- Columbia University threatened to expel pro-Palestinian protesters who barricaded themselves inside an academic building. This comes after the school suspended and arrested student protesters who failed to clear out the campus encampment erected earlier this month. Correspondent Brooke Shafer joins NewsNation’s “On Balance” with the latest on the ground, saying the school is urging students to end the demonstration by graduation.

I was a student once, living on campus of a major university in the US. We had campus police with horses and guns. Nobody was allowed to break laws, even we had special gathering places for protests and demonstrations if needed. NYC is special place for riots, as expected! Expel the rioters immediately, and let normal students study!
It shouldn't be judged that way. People in large groups always act crazy.
Nobody is forcing the students to be there or to escalate to the point they are. It doesn't surprise me to see that "outside influence" narrative because it redirects responsibility away from the schools complicity.
