  • New Ikea PAX Wardrobe with sliding doors Tutorial Part:2. Learn how to easily assemble your new IKEA PAX wardrobe sliding doors in this step-by-step tutorial. We will guide you through the process with clear instructions and helpful tips to make sure your PAX wardrobe is set up perfectly. From attaching the tracks to installing the doors, we've got you covered. Joining IKEA PAX wardrobe frames together is a crucial step in creating a larger storage solution. The frames can be joined side-by-side. The top and bottom rails play an important role in the stability and functionality of your PAX wardrobe sliding doors. The top rail provides a guide for the doors to slide on and helps ensure they open and close smoothly. The bottom rail acts as a support for the doors and helps keep them in place when opening and closing. It's important to make sure these rails are securely attached to the wardrobe frame, so your PAX doors operate properly. In this video, we'll show you the proper techniques for installing the top and bottom rails and ensure your PAX wardrobe has a seamless and long-lasting performance.

    Very instructive and useful video series; Question: Why didn't you use the dedicated joining screws the first time around? Why using just the regular screws on the front before adding the top and bottom rails, and later on go with the joining screws?
    I would have thought it was better to secure it once and for all at the beginning? Wondering if there was a reason behind this.

    My only issue is I have 4 smaller (narrower) units instead of 2 larger units. I had to tap both my upper and lower brackets on with a rubber mallet and they cut slightly into the wood. It could be that the bracket middle three openings need to be a bit wider to accommodate differences between the two assemblies. I did notice a hairline gap at the top of one unit that could have caused this in one side but not both sides. Anyhow your instructions are highly detailed and appreciated…especially the closeups.

    I have secured the bottom rail with no problems, however, I can't get the top rail on at all. It does not push in far enough to line up with the screw holes amd I cannot bang it in like you have shown in the video.

    Hello, I would be glad if you answer my question, that's so important for me. I have 3.10 meters ceiling, so I want to buy a pax wardrobe with 236 cm length. However, there is a natural gas pipe passing over the wall. So, I only have 234 cm. Because of 2 cm, what should I do? Can I cut down the bottom of the wardrobe, can I open the sliding doors, then? Or should I cut down the back of the wardrobe and insert the pipes into the wardrobe?

    • @PPFlatPack
      @PPFlatPack  Рік тому

      Hard to say can't see how the pipe is going. If you have older Ikea Pax Wardrobe (previous model) than yes 2cm is fine to cut from the bottom (doit only if you know what you doing) here is it how is done ua-cam.com/video/ehWybREbdF4/v-deo.html If you have the new one I don't know there is the new bottom rail never did with that one.

    We are trying to build this at the moment but our top rail does not align in the middle. We have a very minute lip at the top for some reason and cannot get the top rail on now matter what we are trying! Any suggestions before we try and sand it down and ruin the wardrobe?!

    Does anyone know the size of a single panel used for the 78 3/4x79 1/8" Sized PAX, which will use the 39 3/8x79 1/8" panels? I just need the size of one panel not all 4

      I had the same issue.. Then realised the door has a wheel and a little plastic clip under the wheel.. The clip goes under the rail and the wheel on top - i hooked the door on with the clip in the rail which raised it too high. 😅 Hopefully your issue wasn't more serious than mine

      @@paulbetts4684 yeh I think it’s manufacturing issue where it just too tight , use a stop block like timber strip . Hold it flat against the rails and use a hammer to just jam it in.

    Does the wood color of malmbed go together with the wood color of the pax cabinet? You're an expert, I'd like to hear it...

    • @PPFlatPack
      @PPFlatPack  Рік тому +2

      Sorry not sure if these two colours are identical if im you I would go to ikea before buy and check sometime there is different shades to the final finish even they look similar. If they different I would go with white. Consider colour of the walls carpet or flour colour and colour of existing furniture, size of the room etc.

    Your edit seems to have missed a huge part of the assembly, you put the rails on top and bottom then next segment there are the metal sides on too but no idea how you attached them? Please tell me as I need this part thanks
