The top two D2 call ups they should go for are Angelo State (good enrollment numbers and football power) and Central Oklahoma (3rd largest enrollment in the state only behind OSU and OU, and a football loving state that does not have an FCS team). these also won't stretch their footprint much and support regional rivalries to give the WAC an identity. Although unlikely, I feel the need to mention that they should try to go for Denver and Oral Roberts because they are already geographic outliers in the Summit league.
Come on. West Texas, while a great candidate for D1, they aren’t moving up as long as their President is there. Is it possible that he retires, and the new president want to fast track the move to D1? Sure. It’s also possible that the new president feels the same way as his predecessor, so they stay D2. Some of those schools you named would have to add a couples sports, to meet D1 and Title IX requirements! Many or missing a men’s sport. I believe a schools needs 6 men’s sports for D1. But they can’t adding a men’s sport, and have football, without adding a women’s sport to meet Title IX! This is not an insurmountable barrier. It will take a lot of money and commitment from the university.
@@damascuslutin3956 I did one a while back, and now I don't think the conference is in a stable position to make any such much. I think a couple of schools may move up and that is about it.
I know you don't normally do this but the WNBA has been getting a lot of buzz with the arrival of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese among other rookies in this years rookie class but you should do a video on Wnba 🏀 expansion Golden State Valkyries are coming in 2025 and Toronto is getting a team in 2026 giving the league 14 teams overall but I think 20 teams should be the magic number for now
In a 20 team Wnba league 10 teams in East and 10 teams in West then you could include the NBA play-in tournament teams 7-10 seeds the 4 teams left out of Wnba playoffs are part of the Wnba draft lottery
I think C-USA should add one more Texas school and I would say Stephen F Austin over Tarleton State simply because SFA has the rivalry with Sam Houston State you could play that game annually in Houston @ NRG stadium like they did in the FCS
So what's your thoughts 🤔 on my Wnba video idea on expansion going to 20 teams for me Eastern conference Indiana Fever Chicago SKY New York Liberty Connecticut Suns Washington Mystics Atlanta Dream Toronto ? Detroit Shock (relaunched) Charlotte Sting (relaunched) Orlando Miracle Western conference LA Sparks Phoenix Mercury Las Vegas Aces Minnesota Lynx Seattle Strom Golden State Valkyries Dallas Wings Houston comets (relaunched) Sacramento Queens Denver Gold a 20 team league
@@damascuslutin3956 That could be a possibility, however I did not entertain that possibility since I have not heard much about them relaunching football.
