What is skin undertone?

The color of the lowest layer of the skin signifies the ‘Skin Undertone’. So, one has to choose the cosmetics or makeup according to the skin undertone and not their outer skin color.
With the harsh sun rays, only your skin is affected not the undertone color. There are different types of skin tones that we will talk about in the next point.
3 Types of Skin Undertone -
Warm Skin Undertone - Yellow, peach and golden colors are commonly called warm skin undertone colors.
Cool Skin Undertone - Pink, red and blue are basically cool skin undertones.
Neutral - Olive and the mixture of the above-stated undertones are neutral skin undertones.
How to identify skin undertones?
The skin undertone can be found out in several ways! But for the right determination of the skin undertone one can follow the below-mentioned tricks. There are three types of skin undertones that we’ve stated above, which are, warm, cool and neutral. The colors have been defined in front of the skin undertones and those can be used to select the best makeup or cosmetic products. Let’s start with the different tricks to determine the different skin undertones.
If you can see the veins then you can easily find out the undertone. For instance, if the veins on your wrist are green or green-ish then you are warm-toned, i.e., the skin undertone is warm. If the vein color is blue and purple then you have a cool skin undertone. If you have neutral skin undertone then the veins would have none of the above colors or they are color-less.
Many people wear either gold or silver jewellery, and this is where you can find the skin undertone with what suits your skin the most. If the gold jewellery suits you the most then you have warm skin undertone and if the silver jewellery or platinum jewellery suits you then you have cool skin undertones. But if both of the jewellery suits you then you have neutral undertones.
If you love white color then you have a neutral skin undertone while the one with warm skin undertone looks good in off-white. Warm skin undertones look good in brown tones while the cool skin undertone looks superb in black.
If you use different hair colors and use different eyeshadows then it defines your skin undertones. Platinum or grey-tones suits cool undertones while mahogany and golden hair color suits on warm undertones.
