Thanks for this informative video. I just want to know if we're on student visa for any academic training is it possible to change the type of visa to skilled worker in case of finding a sponsor for non-training job? Then work and study at the same time?
If you change to an work visa, you need to check the provisions of your student visa first to see if it is allowed. Doctors working in the NHS can still do degrees alongside it, but the degrees are part time and started after already being on a work visa.
Hi Dr, i have a question Kindly answer it, i have done mbbs and a housejob or foundation job of one year in PAKISTAN, now after OET exam what should i do to be able to work as a trainee in UK?
HI Dr, thank you for all the info, My question: is there any postgraduate exams in anesthesia or emergency medicine that we can take to apply for GMC registration, and are IMG doctors eligible to take these exams Thanks
Hi ..If we come to UK after MD Anaesthesia from India n start training in UK....do we directly start training in a subspecialty like cardiac Anaesthesia, Neuroanesthesia etc...or do we HV to train in General Anaesthesia training all over again
You'd need to check the competency requirement, person specification, and exams before even considering entering training. Please also see: ua-cam.com/video/Lr-ufHzD6WI/v-deo.html
Thank you mam for such an informative video. I have some questions .I will be very happy to know the answer from you. When the speciality trainee can sit for a FRCP/FRCS exam . How much possible it is to pass these exam , I heard that it is too tough and many doctor cannot complete it and need to change their carrier option . What is the truth regarding this . And what if a doctor fails to pass these exam . Will not they get the cct and become consultant without passing these exam.
FRCP is given via nomination and has no bearing on your CCT. FRCS is exam based, and you must pass it during your specialty training. While it is difficult to quantify for sure if you will pass or not, there is a support system within your training that will help you if you need it. However, as you've said, if you cannot pass FRCS, you cannot complete your training.
Thank you again ma'am . So can a doctor continue the training job if he doesn't pass FRCS or he will need to go out of the training job or change his speciality.
That was so informative!!! I h have a query though. I'm an ophthalmologist in India. I have finished three years of training and two years of experience in India. If I pass plab and frcophthal step one, can I enter st3 of training in ost surgical ophthal in the uk !? Will it help my portfolio?? I do not mind, and infact I want to repeat my entire training. Please help
To join ST3 surgical ophthalmology: 1. You need part 1 FRCOpth 2. Ophthalmology ST1 and ST2 competencies evidenced by assessments, logbook and feedback.

If I want to have some experience in the uk and then come back to my home country what route should I choose?? Do I need to go through plab and then work there and then come back??
Hello Dr Ibreez.. Your videos are really informative!! I have done my MD Internal Medicine from India 3 years back and currently doing practice in India. I want to persuade Rheumatology in future. My Paces is pending currently. After PACES at what ST level i should apply?
I am 4th year Medical student and very much afraid of UKMLE as my graduation will complete approximately 2024, if it’s happen, we will be considered as first or second batch for UKMLE. Will ukmle similar as plab? or GMC gonna huge change for UKMLE as like USMLE 😑
So much helpful video, I completed my mbbs and wish to do plab. Now i just heard about 1 year MSc program in ulster universty northern ireland in general medical practice along woth plab training with two year stay back. I am with my family. Ans they told 20 hours/week i can do work too . Is that a good platform to prepare for plabs???

I’ve watched the video you suggested, thank you for replying but I checked it on GMC page Indian pg isn’t recognised in UK what to do for that ? Someone suggested me to do mrcp alongside Pg in India. Super confused.
I have a doubt about post graduation ,for post graduation I need to clear ore exam or else simply I can join university to finish my MDS later I need to clear ore exam to practice in uk
Hello mam,, I need some info from u. I've completed my mbbs in 2017. I was planning to have my master's(MD/MS/Msc) from abroad which is recognized by BMDC and then come back to Bangladesh to continue my carrier here rather then staying there. In case of UK what ll be my chain of process? ll I have to go through PLAB, GMC too? Is there any entrance exam I have to attend? Thank you in advance . Wish your healthy and happy life
If MD/MSc still your target - then you do not need to take PLAB or anything else. Contact the university, see what their requirements are to join that MD/Msc course and join accordingly.

HI Dr, thank you for all the info, My question: is there any postgraduate exams in anesthesia or emergency medicine that we can take to apply for GMC registration, and are IMG doctors eligible to take these exams
Thanks
Yes and yes.

If I do MS in other countries except UK , will it add value to my CV? Do they accept MS/MD from other countries? Please let me know.
Any postgraduate degree would be considered in your training application.
I have booked my mrcs and emailed them my document .should I expect a reply from them whether my documents are Adequate or not
How do we get the academic degree (let's say an MD) in U.K.?

To join ST3 surgical ophthalmology:

Yes if you can manage the time.

If your goal is to work in the UK as a doctor, you will need to get GMC registration. This video talks you through how to do that: ua-cam.com/video/z4UghNcKl4U/v-deo.html
I’ve watched the video you suggested, thank you for replying but I checked it on GMC page Indian pg isn’t recognised in UK what to do for that ? Someone suggested me to do mrcp alongside Pg in India. Super confused.
This is Dal lake😀. I was there a few hours ago.

@dr mehrab hossain khan , if u details know about any university , please let me know..i'm interested to get admit.
Salam, Jazakum Allah Khyran. Does the non training jobs need a GMC registration?
