I firmly believe that they are like children, that is they need to be constantly praised in order to be confident and communicative instead of being focused on their mistakes only. If you think about it, every kid is a perfectionist in the beginning. They strive to do the best they can - it is in their nature. Laziness, procrastination and unconfidence are things that we learn while growing up.

I won't, my head is too busy learning, so there isn't much room for stuff like vanity. You see, I have a theory about English leaning. Unfortunately, it is not a conspiracy one, but still... Adults who learn a language are like kids, too. I mean, in my opinion, one is as "old" in English as long he has been learning it. (assuming they do it regularly) An adult may use more fancy words than a native kid of the "same age", but basically if we compare them the similarities will be obvious.
I agree! In my experience, adults love having a safe place to let their inner child out (especially when learning a language). Kids learn their mother tongue in the kitchen, not the classroom. So if my business ever turns into a physical school, I'm going to design it like a kitchen, not a classroom. 😁
