Nice to see that the winter isn't stopping you from getting out. Not that I'd expect it to, given your snowshoe adventures. Beautiful to see the winter within these hills. I've seen them on so many hikes from various UA-camrs, but never in their winter outfit.
I dream of days like this on the fells and mountains. I hadn't planned on filming it so I didn't have the GoPro with me, hence the sketchy video. Fingers are crossed for a good winter this year ❄🏔🏔
Hi Ian, absolutely stunning mate, what a day you had, I love the Coledale Horseshoe, I need to get out and do it again. It looks amazing in the snow. Thanks you so much for sharing. All the best and Merry Christmas, Dave.
Thank you Dave, much appreciated. With the Coledale Inn to finish the route it's been a favourite of mine for years 🍺😋All the best for the festive season 🎉🎉🎄🎄
Thank you very much for your kind comments. I have subscribed to your channel and I'll be watching your videos for tips on making videos 😃 Happy New Year to you too
Thank you Tony. Aye, a lovely route made all the better by the conditions. The Coledale Inn keeps some of the best beer in the Lakes and their steak pie dinner is legendary 😋
Hey, thanks Bart! 👍We love winter hiking, especially in conditions like that. Sadly it only lasted another day before the rain arrived but we're hoping for a proper Scottish winter this year. Seasons greetings to you and yours 🎄🎄🎄🎄🥳🥳🎉🎉
Stunning Ian I know these are the conditions you and Meg enjoy the most (make for a spectacular film and clime for you guys) 🏔️🏔️🏔️🏔️ Best wishes Simon have a great Christmas 🎄 🤠👍
Hi Simon 🙋♂Thank you. Yes, we're really at home in winter conditions, just a shame they didn't last a little longer 😉Hoping for some winter wild camps this year as we won't be in the Dolomites. Best wishes to you and your family for the festive season and here's to an adventurous 2024 🎉🥳 🌄🌄
Some lovely pics, Ian, looks a grand day out. I did a shorter version (omitting Causey Pike, but adding Barrow) in September. I thought I’d done well in the rain and cloud, but much harder in snow. 🎩 s off to you! Could do with a bit of snow in Keswick, it’s rained every day for a week now - still beautiful mind.
Thanks Steve. We've had the same weather here. Today we saw the sun for a few hours but the next five days look grim. Maybe a brief respite on Saturday. Mind you, there's plenty of warm and cozy pubs down there to enjoy 🍺
Wow! Didn’t you get the great weather!!! The snow’s all gone now 😭 Lovely images of some very familiar scenes. It’s probably going to be another joint birthday by the time we get to meet up. I’ll have a keg of Black Sheep at the ready 😁 Have a lovely Christmas Ian, ATB! Sue
Hi Sue! I was thinking the same last night...hopefully we'll manage to hook up before March! Let me know if you're coming north and I'll try and join you. We're hoping our new place in Aviemore will be ready mid-January 🤞 All the best to you and Dave and have a great Christmas and New Year 🥳🎄🎉🎉
Hi ian , This looks super , the anxiety of a distant hill top with the tropical warmty trapped below . Stinning view When you do your pans , in 30 fps , can i suggest you rotate at the speed of a second hand on a watch . It is a problem in cameras that they knit the frames vertical . Or sane speed at 60fps woyld help you
Hi Owen! Thanks for your kind comments. In truth I hadn't planned on making a video of this trip. I only had my Sony camera with me and it isn't great with video. It does however take some good photos and I'm pleased you enjoyed them. All the best, Ian
Like! Beautiful winter scenes! Awesome captures! Wonderful hike!
Yep, a winter winter wonderland! 😀Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment 🙋♂

Love the mapping data
Superb Ian. Beautiful scenery. Bet Meg was in her element! Makes me, who hates the cold, want to get out there and experience it in winter!
Thanks Matt! Yeah, Meg has always loved the snow. We won't be in the Dolomites this winter so I'm really hoping for a good one here. Best wishes, Ian
