Another great killer drone and it's lite I want your truck Kev - just love Amanda I think I'll give it a miss - many thanks for sharing the fun of flying
lol When you say you’re gonna give it a miss, does that mean you don’t think you’ll be buying one? Hahaha. Ford keeps calling me about the truck wanting to buy it back. I keep telling them it ain’t for sale. Maybe if we keep talking about it on videos they’ll call us to review a new truck. Hahaha
lol good deal. Thanks for watching and for the support. I guess the main reason we don’t compare them to DJI is they don’t have a real shot but it’s definitely fun to try new drones. God bless!!!

You could review anything, and I would still watch buddy. Especially when you throw a rock up to test the wind 😂 Poor Jim starting off as Amanda. He must be so confused😅👍👍
Hahaha. Yea that rock came out of nowhere. I could a sworn it was a weed. lol. I may have opened up Pandora’s box with the name change live on camera there. Maybe I should’ve edited that part out. Lol
One thing I do have to say about this drone is that it's made to take a beating! You had it right with the kill the drone button, you drop that thing in mid air and I don't know how much it'll fly after. But it was a fun review to watch
Hahaha. You always have hilarious comments here, man. The funny part is I edited out a part that was probably pretty important regarding the kill switch. I did the kill switch twice but the first time the camera was moved and it didn’t catch it so I had to redo it. When I went to do it again, that’s when the right front motor wouldn’t turn. I thought I broke it and the test was over but it started turning and it flew fine. I’m sure it wouldn’t take too many of those drops though to destroy it. lol. Maybe that’s why they have the 5 meter height limit. Haha
@@WeretheRoberts Kevin, good to hear from you… All good here, can’t wait to retire😂 Hope all is well on your side. Wishing you and yours the very best for the upcoming!
Wi-Fi beginner drones are a scary reminder for me. My first drone was a WiFi drone that was given to me by my daughter for my birthday years ago and I took it to a park and it flew away. Too much wifi interference. I began getting skeptical about flying drones until I looked into DJI drones and did some research. Now I own a couple of DJI drones and never looked back at WiFi drones, not to say that they are all bad for beginners but if you can't afford a great quality gps drone then WiFi drones are still good drones to learn to fly. Thanks for sharing this review Kevin and God bless.
Same here, got a cheap one for Christmas 2023 from my family, done the exact same thing on Boxing day, took off less than 3 minutes into a flight, A FLY AWAY for me! Spent 6 hours that day and 6 hours the following day trying to find it by doing a VERY 'zig-zag' form of search of the field and surrounding fields (covered 12 miles) Put a post on my local Facebook village group and a villagers dog found it on a walk. I never trusted it again, by March 2024 I got a second-hand DJI Mini 2 from a reputable camera dealer in the UK, only had 3 charge cycles, came in the original packaging, everything in the box (cables, spare props, screwdriver) and a 6 month guarantee from them for £239! I have never looked back!
lol that’s a pretty crazy experience. Especially on the first flight. Booooo! Haha. That’s why I mentioned flying it inside so it wouldn’t fly away. Maybe I should’ve mentioned that part. Hahaha.
Hahaha. Thanks for watching as always and for the support. I’m glad we can edit these videos to make it seem like there’s some sort of order here. We really have no idea what we’re doing. Hahaha. Oh we use the Rode Wireless mics to record audio. The. We sync up the audio and video in post using Wondershare Filmora to edit.
@@PerspectivesAerial the set we got has 2 mics and 1 receiver. The audio is stored on the mic itself so I connect the mic directly to the computer and save the files. Easy stuff. It says “corrupt files” and I don’t know what caused it but both times it’s happened, I’ve had to delete all the audio on the mic and it worked again. Good job, buddy. I think you're actually having fun with your retirement. Good for you, pal. I've had some serious operations lately with one more to come this month. And I've reached the Good old age of 77 years old. I'm fine, so no big deal. Just three weeks in the hospital really was not good for me. But I'm out, and my wife's cooking has got me back to feeling much better. Life is good and goes by really faster than we would like. I am still enjoying your adventures. Do yourself a gopro review maybe they will start sending you new gopro gear. I have 3 of them now, the 9,12, and 13. The 12 and 13 are pretty much the same. But they changed the batteries. So the older ones don't work on the 13. Still, because it was my birthday, I bought myself a 13 just for the fun of learning something new. What do you do with all the stuff sent to you? Do you still remember my email address?
I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better and I know for a fact the home cooking helps heal quicker for sure. Haha. Hopefully you can avoid the hospital for the next while and enjoy the good life for a bit, eh? Your comment on the GoPro reviews is intriguing. I’ve been mentioning the ford f350 repeatedly waiting on ford to contact me but that hasn’t happened yet. Hahaha. Love you, man!
I think that this being a beginner and the way it performed it might discourage some. It is good you have an opportunity to test these drones so people can see drone options. I think this drone is over priced. You are so right about DJI drones and their find me mode sound, not very loud.
Oh yea definitely, Fred. I agree 100% it could discourage some if there was a fly away or some bad experience like that. I know I can attest first hand on that. lol. In all honesty, DJI is the only drones I’ve flown with full confidence. I know Autel is close but I’ve not flown any of them yet.
I think even Santa would refuse to deliver that Kevin lol, you must been a naughty boy I’d rather fly a piece coal 😂fun to watch though, have a great Festive season, regards
Hahahaha. That’s hilarious! But can you do flips with coal? Ok I guess you can, but if coal falls to the ground like this did, the coal would be damaged. Hahaha

If I was a going to get a drone for someone that asked for one that had never had one before, I would always pay just that little bit more and get the DJI 4k (mini 2) at least you know it would be stable, have GPS, RTH and 4k like it's says on the box, I would debate whether these 'cheap' ones actually are 4k sensors.
That’s a great point and a way better option I’d say. A lot of times a beginner drone like this could malfunction and cause a fly away or other problems which could discourage a new flyer. I can attest to that first hand but sometimes I forget how nervous that made me to fly after it happened. The 4k is a perfect beginner drone because it’s so dependable. Great point, brother.
Hey, Richard. I have seen several newer videos come out recently about the rocket and it’s still a problem from what I’ve seen. There’s even people with the newest updates installed with the same problem, but then there’s also those who haven’t had an issue. I guess it’s luck of the draw?
@WeretheRoberts well appreciate the come back. I really don't figure that the van on the rocket didn't do it. But my body it shot straight up. Weird. I'm liking videos you do bugs an all take care family. Merry Christmas.
Hahaha oh come on man. You know you want one. At least it was fun to fly, right? I think I could have some fun with it and it’s cool it wouldn’t matter too much if it got lost in the woods. I mean, I wouldn’t go throwing rocks and sticks at it to get it out of a tree like I did with the other $40 drone. Hahaha
I learned on wifi drones but don't fly them anymore. Got tired of being disconnected. Looking back I think some of the drones I started with are poor beginner drones. If a seasoned operator has trouble with them then a beginner will just be frustrated.
You’re not the first to remind me of that, man and it’s a great point. I remember when I first started flying these Wi-Fi type drones, I had a fly away and became really nervous every time I flew. It sort of takes the fun away when you don’t know what the drone is gonna do from day to day, eh?
lol great point. I think you drone may be a better distinction than beginner drone. A lot of people have said a drone like this could discourage a beginner and I have to agree. I had that fly away with my first drone (EXO Ranger) and developed a real nervous approach to that drone after. I do think the perfect beginner drone would have to the the DJI mini 2. Or even the 4 pro but that’s expensive for a beginner.
@@WeretheRoberts Yeah, my first beginner drone was a Contixo 22, with a 1-axis gimbal, no GPS, and so unstable that I had to constantly adjust the sticks, or it would just fly away. This was my first flight up at the high school during Christmas vacation in 2019. The only good thing about it was that it was big enough to spot in the air, but when it got around a hundred yards away, I lost video, and I couldn't tell which way it was facing. It ended with a pretty spectacular crash into the top of a pine tree, tumbling all the way to a soft landing in pine needles on the ground. Fortunately, Find My Drone worked, so I found it. When I got my first DJI Mavic Mini, I couldn't believe how stable it was, just hovering in place when I let go of the sticks! ua-cam.com/video/r7JBekfBuho/v-deo.html
I dd not think there is anything like a beginner drone. Just a drone for your needs. My first drone was a Phantom 4 Pro. I bought several years ago. But with the size and noise of the Phantom 4 Pro, I wanted a "beginner drone". And I have the DJI Mini 4 K fly more combo pack arriving tomorrow. Just buy what you want and need. I would not buy something or not buy just because it is marketed as a beginner drone. Any good drone like a DJI is easy and safe to fly for a beginner or expert.
Awesome! You chose wisely with the phantom and the mini 4k drones. Both are amazing in my book. The word beginner could definitely be misleading sometimes, eh? Lol
Uhhhh....It's probably just me wondering this, but WHY would you need a button to actually STOP the propellers, and allow your drone to simply just fall out of the sky? Seems like a quick fast and in a hurry way to destroy your beginner drone.
I’d say your bet is safe. lol. I didn’t include any photos on the vjdeo because I sort of forgot but I’ve taken a few since and it seems a bit pixilated when you zoom in a little bit.
Dear Kevin, Your onions; although honest, still sting the eyes. My goodness!!, what a scary beasty you have there. Besides all the exterior antics, you also bemused about it's interior flyability?. Ummm, is there some way I could turn off my air 2 gps, and maybe fly it inside too??. I am underneath a flight path and around 0.5km from it's centrelion (Like a centi pede, only far more voracious). Normally if I fire up my geriatric beast and get a satellite, it tells me it's not allowed to fly. Thankfully it tests for nearby nono's before takeoff. Personally I think mine should test for me; because if I'm trying to be the pilot; it should definitely not take off!!.
Hahahaha. I hear what you’re saying. I think most of our drones shouldn’t take off once they realize I’m the pilot. lol. So, my logic of flying this one inside may not make sense but let me clarify. I was thinking this would be a great inside drone because then there would be less of a chance of a fly away and the wind wouldn’t affect it so much. lol. That is unless you have a prankster like Kristi who would open a window and turn on a leaf blower inside. I can see her doing that and laughing when the drone finds the window and makes its exit never to be seen again. Hmmmm. That could be a funny video. Haha
That drone is not worthy of being called a beginner drone. I would get more out of flyin a rubber band wind up toy airplane made out of match sticks. (Wow! That was a harsh comment that you’ll probably delete!) Seriously though, I give this “beginner” drone 5 thumbs down. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 As for you brother, you always get 5 thumbs up! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hahahaha. Come on man, you can’t tell me you don’t like the kill switch option. I think you should make an airplane out of match sticks and we can compare this to that when we meet up next spring. Hahaha. I do appreciate the 5 thumbs up for my comedic relief and idiocy. You know I do that for you guys, right? I’m not really that inept. Ok maybe I am, but it’s still for you guys. Hahaha
I guess for $100.. but honestly save another $100 and get a DJI nano. its twice the price but 5 times better plus you can fly wifi...... for now..... but expand in the future with a controller and even FPV with goggles. Cheap Drone, dash cam, and security cam companies need to up there game in the camera department if they want to get a hit. I mean a good, true 1080p cam should be dirt cheap these days.... I have no idea why it looks like they still use 480p from 2 decades ago. Must have warehouses full of them that need to be used up or something. Dash cams are even worse....
lol that’s a great point, buddy. I think with the discounts they offered the drone would be around $60 so I would be willing to buy it just for the fun of it but you’re absolutely right about coming off another $100 for a DJI. I would even come off a couple hundred more and go with the mini 4k as a beginner, eh?
Ah ... so hundred dollars drone ... but kind of uncomfortable flight ... maybe not fly much ... as opposed to something like the DJI Mini 4K or older Mini 2 drones that have more control and sophistication ... yes a bit more money ... but then maybe longer and more fun use in more places! Anyway fun to see you play around and get attention from all ye faithful ... ua-cam.com/video/Gw2j8LxEIgw/v-deo.html
Oh I totally agree. The Mini 4K would make a much better beginner drone and I’d recommend that above this one any day for someone who doesn’t know anything about drones yet. A few people mentioned a beginner drone like this could discourage someone as it’s not as dependable as a DJI and I’d say that’s true, eh? Thanks for watching as always, buddy. God bless you guys!

Seems like a quick fast and in a hurry way to destroy your beginner drone.
lol good question. It didn’t hurt it too bad though, eh? Maybe that’s why they have the 5 meter height limit. Haha
LOL is it 2016 again?🤣🤣
lol Maybe, I’m just glad it’s not 2020. Hahaha.
I'll lay bets on it, that it's not true 4k footage!
I’d say your bet is safe. lol. I didn’t include any photos on the vjdeo because I sort of forgot but I’ve taken a few since and it seems a bit pixilated when you zoom in a little bit.
Dear Kevin,
Your onions; although honest, still sting the eyes.
Haha
Another drone that should be sold at Walmart for 20 dollars 😮
lol with the discount on here it’s pretty close to $20 on Amazon. Haha. I agree though for sure.
Hahaha
@ No! You are not at all inept!! You couldn’t have worked where you worked till retirement if you had been anywhere close to ineptness! 💜

I.meta drone. It was cheap. It was a beginner drone. Some day it will be a real, big boy drone. I'll wait.
Hahaha. I meta you did. Ima thinking that’s a tail but you ain’t no cat.
Cheap drone for kids...😊 No gimbal!? Nah no need Amanda
Hahahaha. I understand that for sure, brother. What about Jim? Lol
@@WeretheRoberts Mmmm.. i did not met Jim yet... 🫣🤔 I will look for him. ☺️
Hahaha. Jim is Amanda. For some reason I changed his name mid video. Yes, another thing Kevin screwed up. Lol
ngl tired of installing shady chinese apps on my phone for stuff like this.
lol I hear that. I have a 64gb iPhone 11 and am constantly having to delete stuff to not run out of room.
