I don't know where I would be without this channel. The teachings are unfailingly synchronistic to my growth, and present just what I need in each session. I know that's no accident. Namaste, Andrew. 🙏🙏🙏😇😇😇
You're most welcome! I'm really glad to know you enjoyed it. Regarding starting with the left leg, to my understanding of the tradition of Hatha Yoga, all of the practises should begin on the lunar/receptive side of the energy body (ida nadi) before stimulating the solar/emissive side (pingala nadi). It's not always the case, but typically the left side of the body is correlated with ida nadi. There are certain exceptions, for example twists, where twisting to the right side is activating the lunar channel. However, in the case of the lunging poses, the left leg is associated with the receptive side.
Lost of love and gratitude for guiding this session. I really enjoyed and felling the Surya energy on this solar eclipse especial day! Just have a question, do you use to do Shavasana after closing the space?. I learned doing Shavasana at the end of the Kriya. Thanks for your time and light? 🙏🏼💎🦂🌹
Yes, it's very important to always take some time to relax at the end of a class! That could be either 6-10min of Savasana or, if meditation is a usual practice for you, 10-30min of meditation. Either way it is super important to give your body some time to settle and integrate the energies of the practice before going on with your day 💝
Hey Andrew, been reading some stuff recently about Yogi Bhajan - him committing crimes against women, being a cult leader and generally not great person. I was just about to start this practice when u mentioned that it's one from him. What do you make of all this? I am uncertain of whether the practices Yogi Bhajan made are spiritually safe when they come from someone who is seemingly misguided and putting out dark energies into the world.
Hey Peri, I can completely understand your predicament and hesitance regarding wanting to engage in these practices. It's for this reason that I always try to make clear when one of the practices is coming from Yogi Bhajan. I believe everyone should have the right to choose which practices they want to engage in. (FYI, if it starts with "Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo" it's from YB's lineage) Regarding the situation of accusations, honestly Peri, I don't know the truth, I don't know Yogi Bhajan, I've never done one of his trainings. I did read through half of the KRI teacher training manual and thought it had some real value and good insights. The only thing I do know for certain is my own experiences with these practices. And in my experience they are working. These practices have helped me to look at myself, my patterns and traumas, to work through my addictions and to raise my consciousness enough to the point where I am also able to help others with their traumas and challenges. I in no way want to condone any acts of abuse or neglect. And when I practice these sequences I feel nothing but love and expansion. For me, that is enough to embrace these teachings, regardless of the source. And in the end, this is what Bhajan was saying, that you are your own teacher, your own Guru. And I truly believe that to decide what is right and wrong for you is entirely up to the discrimination of your own consciousness.
Totally get where Peri is coming from. Such a controversial subject at the moment and there is no right answer. Unfortunately, many of the yoga teachers that brought yoga to the west have been found to have been involved in abuse and bullying. The group that I was involved in was full of hypocrisy and the main teacher was accused of sexual abuse. I left before he was exposed and took up Kundalini yoga only to find a similar pattern of abuse by Bhajan. Since all this has come to light, many teachers have just stopped teaching, which is sad. I gave up yoga for a while as I just didn't know what to think anymore, but found that it is something that helps me. I don't follow doctrines, or gurus, as the yoga speaks louder than any ideology. Yoga has been passed on down through generations and everyone adds their own bit, borrowing from other teachers. I don't know how much YB introduced into the practice. I think a lot of these original teachers may have started off with good intention and then the power and money went to their heads; especially when you think when they came to the west, and the poverty in the countries they left behind. .Probably why so many succumbed to corruption. Something reflected in many areas in life at the moment! I love Andrew's classes as he has made it his own and doesn't just follow one discipline. I enjoyed the 108 Sun Salutes. I get a sense of purity from his videos, probably because he actually does the practice rather than just teach and talk. Refeel got me back into yoga and at the moment it is the only one that I can bring myself to do. I agree it is hard to make a moral decision. I really hope the next generation of yogis lead by example.
Definitely different, I myself will only learn from a real guru since Sadhguru is available. People are really confused about kriyas and kundalini yoga… and yet “certain” enough to teach others what they don’t know
Certainly! The key point with all yoga practises is just to be aware of your limitations where you are. The idea is never to push beyond your limits, always practice within a comfortable range and make sure you make any adjustments that are needed so that the practice is accessible.
This sequence come from Yogi Bhajan's system. Technically all forms of physical yoga come from Hatha Yoga, such as Vinyasa, Yin, Kriya, etc. And in one way or another, all systems of Yoga are intended to be paths to awakening the Kundalini. However yes, this series comes from "Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan"
@@RefeelYoga thats a great information sir.. I want to know one more thing, Do yogasanas transmute sexual energy into higher chakras? I know that pranayama will do that but i dont know about yogasanas. Is it do the same ?
You know that Hatha Yoga has nothing to do with making the body fit and healthy, right? These are merely side effects. Hatha Yoga is the practice of balancing the sun and the moon, the masculine and feminine energies within, the opposing forces of the nervous system, so that one can go into deep states of meditation and realize their divine consciousness.
It depends about which you speak. It is correct that the words go into the subconscious while one practices, so the words must be true and in the present moment. Avoid to watch television or listen to music while practice, unless it is music of a very high vibration.
There are no words to express my gratitude. Thank you! I love your energy and voice, so calming and gentle ❤

all these teachings emanate from the vedas..he might have been a fake like osho but not the teaching s..
Is this the same Surya Kriya as taught at Sadhguru's Isha Foundation, or are there different styles or sequences of Surya Kriya?
I haven't done Sadhguru's Surya Kriya, but I think they are probably different.
