This 2010s era of cartoons is well-known for the thin-line, big bean head, bean mouth, and round body (most derogatorily known as CalArts). This is because during the economic downturn of the 2010s, it was simpler, time-efficient, and money-saving to do this, which this style was heavily influenced by Anime. Man, it really makes me sad when people talk about how good the 2010’s were for cartoons without mentioning My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. It’s like there’s this unspoken rule in the cartoon community that mlp is to be shunned and ignored. Despite the fact that the show debuted in the same year as Adventure Time, ran for a full year later and concluded in the tail end of 2019, had a theatrically released movie back in 2017, had multiple successful spinoffs, and created one of the most iconic and longest lasting internet fandoms that exists. Jesus not even a nod to My little pony FIM making one of the most unique fanbases ever brought out of a show-a girls show being so well made and charming that grown men became the primary audience-including myself-and that ended in 2019 as well...seriously every thing ended in 2019 sadly i swear-i cried when MLP ended-it literally changed me into the more analytical and more open person i am today-and i wouldnt have given other modern cartoons a shot like gravity falls and steven universe if i hadnt watched it-MLP you could say was right next to Adventure Time and Regular Show in the 2010s starting the TV animation Renaissance...and hopefully Gen 5 of MLP is just as phenomenal
What happened in the late 2000s? I think the Great Recession had something to do with it
2:02 Toonami is still on you got your demon slayer, doctor stone, naruto, food wars SAO, MHA, JJBA its all there
Regular show and adventure time was my childhood
