Every time I see an eyeswap, it confirms for me that I don't think I could ever do an eyeswap. I have extremely weak hands, and you have to go beast mode to get the new eyes in! I was very impressed by how easily you made it happen. The Emily Rose outfits look nice! I've never seen Frozen stuff, but it seems like good quality for the price. Also, I totally think of Nicki as having lots of red lowlights in her hair, so I don't think you were wrong. Her hair is RED red, but it's auburn, to me.

The quality is really impressive for $10 outfits - but the Anna outift is way more beautiful. There’s more to it and the colors pop more than the blue on blue on blue for Elsa.
Nikki’s hair IS red right? So many people told me to use a redhead for Anna when I used her last time, and I was like whaaaaa? It’s cataloged as medium brown. (But I see red / auburn too!)

@@nettiezdolls6742 in the 6 pack, there were 2 different types of stands - so bizarre! Half of them are slightly thicker and don’t have the pads underneath. I hope they work perfectly for you!

@@americangirlfilms you seem like you could tolly handle an eye swap! But it’s really stressful at first because your brain tells you to be careful you don’t ruin anything - but the parts are all durable.
And you must get them the outfits! They’re so cheap but great quality. The 2 pack is currently low stock but you can buy the Anna outfit (the superior of the 2) on its own.

I didn’t realize the frozen outfits were on Amazon Canada, but wow, they’re almost triple the price. Unfortunately after uploading the vid, I was made aware of reviews showing the Anna outift stains, so I hope everyone who purchased because of my video sees my community post-it can’t be a total coincidence they went from full stock before I uploaded, to low stock the next day to sold out the day after. I’ll feel bad if anyone’s doll gets ruined because they watched this 🥴

A big thank you I never saw anyone place a eye in the doll. I wonder if a hot air dryer would help for the just the touch up heat? And the eye placement. I wonder if you could do that with doll with crooked eyes. She looks so pretty! Now to find where to get some eyes for the dolls. Just a great video!

I think a hair dryer could melt the eyes or the lashes, not sure. I’m also bald as a dolphin, so I don’t have a blow dryer 🤣
@@DisBlaine Good point, my blow dryers don't get that warm but it was just an idea to put the hot air into the head from the neck. So I won't try that then. And no I have never searched how to change out the eyes but I would like to straighten out a few. Also pain/ add a few eyelashes to some Thank you.
What's up, Blaine! Thank you for this tutorial! The one and only time I've ever tried to swap eyes it was an epic fail and I ended up having to send my Bitty Baby into the doll hospital. I had only read step by step articles at that point because I couldn't stand any of the Tubers in the tutorials that were up at the time lol so I was hoping you or AG Takes Over would post a how-to eventually. I was also using off brand eyes that broke as I was trying to get them back in her head, so maybe I should try with real AG eyes
Oh noooo Alix! I made this “tutorial” sort of assuming anyone who sees it will have seen a proper one. This was probably garbage if you were actually trying to learn how to do it.
But eeeeks I wonder what tutorials you couldn’t watch before. I’ve seen quite a few, but they were usually people who didn’t get in front of the camera (remember the days when most collectors were behind the camera? That seems like so much work!)
How much did the hospital charge to pop in the eyes? I bought a few sets of off brand eyes. I got them in but they didn’t look right even tho they were the same size. I won’t fall for that again 😭
I would suggest trying it again. You just have to not be afraid to ruin anything.
@DisBlaine I actually feel sooo much more confident after seeing you do it so I'm just gonna give credit where it's due lolol and I'm not sure if I was just having one of those days, of if all of the tutorials I was watching were too asmr for me, but yeah, I remember just being like 😳😳 and found the step by step on the same website that successfully walked me through limb restring, I geuss you win some, you lose some, right? Lmfaooo
And it was funny actually, I had sent her in for new eyes and a new body, I wanted to keep the heads though, her old eye's we're broken and cloudy from when I was a kid. They called me and said they didn't have any of the gray/green eyes in stock and asked if I wanted a new head with the gray/green eyes or they could give her blue eyes, a little back story for that doll, she was like my tiny baby diva whom I had created such an elaborate and over the top back story for, and her name is Jenny, she had a little crush named Johnny who was obsessed with her until a little girl started at their preschool named Judy who had blue eyes, so in the story Jenny hated blue eyes, so when they called and said it was the only option I was like she's gonna be soooo pissed 😂😂😂 so I paid $45 for the complete works for the bitty baby, they refunded me $5 because they didn't have the parts, odd, and then they refunded me all of it, took it back out 2 days later, refunded me again, took it out again, and then Jenny showed up a week later, new blue eyes that were jarring, they kinda reminded me of Logan's bad eyes at first but we've adjusted, and she still has her og body. So I was kinda pissed, her cloth is super stained from years of being played with as a kid, and her limbs are kinda graying and knicked up, but then the next day they refunded me again, and I was like so help me God if they take it back out, and they didn't, so it was technically free, and a long run around of bank charges and not getting exactly what I wanted, but at least she had eyes lmfao
Hi Blaine, great video! I love the hospital gown and night cap. So cute! 😊 Would bending a slight curve into the bobby pin make it easier to feed the string? Have you ever used a seam ripper to cut the thread on the neck seam? I find it easier to snip that stitch that way.

I’ve never heard of a stitch cutter lol, but that’s the easy part for me. Does it help with the cable tie?
@DisBlaine I wouldn't recommend a seam ripper for cutting a zip tie that holds a head on, they're very tight, with a lot of tension. I do use it to slice off the excess zip tie when I reattach the heads with zip ties. What I use to cut the zip tie is a small pair of scissors from a nail care kit. I think a pair of cuticle scissors would work too. They should be small enough to maneuver under the zip tie without accidentally cutting or puncturing the fabric.

American Girl dolls have a slightly “bigger” right hand. That hand is splayed a bit more than the left. PC dolls have even bigger hands. You can push the fingers closer together to get a tight sleeve on.

You’re very brave doing an eye swap on camera and in almost 1 take. I’ve never tried to do an eye swap, but it dies t look fun at all. I have damaged my thumb joint in both hands, so you pushing the eyes in and out, made me cringe.
