Could you make a wind mill that turned a gear to make two small batteries tap each other which would blink an LED? So by looking outside you could see the frequency and know how fast the wind was blowing?
My Prusa MK2 printer should be in next week. After I build it, I'll see if I can't get something designed and printed. I'll link you to it if it comes to fruition!
This would be immensely useful for a friend of mine who solders LED's to crystals, could probably use even the 3D element and the foam cutter for the projects.
i'm really glad i came upon your channel!! it keeps me well entertained and has me add a 3d pen to my wishlist ahaha Maybe a future project you can do is ' draw your life ' kind of thing? that'd be interesting! and it'd give your viewers a better chance to know you ^^
heey Devin (sorry if i spelled it wrong) you defenitely should do another video about the 3d simo mini because it DOES have different speeds. If you download the 3d simo app in the store (free) you can set your temperature, speed, material and download templates. you have 3 speeds with a small temperature difference the higher it is the faster.
I pre ordered it with a battery pack and it said it would ship in late June and it never came, then the said sometime in August, it never came , waited till September and then cancelled my pro order
Gerrit same here dude. my mom got me the Christmas package. the original 3d Simo broke in 3 days, they haven't responded to my mom's email, she emailed about 6 months ago
me too i didnt get mine and i didnt even get a refund. It seems very much like a scam because they gave a tracker ID and i tried it with the courier and nothing.
Nice Video as always. The solder you have is better suited for Pipes, for electric Soldering there is much better wire where the Flux is inside the wire.
You're becoming one of my favorite youtubers purely because youre a unique and very creative channel!

HonestSpiritual crazy! I saw there was an app but figured out wouldn't do much, but that sounds really cool
Please never ever get rid of the background music u play when you do time lapses of you printing things.🙏
Final Equinox yesss Ikr its so satisfying
Final Equinox Do you know the name of the song?
YES PLEASE!
Very cool unboxing and use of the multi use tool. The package deal is well worth it too, thanks for sharing this and taking the time to go through all the different tools it comes with.
loving the 3d pen reviews, i hope they dont end till there are no more to review
Test the heat of the Tool with a wet sponge . Also it is a good way to clean the tool .
good tip, thanks!
Make Anything // 3D Printing Channel hi

This whole video is incredibly satisfying :')
I would love a 3d pen but there all so expensive any ideas for some some cheap 3d pens that are good quality?
+Shadow Gamer_09 I've only used the ones I've reviewed, so I can't vouch for the cheapest ones :/ I'd like to try one out for comparison though
Make Anything // 3D Printing Channel I heard you can get the 3Doodler Start at Target for $50.00. When I get the 3Doodler Start, I am going to make 3Doodles!
Make Anything // 3D Printing Channel Wouldn't $50.00 be cheap?
Although the Pen is cheap, you must yuse the company's own filament so, overtime it will cost you a lot

I don't have a 3D printer, pen, or the skills to use them but damnnnnn I love these videos and your personality 😁
Awesome video!! I really liked the lighthouse that you made. Great job, and stay creative!!
I love the music in the background when you print things!

Thats so cool!! You should do more projects with the 3D Simo mini!!
I was going to suggest him trying out this pen, I'm glad he could read my mind!
Oh wow, you inspired me to make a lighthouse and four buildings! Uh digitally, I only watch you for the 3d printed stuff. Great work btw!
You could try to make a skateboard, not the biggest one but the little, would be cool.
you should do a video where you pick your favorite 3d printing pen that you have reviewed and why it is your fav
you Can download the app on your phone it connects wireless and you can choose more options
With the LEDs we did something similar in school, except we didn't solder we just wrapped the wires around the LED base and then used electrical traps to bind it.
could you make a video on different types of filament? like wood, metal, termochrome, etc. it'd be very interesting to see how they look printed out

one of the best ways to test to see if it is cool enough is to hold your hand over the bit and if it the air around it feels really warm it is too hot
I came for the pen review, but stayed for the sound effects

test to see if it's cooled down with a scrap piece of foam, that's what we use to test our foam cutting tools (they cool fast tho, only a small wire)
never seen this type art very good. Which one is better 3d pen 3doddler or the scribbler
