This should be an official IKEA instructional video, an essential tool in place of the ridiculously inadequate diagrams in the flat pack. We took at least three serious wrong turns as a result of trying to follow the diagrams, wasting hours as a result. Everything became clear when watching this. Thank you.

Thank you for this. We got completely stumped at the point where you start to insert the panels - There was a "3x" instruction showing parts we couldn't find in the box. The instructions do not show that you pull the existing frames apart for this - I'd never have realised without your guide. Great video !!

Unfortunately that meant one side of the bottom track lost the slow closing mechanism which is on the frame now for new sliding door style (not like the separate slow closer on the old style pax sliding door systems0. My only question or concern is, in my case, I’m putting four wardrobe’s together and I am not sure if I should install the last two silver rails that go on the side (larger one for outer door on the left, shorter one for inner door on the right). I may just install the two smaller inner door ones at the two ends of the four wardrobe’s.

Thanks for these terrific videos! I have a question. At 16:50 you install the metal side panels to both ends of the wardrobe. My Pax will be visible on one side as you walk into a mud room. I plan to add a custom seating bench that will abut the wardrobe, but want to add an Ikea Forbratta cover panel to that exposed side of the unit you'll see to match other Ikea cabinets in the space. Would attaching the Ikea Forbattra cover panel interfere with the metal frame you attach to the side of the unit? Do I need to install those two metal side panels? I'm not sure if they are for aesthetics or serve a specific function. Thanks.

03:10 is a typical Ikea moment in perfect capture. They sell a Wardrobe for 800+€ and still dare to save some cents on the damn screws. I cant believe they dont know, but i think they got a special department for planned obsolescence and another for making the weird graphics in the Manuals that show a lot but not clearly whats supposed to be shown. Thanks for the Vid!

Hard to say could be so many things ( floors not in level, wardrobe frames not in 90 degree…) if you we talking gap up or down sometimes easiest fix is to put something small under the wardrobe depending where the gap is. Sorry hard to explain if I can’t see it.

    Great and helpful videos.
About to purchase a new PAX wardrobe.
I noticed that in the video you are building a newer version of the PAX or sliding door.
To me it looks like they made some changes that make it harder to mess something up during construction.
    Especially with the sliding rails.
I was wondering what you think about the old vs new PAX?

For some reason in my case the horizontal metal pieces that should clip inside the frame didn’t clip both sides, as if the frame was larger than it should be:/ any insight? Not sure if disassembling and reassembling would solve the issue

Thank you for this video. I have issue with inner door with this mechanism - it is sliding really hard, I need to use big force to move it. Outer door is moving smooth. Somebody got this issue? It looks like it's assembled in the right way. Inner door are with mirror panels, so it's pretty heavy.
