  • August 2023 is a special month, providing with not just one but two Super Moons the second of which a Blue moon. A moon is considered a blue moon when it’s the second full moon in a cycle and this one is considered a #superbluemoon due to the Moons proximity to the earth.
    Sadly its blue by name and not by nature as the moon while appearing larger in the sky especially during moonrise and moonset, is just its regular old white/yellow.
    The Nikon #p1000 with its massive #zoom lens is the perfect camera for capturing a moon rise and taking a great close up look at the the Moon while at its closest proximity to earth. We cover both in this special mid week edition Mega zoom video.
    It’s the last Super Blue Moon for a decade and a bit (2037) so I hope you all enjoy.

      Its the first song I ever used in a video and I try to find a different version of it when ever the Moon is involved. Like you say, is there a more perfect song?

    Impressive views of the super blue moon set to a perfect music selection. I like the time-lapse views that include the rising moon and passing boats. I enjoyed in full to the end. Thank you, my friend.

    Wonderful. I have a P1000 and have done some moon video. The time lapse, would you please reply with the settings used as would love to have a go at doing this. 😊

      Hey mate, the camera has a Timelapse function itself but but i am a fan of just recording and speeding the video up later in editing, this way I get to control the speed of the Timelapse.
      For this video it was just the default 4K settings on auto.

      @@SuperZoomVideos Thank you. I have used the time lapse for opening flowers but think your idea of running video is the goer. I have a very heavy tripod and think this will help as well. If the clouds stay away I will have a crack soon.
      Thank you again.

    Hello ! If its distance is 94km, how can it get so close to the surface of the moon which is 384,000km away. How is that possible? There is nothing on Google about, how is this possible!

    • @SuperZoomVideos
      @SuperZoomVideos  6 місяців тому

      It’s a cropped zoom once you get really close it’s mostly digitally enhanced zoom. Much like you can see a mountain in the distance with your eyes, this video is still exceptionally far from a large object.
      The crater Tycho that is the right most large crater on the moon is around 82KM in diameter (bigger than San Marino) so really we aren’t that close
