How can a 50 years old record can still breathe a fresh air on cinema experience? I went from tears in my eyes to huge smile on my face. Thank you for this excellent production.
I saw this show the opening weekend with my 2 younger sons (10 and 5) and they thought it was best show they have ever seen. It was incredible and I would go back to the planetarium exclusively to see this show again. I knew it would be great, but it far exceeded anything that I could imagine. It is the entire album played through start to finish with unreal audio and 360° visuals. The only thing that i would warn is that if you get motion sickness, be prepared for that. The show makes you feel like you are flying through space. Weeks after we have been there, my sons still talk about how neat it was and they want to go see it again already.
Just saw it yesterday at Adler Planetarium in Chicago. Utterly mind blowing! One of my TOP experiences I’ve sat through in the 39 years of my life! I’ll be doing this again a few times before they’re no longer showing it!
When I was 18 I'd listen to this album absolutely stoned: "You are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today. And then one day you find ten years have got behind you, no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun". That was totally me. I'd listen & wonder what I'd be doing when I was 50, where I'd be, if I'd even still be around. Well, now I'm 50 (like this album) and I just went to see the planetarium show. Amazing! And thinking of myself aged 18 imagining myself aged 50...
Twenty year old Donna listening to this on wls radio, shtoned, paranoid… My tribe had all left for college and I was still in my wee bedroom. This show is 🌜✨⚡️🔥🌗🌖🌑💫🌟🌛

Saw it about 2 weeks ago... MINDBLOWING! Literally cried and felt chills with the amazing visuals and the music of my favorite album! I'm looking forward to return soon!
Just got tickets to this in St. Petersburg FL on feb 7th. I’m pumped. The album is eight years older than me, but my favorite thing I’ve done was in my 20’s twenty two years ago when a student at Texas was to get stoned as a pyramid wall and drive the hill country outside of Austin at midnight until the album ended. It’s an experience that’s incredible that I’m unsure if anyone else has ever done. I’d have to think so, but if you’re ever in the area, do the midnight hill country experience.
Just saw the show with friends tonight. Incredible visuals to the DSOTM album...absolutely loved it. Closest feeling to being in space (including the motion sickness at times). Tip: If you're a Chicago/IL resident, see it Wed night. Planetarium fees are free for IL residents on Wed, but you'll still need to pay for the show. It's a must see!
Saw this last month in the Glasgow Science Centre Planetarium after taking some mushrooms. Genuinely never felt such elation. I burst out crying during The Great in the Sky. Take me back.
This was friggen epic. As a space nerd and a music nerd.... I loved every second!! Time to drag everyone I know to this show! Thank you pink Floyd, we know what vinyl is on high repeat today
The Bishop Planetarium in Bradenton FL, and Now Housing a Museum of Science and Industry played Midnight Shows of Floyd's Dark Side/ Moon and also, The Wall in the 80s; to the Sights of an Amazing Laser Light Show 😎 ✌️ FLOYDIAN FANS..SHINE ON 💎 ✨️🌙
Just came out from seeing this, it was one of the most mind blowing things I've ever watched! I was completely drawn in, tears streaming down my eyes, the whole thing! The sound is amazing, it's very similar to the Atmos mix of the album. Please see it if you can!
I took my 8 y.o. grandson on 4/2/23 for 3:15 pm show. Got there at 3:01 due to an accident on the expressway and the main doors were locked. Made it to accessible entrance and a young man let us in. An amazing show 🪐🎵🎶🌚
I just saw this last night and was left Speechless except the words, on point with a smile ear to ear. Please tell me you guys will be coming back for the fringe next year cause this something worth seeing, The accuracy the visuals look is so on point it gave me HPPD, the whole time just giggling to myself like yup, seen that before, especially going through a wormhole that was just something else, and home, home again during time and looking at the earth was just perfect. 10/10 would recommend if you cant take psychedelics this is just it in a highly accurate visual.
Saw this last night at the Fayetteville State University Planetarium in North Carolina (of all places ??) and it was simply and profoundly incredible. If it weren't an hour and a half drive, I believe I would see it every Friday night until it closes. What joy!
I definitely need to get to Chi to see this! Preview makes it look trippy and awesome even stone cold sober! Can’t imagine seeing this with uncle Cid back in the day!
I was there in Chicago last Friday . Pure awesomness delight. The images complementing the whole album. Best sound. Amazing dome projection quality. I will be 50 in september. Surely something to remember forever…. Don‘t miss it!!!! Cheers!
Finally just went and saw Laser Floyd tonight at the Museum of Science planetarium in Boston. I've been saying since high school I wanted to go see it (15+ years now lol) and finally did. It was pretty wild, I certainly enjoyed it. They've been doing Floyd laser shows there for 40 years. They have some other laser shows too, I may eventually have to check em out. They're honoring the 50th anniversary of the Dark Side album, and also for an encore after the album they played Comfortably Numb with a laser show. Some parts can def mess with you if you have vertigo/motion sickness etc because the way everything is moving and how fast it is while looking up at the dome...it can start making you pretty dizzy 😂
got to see this in Adelaide for part of the Adelaide Fringe Arts festival! 55 minutes of mind/eye/ear blowing beauty. had justhad surgery 2 hours prior, but when i explained to the doctors/nurses what i wanted to go see (had bought the tickets a couple of weeks before) they thought it would be safe to just be sitting and watching something for an hour. cos i wasn't sure I'd make it, I'd tried un- loading the tickets for free, but didn't know anyone who'd be able to make a 4pm session or was even into Pink Floyd (if they even knew who they were!)- so maybe it was post general anesthetic talking, but a mate and I made the effort to get there and were absolutely gob smacked! First show I've seen at the Fringe in years and didn't regret it one bit. Really hope this gets made into a Blu-ray, cos I will certainly be a customer! I won't be able to match the sound quality nor the surrounding 360 degree imagery with the kind of tech they used...but im 'still keen for it! thank you to those involved for creating such an experience I ask would a "Bladerunner" type production be possible using Vangelis's album as a template and the imagery from the movies and other material?
Great question! Unfortunately none of our theaters are Atmos-certified venues, so we will not be using the new Atmos mix of the album. Never fear though! Our Grainger Sky Theater features 15.2 surround sound, so we promise it will still sound excellent! 🚀
