- me doing the last mission of ace combat assault horizon. while as i have said i didnt like the game to much at first but this was worth the 60$ in my opinion

yeah... i remember 04 shattered skies, i loved how the final bosses were challenging, instead of indestructible.
They definitely did a good job with illustrating the chaotic nature of this whole mess with the comms.

I replayed this mission many times, I successfully defeated Markov about 3 times and failed at least 10 times trying to evade all those missles
Despite the criticism of this game, I really enjoyed the more grounded approach. Then again, I started at AC6 so I can’t say I’m a purist.
Also Belka did nothing wrong
Best Final stage music Ever. I Replayed this so many times just to listen to this.
Also one of the best intros to a video game mission ever.

I love this game soundtrack..
The third one was in the Tu-160 that you shoot down over Moscow before engaging Markov. Guts even comments that the cruise missile in the payload bay looks like a Trinity missile.
back when I played this, I did lose a few times. Mainly 'cause I "allowed" one of the TU-160's to reach the SAMs
the hard part is trying to evade Markov's missiles when youre in DFM mode. A trick i learned is when he fires them, press Y or Triangle to cancle DFM mode and then imediately activate it again. The missiles will then stop seeking you. If it didn't work the first try, do it again.

Played that game and completed in all difficulty modes. Using the keyboard wasn't that easy, but still this game gives me chill! I love it

No this is Krista Yoslsv. Deja Vu is played during the briefing where we meet Markov.
i did after a while and every time id counter someone else would get on me.i wish they implemented the wingman feature like in 6 so you can tell guts to cover you and take the guys out.
In that case, try shooting down escorts if possible first before you go and attack the bombers. But if another jet goes DFM mode on you immediately counterattack and take him down as soon as possible then continue your attack on the bomber
Thank you for understanding. I died so many time because he was immortal and i couldn't shake all of his missiles
if you are fast enough you can kill one of them (use 4 or 6 aam right after its flares fade out)
i think it is only the second one intended to crash
even if you do you hear on the radio that another has crashed

i just beat this guy on ace mode and it was the hardest shit iv ever done untill i found out what i was doing wrong....... when u have markov ingaged in DSM watch for when he shoots his back bombs then jump out of DSM and reengage it it knocks the lock of u instantly keep doing that till the end of the fight and u got him

if its hard to land in this game,try landing in FSX or Over-G.Lockon also.And land on an Aircraft Carrier.its harder than fighting markov on ace difficulty.

i never figured out how to install anything so i either use the A-10 or the MiG-29.

There is HUGE difference between "realism and logic" and fighting immortal enemies from one scripted event to the next. It's arcade and not sim, no question about that, but this was like being forced to follow a dude in an egoshooter, when you now, that he can't die till the right scripted event and cutscene starts... thats okay for 10 seconds, but not all these minutes and not the whole final mission.
Does anyone know what is the purpose of the red 'tracers' in those missiles?

dude i raged when i would be tailing a bomber,about to take it out,but then some jet would be like,"No screw you i kill you first"then he would be tailing me and id have to get rid of him

For me, this game was so much fun and I love the soundtrack but the DFM, scripted fights and some of the writing did get annoying. The mechanics feom Ace Combat 7, some of the mechanics in assault horizon and my favorite mechanic in AC6, mid battle field refueling, would be awesome.

i wasn't to satisfied with the game at first as well ... but at a certain turning point close to the end where the story heated up i can say i was hooked ... wonderful game, love it!

Honestly, I feel like Markov should've had a CFA-44.
its one of the most fun ACs , even if the story is much to often used,its still really really fun to play, expecilly because of the new syetem.

mission is pissing me off. I don't understand how he didn't simply kill oyu with those missiles while you were in dogfight mode behind him. They normally just double back and auto kill me so I have to cancel DFM and get it back but then he just fires them again. It is a rare chance that I actually activate the event and get to move to the next one. I have initiated DFM on this guy 28 times, countered him 7 times, and shot him with over 60 missiles in one go. That should be it. No scripted shit.
