I just started a page on fb. I noticed while trying to make a reel on the buiness page, you are only given minimal options for music. No known artists basically. Where as my personal page you can look up any songs an it pops right up. Always a catch somewhere. I ended up discarding the reel as i wasnt sure i could use those minimal songs... an thats how i ended up on your video lol
On my search about Facebook limiting music choices on my Facebook Business pages. I found videos about how to use popular music. It's all about your category. One video said you could change to digital creator to be able to use popular music. I found my pages that already were digital creator can use all music, so can my community pages. I also found the entertainment website category will let you use all music. When I tried to change one of my business pages to digital creator, I found there is still a limit on that page. I wish I could say there is a hard and fast rule for this but it's Facebook after all, we know the rules change in their game.
Sorry to hear that, the best thing you can do is appeal the removal. Unfortunately this is a common issue and it's something that a lot of smaller artists have to deal with, but I've personally seen a lot of musicians get the situation figured out once they appealed! You can read more about that process here: facebook.com/help/194353905193770
Wait, you just read that they were allowing music revenue sharing on LONG FORM VIDEOS.. then you skip right to "have you ever made a reel and then...".... but the article you read was specifically saying it was for 60 SECONDS OR LONGER videos. Sounds like it may not be talking about reels.
@@LYFEMarketingAtlantaBut this article specifically refers to the InStream Ads program which is not the same as the Reels program. And with ads on reels we no longer get paid a percentage of the Ad revenue but for plays. This is relevant to regular videos . Not ads on reels.
I ve notice that you can jsut use the songs they recommend. I ve used songs that I searched for and I receive problems I haven´t been able to monetize reels because of this I think. I get lots of views
I'm crossposting reels with music from the Instagram library and they are still getting demonitized. Can you not use instagram/facebook provided songs either? Im a bit confused about that. I thought the songs they provide would be eligible for monetization.
That would make the most sense! But unfortunately that's not the case. The safest way to avoid getting your Facebook Reels demonetized is to use music from their approved library (although I've heard some people are STILL getting their reels demonetized even when they do that, in which case I would try to contact Facebook Support).
I have the same issue. It’s really poor system by Facebook. Their algo needs to be adjusted to be able to detect that we select a song from their own library while uploading & creating the reel. It’s also a pain to reach an actual human support person too. Best of luck, home you get it straightened out.
@@aleeluv8 Yeah totally agree. It's happened to like 10 videos at this point. I'm not sure it's worth the effort of trying to fix 😭 Even the ones at are monetized with 100k+ views are only making like $5
Does the 20% cut come before or after what is shown in your earnings? For example, if it shows I’ve made $100 from ads, is the full $100 mine? Or is it only $20
Do I have to pay for stream ads? I don’t understand it too much and I need to know because my account is growing and my only problem now is the music, they keep sending me alerts that is liscence music and I can’t get the reel monetized. Please help 😢
Hey! Sorry to hear that that's happening to you. Are you using music from their licensed catalog? Alternatively, you can use a licensing platform like Epidemic Sounds where you pay monthly for access to their library and you won't get in any copyright trouble as long as you connect your accounts!

Hi yah! It still shows that I don't follow community standards and I'm not able to monetize. I'm not sure what did I do wrong cause meta won't say specifically what did I do

I'm in the same boat there's only about 10 songs available to my business page, and all the songs are 💩.
But what about if you own that music. I got demonetized by using my own music that I have copyrights for. What do I do

Facebook Reels can be up to 90 seconds long!

Exactly. Reels won't get ads revenue if musique on them @@AllBrightColors

Should already be taken out….hopefully fingers 🤞🏾

So question.... If im not eligible as yet and i use music in my reels would this result as breaking the content monetisation policies???

But 60 seconds or longer is too long for reels. So how does that work?
Facebook Reels can currently be up to 90 seconds long!
Does this apply to instagram reels too?
At this time this applies to Facebook only. Instagram doesn't share Facebook's music library.
What is the effect for this monetized in facebook?
