As someone who plays games a lot more than the average person this game is fine to just blast it doesn't need to be POE. Some of the criticisms are valid but a lot aren't.
I'm with you. It's amazing how the same people who pay $50+ for a 20-30 hour experience pay $70 for D4, play it for 100's of hours then complain about new content. How did we get to the point where some gamers think the developer is required to keep giving them new content.
@@cjen1959 cause its a live service game by their own studio... they literally ARE required to give us seasonal content.... why the game was sooooo god damn empty at the start Lol what do you mean?
So a couple things I found interesting. The new mythic crafting system means you can essentially get the mythic unique you want as long as you have a large number of runes to gamble with (if you don't get what you want you just scrap it to get your spark back and try again). This is a really clever way to keep runes relevant for casual players since we're less likely to see a ton of those items drop on our own, but very likely to have unneeded runes. Depending on the rune drop rate it may very well be worth the time to just reroll that mythic until you get your GA CDR Shaco, which should probably get you past T1 by itself. Additionally, for those of you worried about bricking your items, the patch notes indicate that Infernal Hordes can drop retempering scrolls, so no need to party up for the raid if that's not your jam. That said, I really hope people embrace the multiplayer aspect of the game. This game desperately needs a sense of community that exists beyond trading forums, and clans should be more than just an extra bit of verbiage under your name tag. Overall I like how the endgame concept is doubling down on "do activities to unlock other activities to unlock other activities." As someone who hates doing the same thing over and over again, tricking my brain into perceiving the grind as a reward for another grind is the best way to keep me engaged :P. As far as class changes go, I'm a sorc main and sorc got some significant changes in the latest patch notes. That said, enlightenment conjuration builds were absolutely ridiculous (gameplay was literally holding down all your buttons over an enemy and maxing your attack speed to get your cooldowns out there faster), so I agree that they were "fixed" rather than "nerfed," but I'll miss it a little bit lol.
The fact that you can get the retempering scrolls outside of the raid is a massive relief. Really makes it so that there's nothing locked behind group play other than cosmetics. Very good decision.
@@taks1993 Runes were locked to the xpac in D2 as well, but back then runewords were basically that game's version of mythic uniques. The only reason I had the necro in D3 was because I bought the pack that included the DLC during a sale. Wish I did the same with this game
They're not doing that though; The rewards are cosmetic gear and scrolls for buffs, that's it. You do not have to engage with it at all to minmax your character or complete the seasonal content.
WHY nerf anything in PVE??? dont do the Arrow Head route here bliz let me enjoy what power trip is left, this game is already less fun than your previous two games STOP nerfing
This dlc should be free with the horrible launch and the shit we had to deal with this game. Game is still horrible and passed on this dlc. Money grabbing company can’t even make a decent game anymore. POE2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know a game is great when people who don't like it can't stop watching content about it and telling everyone they won't be playing it in the comments section.
Because it is trash there's at least 5-10 rpg games in the past 15 years that beat it in every aspect without path of exile being on that list. It's a pathetic excuse for hillbillies to make themselves feel good about themselves while not realizing they are being siphoned of their money they can be spending on Busch light. It's crazy people are this delusional lmao
Look, what it comes down to is if you like D4, great! If you don't like it, also fine. But don't act like this content isn't something that should have been done close to release. Every time Blizzard makes a new game, they scrap existing systems only to rehash them later. Old fans of Diablo have wanted innovative and fun new ways to enjoy the game, whether through content grinds or events. D4 is drip-feeding that to players to keep them leashed for longer in hopes of continually selling battlepasses and cosmetics. I know D4 haters always love to point to POE - it's for good reason. It has the same seasonal rehashing but continually revamps or includes that content onto live service and it's IMPACTFUL.
I love that he has troll music in the background clearly showing how hype he is for this game to me. D4 mid. I’ll save my money and play PoE 2 for free in Nov thx
WOW raids were most of the reason I left that game. Now they add this garbage to Daiblo. If this is ever forced for power I am done this game too. The rest of the changes I really like. Big W from this patch
@@Mysterion_0_Rises Nope I had lots of friends in WoW. Problem was to get the best gear you were forced to raid. To raid you were locked into hours of play at a set time or hours of play with randoms (usually at least one toxic payer). If you are a single person who doesn't work and no life then sure raids are great. Solo or group play when you want is what I have loved about Diablo since the first one released. Also the fact that in Diablo all content can be done in minutes. I like being able to just grab any toon and play in diablo vs WoW having to fill roles of healer tank and dps or you fail. So as far as I am concerned if you want raids then go play WoW and leave that out of this game. Diablo has been designed from day one to be solo play being able to do everything in the game up until now.

Too many people screamed at Blizzard for having multiplayer required content in an online required game lol. They hate the fact that it's not a single-player offline game and then went out and bought it anyways. Those same people also seem to just want to play D3 with D4's graphics. I'd also argue that the main feature is a whole new campaign, map and story to experience, but hey. Doesn't seem like many people who play the game care at all about the story or lore.
Best part of playing ARPGs as a kid was learning everything and getting new things to play with. New abilities need to be added as you go to change it up. Extra stats get stale quick as it's the same gameplay. Literally playing something less than pacman at that point.
Kind of a semi related thought, but I hate how we learn everything about new games/expansions before they are even out now. There is barely any surprises in store here because they tell us everything in advance. That was a large part of the magic of playing games back in the 80s and 90s; you saw a back of the box blurb and that was it, everything in the game was a surprise, now you know exactly what you will be doing months before the game even comes out.
Until they add waaaaay more skills and items that don’t just add damage but actually change the way your skills work I’m not coming back like so lacking for builds creativity it’s going to another hard pass!
My concern is about the Mercenaries. I fear they'll be completely useless on their own past Normal difficulty. And that we'll be using them like in D3 only because of 1 or 2 somewhat useful passives, and they'll need an item to make then invincible otherwise they'd keep dying. I HOPE that's not the case at all and that they're actually useful and can contribute on their own.
Franchise died back in Diablo 3 when game wasn’t about cool gear anymore just pieces to attach to generic random gear with a color coding to make it feel special when it’s not. Then they repeated this process for Diablo 4 expecting they could get away with it if the art team carried it. It couldn’t carry this pile of shit 😂

@@Afura33 It had more than any other ARPG on release. This includes poe, d2, wolcen, titan's quest 1 and 2, d1, hellgate London. But mostly, it was promised to be a slow grind slow progress type of game because that's what the base wanted at the time, but nobody is honest enough to actually know what they're talking about. But then the base just rejected it on release and blizz was forced to keep reorienting the vision to fit the player base. They still had NMD's, overworld and a uber and planned the endgame to be 50++ but you probably forgot that d2 just had chaos sanc + cows, and poe was struggling hard on release and had no endgame , titan's had a grindy last few acts and hellgate too. Wolcen didn't even have town building on release, you finished the game and that was it, you just grinded a procedural map system.
They were well within the industry norms, but people just forget because they compare to other well advanced products because they frankly don't know what they're doing
Looks great big Diablo 4 fans in this house
Im pretty surprised, looks good to me
I am so glad you are there doing all the sum for everyone to read.
How about a new mechanic called you can replay the campaign on harder difficulties?
Not sure how many want that. There was a huge thing to get rid of forcing replaying the campaign on new characters. They may not really feel it worth the resources to do.
@@krylesangerbeaver you're right, they may not feel it's worth the resources. It's not part of the seasons-first focus of the game
@@n1337p yup, they continued the story since everyone has to do that part. They also added in a lot of other things. They probably didn't want to spend time on a mechanic that 12 people would want.
I still wish Blizzard would do it. Regardless, I'll still buy the expansion and enjoy it, even if it only gets one playthrough.
thanks for your video DM
Thanks for the breakdown.
Had played through S5 just to understand what's going on in terms of changes (last time I played was during S1 and Pre-S1), and I'm actually looking forward for the new expension to be released.
It should be more fun than the initial release of the game, it has matured for sure (albeit still disappointing).
Just pay us more money and we will make the game better. - blizzard
💯
are there are still stash space limits in this game ?
Does anyone know what will be the Future of all the neathiron i farmed on eternal realm? Can i transform it to obducite 1:9 or will it be transformed 1:1. Got 60k Iron so Its kind of important to me if I should transform it before or after Patch/addon release.
"You just get better drops more gold and experience on higher Torment levels so its not required." People have lost their minds because yes it fucking is required or else your not getting the most out of the game.
As one of the Dad’s with kids that only get 8-10 hours a week to play, I am have been enjoying things! Very sad for Sorc players, but excited that season 6 will be the season of the companions.
my condolences
Sorcs will be fine haha good chance they'll still be second strongest after spiritborn
Nah they gutted lightning spear, their strongest build. Not even playable after the winterglass change @Johnnybsknees
idk, I was kinda hyped but I'm also over the game a little. And I feel like they ruined the launch so bad they should have at least given us the new character for free instead of making it a paid DLC. I'm sorry, I am not buying a new character. The only reason I had the necro in D3 was because I bought the pack that included the DLC during a sale. Wish I did the same with this game
Still no bag size increase...lovely
You don’t play the game anyway
Until they rewrite the whole game that's not happening
Not once have I said "oh darn I wish I had more room to carry more useless junk."

I'm waiting for the big Diablo streamer co-op raid next week... what time? 😉
that xp bonus is massive
triubutes look dope too
forcing people to be social. this is a fantastic direction!
They're not doing that though; The rewards are cosmetic gear and scrolls for buffs, that's it. You do not have to engage with it at all to minmax your character or complete the seasonal content.
they should, have guilds and social aspects to the game and make it fun playing with people instead of a empty wasteland lol
this aint fallout
WHY nerf anything in PVE??? dont do the Arrow Head route here bliz let me enjoy what power trip is left, this game is already less fun than your previous two games STOP nerfing
Is that Final Fantasy music in the background?
This dlc should be free with the horrible launch and the shit we had to deal with this game. Game is still horrible and passed on this dlc. Money grabbing company can’t even make a decent game anymore. POE2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know a game is great when people who don't like it can't stop watching content about it and telling everyone they won't be playing it in the comments section.
lol fr, like move on :D
people are just trying to help you, diablo trash is worse than 20 year old arpg's
Ikr D4 is going in a much much better direction than AC Woke Shadows and Ghost of Woke Yotei. They should go complain bout those soon to be DoA games.
It's crazy people are this delusional lmao
its funny to see people being blind while being milked with a dog game. But keep getting milked, don't worry, its a GREAT game
Play hardcore or softcore? I usually only play hc but not sure about raids...
Just make tempering like 3 generic generally useful choices or make it infinite already. Now you might brick less…but it will feel giga bad if you do.
Sounds to me like you have no friends 😂 raids are and were some of the best things about WoW
It looks so good. I’m so hyped! Just 5 more days!

Communication for what ?? Why would you need to communicate if your not in the same wing of a dungeon what's the point ?
i assume it it would be akin to Destiny's raids were even though you are in a separate area you have to communicate which symbols and enemies to hit but, I really don't expect that from Blizzard tbh. It will be much more watered down than that.
@@sethwood1676 that makes sense.. or step on this switch to open my door. God speed to all who enjoy d4 wish you the best
@@bofygaming9672 tbh I don’t even think it’ll be that complex considering current systems so far but, we will see on launch of the expac. I could be very surprised by the complexity but, I’m not really holding my breath. I was just giving the example of destiny cause that the raids I remember most where you have to coordinate within separate realms or rooms. I’ll still be blasting for a couple weeks to a month till I get all of the classes geared and builds I like.
I like how they didn't mention how theygutted the most popular build hoping people wouldn't notice. Bye bye lighting spear
I suspect there will be a campaign with the new expansion. I wonder if you can skip the reg campaign while playing the expansion campaign.
Yes you can
It looks cool and all but 70$ canadian for bootleg monk. Spent enough on blizzard
its seens good i just gonna wait cause in games like these you never really know till people actually review it, did they do anything to increase the inventory for the game? (more of a question for people that play since i'm still watching the video)
which runes did they remove?
So the raids are useless for 90% of the player base unless they add a party finder. Thats one way to highlight an issue in an "mmo lite"
they did add a group finder it was in PTR but, It wasn't really used because the people that play are playing the same way they have been which is without the group finder.
nerf runes = use gems lmao
I am still salty that mercenaries are paywalled.
So how much will the cow level cost me as well?
bro why does this have to come out at the same date and time as sparking zero...
Actually really liked the changes.
im sure all this new features sound awesome but when we get there will be all boring af.....like for every season
Will they give us more tab stash?

Sooooo…D4 made an expansion where there main feature is simply a way to get cosmetics??…sounds less like an expansion and more like a patch..GG Blizz
Their main feature is the campaign lol
Still not gonna support yearly expansion in an ARPG, especially not after they sold me such a bad initial product.
If you're broke just say so bro 😂
I wanted to do a steath build
Seems like the citadel is not console couch co-op friendly?
Not a fan of the having to be in a group for the raid. All the other stuff is ok

take a shot every time he says "basically"
Then what are we playing? Is this actually Dorkablo 4?! 😮
