- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and New Brunswick Premier Susan Holt speak with reporters in Fredericton after their first bilateral meeting. Earlier this month, Premier Holt and her newly-elected Liberal government were officially sworn in after winning the October 21 provincial election. Responding to questions from reporters, the prime minister comments on the impact the incoming Trump administration in the United States might have on the Canadian economy. Trudeau and Premier Holt also face questions on the federal government’s commitment to create a national school food program. They comment as well on the federal carbon pricing system and Premier Holt’s plan to develop a provincial approach to addressing the impacts of climate change.
