Same, man… I don’t play more than 6-7 hours pro week anymore, just a little break from the reality… but it seems like no game makes me feel the same way they have…
Yeah its difficult sometimes... have you seen my last video before this one? I talked about gatekeeping our gaming experience, something that really helped me in the last month
I was sure that your channel is more popular, much more popular until i saw you have only 500 subscribers (i gave you that last one for milestone ;D ) Your video is very good, good cuts, editing, your voice and narration is nice to listen to. Wish you more views and viewers in future.
I wanted to share my experience which may be totally opposite. I've been play alone for like 2/3ish years and TO ME is an actual escape from reality, I live in a country without much (if any) future for it's middle class, did a low-key useless degree, haven't had an ambition or anything of some sort for more than 10 years and most likely have many mental problems go beyond gaming. "Connecting with people" is something that really never crosses my mind, I just played with others cause we just happened to have an interest in the same game. I've been working on how to get a better life but for the time being games have helped me a lot. In games my IRL self ceases to be and I can be and do something worthwhile, be it a good or bad. Gaming alone just leaves me head out for a couple hours. Also, I think games offer an experience that no other kind of media has been able to replicate at all, competitive gaming honestly just sucks ass, is clearly made for people to be addicted but that's a whole can of worms on its own tbh. I feel like you never explored stuff outside of a few titles, there's a whole world of games to try be it alone or with people. Stellaris and Monster Hunter have been a favorite of mine for a while now, variety is the spice of life they say or something silly like that.
You don't know how glad I am to have found your channel. One of your videos popped up in my recommendations a few weeks ago and I've since watch every one of your videos. I'm currently at that point you mentioned where I want to play games, I just can never seem to find the motivation to actually do it. I've slowly been starting to game a bit more in these past couple months but after watching your videos, they have actually helped me out a lot. I'm finally starting to actually enjoy gaming again. So, thank you, man. EDIT: Also...........................first. lol
I get this aswell. Back in middle and high-school you had time and friends who where on all the time. Now I have a full time job and no friends to play with. Now I play SP games and get them platinum. Still hoping to find new friends to play games with
Still in highschool, I enjoy both. Been playing fortnite with a buddy recently and have been having lots of fun even though it can be very competitive. But I also love playing alone, games like the last of us part 1 and 2 are my favourites of all time. Sometimes my friends get a little irritated that I leave the PlayStation party after only being there for a little while but I like to sit down and get immersed. Single player games are so great and I will never stop playing them.
Single Player Games are great, I still play with friends one day a week for a couple hours. The rest of the time I play on my own, as you said, "a break from reality", maybe 1 to 2 hours a day. great way to unwind. Still sometimes miss those younger days of playing MMO's with friends in my case. So your not alone in feeling this way.
