What a great video and thank you Father for explaining purgatory in the light of the Mercy of God and how we should not be cheap with loving and sacrifices.

In these crazy times Jesus and Mary are very active helping us. Thank you for starting this, it's so great! I'm a cradle Catholic myself. Love the stories of His Faith walk.
This is such a beautiful and meaningful discussion. I work in a hospital cardiac unit. Life is in between inhale and exhale. It is painful to see a life passing.
The souls in Purgatory are in so much need of our prayers and masses. Let us never doubt this. I believe that God answers in some way their prayers by allowing them to visit the living, and ask for masses and prayers. To me this is a form of an answered prayer and a proof of God’s mercy. St Faustina helped a soul in purgatory on one occasion not by her fasting but by her obedience and offered it to God, for that soul in Purgatory. That’s the power of obedience. This is what makes a Saint great. Souls who visit the living and are in need of prayer, should be heard by all of us. If they come to us, should listen to their request and pray for them, but we should not seek to get in contact with them and start asking them questions, because this is not what the Lord wants. It can become dangerous to fall into curiosity. It’s a distraction, the point is to aid the souls with prayers and masses.
Thank you both! What a lovely conversation. I agree with Ken, I feel that I cannot do enough penance, say enough prayer to cover our mercy. It would be great to hear a video about the heroic act of charity. We feel as though, we cannot do enough, therefore we offer all of our penance, all of our suffrages, all of our alms to our Lady and ask her to do with them as she will. Peace.
Thank you Ken and Father. This is very insightful. Helped me understand purgatory better.God bless you and thank you for including Father in your channel. I look forward to the upcoming episodes.
Really love the clear explanation of why purgation has to happen to Catholic Christians and the value of it for us to be worthy in heaven. 🙏🙏🙏❤️ Thanks and God bless you both! Love Fr Christiano!
Amazing video. I have been looking for a long time for a proper explanation of purgatory. Thank you so much for this video. I will make sure I keep the souls in purgatory on my prayers
Father Cristino is such a blessing. He presents the faith in such a humble and prudent/relatable way. The saints and poor holy souls truly are our friends because everyone in Heaven will be friends. In addition to that perfect friendship, we can love individual people in extra special ways and likewise in reverse by our gratitude that we have for each special gift we gave to one another. So yes, we absolutely would be all the more friends with those who helped us get to Heaven in an extra special way. What a beautiful thought you shared in the video. I was wondering if you could do an episode with Fr Cristino about Catholic inculturation. Specifically I am interested to know the limitations and allowances for private folk cultural devotions - such as smudging ceremonies. When is it okay to take part and when is it not? I would be very interested to hear his perspective on that. God bless.
Love this talk on purgatory. Great explanation that makes sense in my human mind. I’ve heard and read that having the divine mercy said at your bedside is promised according to diary of St Faustina “Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death.” (Diary, 687). Does this mean a a peaceful death or a healing of the wounds caused by sin thus avoiding purgatory?
I have 2 questions: is the mother who forgave her son without deducting his allowance to pay for the broken window considered a better understanding of the love of God for us? And, can we really live a purgatory life on earth so that we go straight to heaven when our time here is up? Isn’t this like the servant who hid the talent instead of multiplying it for his master?
Asked forgiveness to the people or person that you felt the "guilt" that your heart needs reconciliation. Remember what the second commandment of Jesus commanded. And the prayer ftom Jesus saying, Forgive us sin as we forgive those who have sinned against us. This is the hardest thing to do to anyone. But Jesus reminded us ftom His last 7 spoken sentences before He give up His Spirit...."FATHER forgive them for they do not know what they are doing."
About penance with the Lord- I love Him. He just wants me to ask sincere forgiveness and his presence connects. Penance could be a creation of man, so I would just talk to the Lord about it 👍
It’s is not that God doesn’t want these precious souls, but on the contrary. God is so pure and holy, that if we were to stand before Him with our sinful bodies, we would be vaporized. It would be instant death, but because the soul was created inmortal, it burns continuously. Until it purifies, like the gold. Then it will be ready to be in the presence of the most high. Sin and God cannot coexist z yet avid loves His creature so much, that will use whatever it takes to save the creature. He wants us all with Him. . So the soul will be saved but as through fire. 1 Corinthians 3-15
A View years ago I received an out of Body experience and was carried to a place which was so huge and looked like a cave landscape under open air. I was pulled out of my bed early in the morning and had something like a board beneath me, I was carried on. I did feel safe on that board. The heaven above me was dark and I saw many many stars. I had all my senses. When I landed on the ground, I found myself standing in an empty room with no furniture. There was artificial light everywhere. So I thought to myself to leave that room and look whats outside on the corridor. I went out and turned to the left and was very surprised to encounter my late grandfather who died three years ago. I saw his griefed face and spoke to him. He recognized me as well and said one sentence before a force pulled me out of that place and put me back into my bed in no time. My believe is that I had a glimse of purgatory and that there are many different areas of sufferings. My grandpas suffering was isolation, he was the only soul I saw there. And he appeared devastated. During lifetime I saw him complaining a lot about his children and others to. He was very fearful and saw danger and threats everywhere. He could be aggressive at times towards others. But he was also very generous and warm hearted at times.
two robbers were on the cross along with Jesus.one robber made fun of Jesus but the other repented n ask Jesus for forgiviness .so Jesus said to him from today you will be with me in paradise(heaven)So l want to ask you father how can you say that after confess when we have confess all ours sins still we go to Purgutory?pl reply.N Potestants d'not belive all these .or any non christians.is it for Catholics only ,rest seems to go in Hell.pl explan to us.
I wonder if this is not hapening on earth already?why do we tell about pulgarory after death . Also sometimes we say these souls cant help themseves or we need to pray for them is tere something more in this ?for example my dad died and he hurt me and I still have the consequences in my life .Is it like they wait for us to sort this things in us with God ? So the earth and heaven are conected. I just wonder who wish to go to purgatory waiting for God all this life and end up in pulgatory , probably I mix a little of everything .Sorry
Wear the brown scapular. You are at least guaranteed purgatory. And if you are there because of the brown scapular our lady will assist you out of that place. This is what is known as the Sabbatine privilege.
Great question. We don't know forsure... so we should pray! The best prayer offered for the Holy Souls is the Holy Sacrifice of the mass offered for them. You could also offer a Rosary, Divine Chaplet of Mercy... or the St Gertrude Chaplet linked here: ua-cam.com/video/U5BBFwYLuR4/v-deo.html
I am wonder Do the other Christain (protestant) the Muslims the Hindu the Buddhist the bahaii etc etc go to purgatory too before going to heaven or for them it is only heaven n hell. I am asking this because I am also praying for my Christain friends (non catholic)Muslim friends Buddhist friends Thank you for the enlightenment God bless you always

You need a life of prayer and suffering on earth to escape purgatory Unfortunately most Christians detest suffering. Heaven is not made for those who do not suffer for the love of God. Life of pleasure is a complete straight path to domination.
PURGATORY SOULS CAN'T BEND THEIR KNEE TO JESUS IN HELL. THE UNDERWORLD IS PURGATORY, THE WAITING ROOM TO HEAVEN. PHILIPPIANS 2:9-11 9 And for this God raised him high, and gave him the name which is above all other names; 10 so that all beings in the heavens, on earth, and in the underworld, should bend the knee at the name of Jesus 11 and that every tongue should acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Praying for the dead: 2 Maccabees 12:43-46 Chastisement of the worthy dead: Wisdom 3:1-7 Some awake to life, some to shame, some to everlasting contempt: Daniel 12:2 Many will be purified: Daniel 12:10 Refining by fire: Zechariah 13:9 Purified like silver: Malachi 3:2-3 We won’t get out until we pay the last farthing: Matthew 5:26 Forgiveness in the age to come: Matthew 12:32 We pay the last mite: Luke 12:58-59 Sins unto death, sins not unto death: 1 John 5:14-17 Works will be revealed by fire; some will suffer loss but be saved: 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 Paul prays for the dead Onesiphorus: 2 Timothy 1:16-18 We must be perfect before we go to Heaven: Hebrews 12:22-23, Revelation 21:10, 27
how that posible? while God already said that after death you cannot do anything for that died person and if you read the wholee bible there is no purgatory. its completely lie.
@WeaponOfChoice because someone that lives longer, like years longer, will have more temporal punishment on their soul because they sin more than someone who dies younger in most cases
When i go to confession and my confession is Fornication. But im a single man. Should i go into details with the priest or just say i fell into Lust/Fornication? And continue with the rest of my other Sins? Thank you in Advanced catholic minute.. 🙌🏼🕊️🙏🏼
Matthew 25:46 NKJV And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." Wheres purgatory??? Why do Catholics believe a priest can take away sins? Hebrews 10 KJV 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; Why do Catholics believe Peter is the rock? Deuteronomy 32 KJV 4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. 1 Corinthians 10 KJV 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. Catholic church in the Bible. Revelation 17 KJV 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: Cardinals are arrayed in purple and Scarlet just like women. ✅ Cardinals are decked in gold and precious stones. ✅ The pope has a golden cup in his hand. ✅ Revelation 17 KJV 9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. Vatican and Rome are on seven mountains. ( go ahead and Google it ) Revelation 17 KJV 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. Vatican City is a great city that definitely reigns over the kings of this earth. 1 Timothy 4:1-5 NKJV [1] Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, [2] speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, [3] forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; [5] for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. The Catholic Church is an apostate body that was manifested even during the days of the disciples for they are the Gnostics and the ones that did not agree with the apostles teachings and therefore took it upon themselves to split off. They are even mentioned by Timothy, John and Paul. 1 John 2:19 NKJV [19] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. The Catholic Church is the embodiment of a parallel sect of apostate believers who corrupted the teachings of Jesus by warping its foundation to what you see today. The first 600 years was the ancient church. A time of gospel being preached boldly. Over the next 900 years you have the medieval church where scripture is hidden. Then you have the reformation church where scripture is restored. And today we have the modern church where scripture is being blatantly ignored by Catholicism and the prosperity gospel’s for personal gain and tradition. Revelation 18:4-8 NKJV [4] And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. [5] For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. [6] Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. [7] In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, 'I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.' [8] Therefore her plagues will come in one day-death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.
@WeaponOfChoice i am forgiven by the blood of Jesus because he took the punishment of sin for me. 2 Corinthians 5:21 [21] For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. I am redeemed in him and in him there is no condemnation for Sin. Romans 8:1-4 [1] Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. [3] For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, [4] so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. And because of these scriptural truths i am secure and saved for good. I cannot lose this gift nor can i lose it to sin. Romans 8:38-39 [38] For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him i am considered righteous even if i sin. In him i possess the holy spirit who dwells in me. 1 Corinthians 2:16 [16] For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ. And because belong to Christ i am corrected and chastised because he loves me. Hebrews 12:5-8 [5] And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: "My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; [6] For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives." [7] If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? [8] But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. In him my works are as filthy rags, my own efforts cannot save me. Only Belief and repentance. Faith is a gift only for those who believe. I wait on my savior for works given. Ephesians 2:8-10 [8] For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, [9] not of works, lest anyone should boast. [10] For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Mark 1:15 [15] and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel." There is no purgatory.
@WeaponOfChoice your works of purity are as filthy rags. Repent and believe. Jesus did the work. Anyone of Christ is a new creation. The old has washed away. Ephesians 4:20-24 [20] But you have not so learned Christ, [21] if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: [22] that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, [23] and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, [24] and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
@WeaponOfChoice Well very heresy you decry encompasses you’re early church fathers. I’m quoting from the USCCB Bible by the way. - Irenaeus (AD 180): We have learned from none others the plan of our salvation, than from those through whom the gospel has come down to us, which they did at one time proclaim in public, and, at a later period, by the will of God, handed down to us in the Scriptures, to be the ground and pillar of our faith. (Against Heresies, 3:1.1) - Athanasius (AD 296-373): The holy and inspired Scriptures are fully sufficient for the proclamation of the truth. (Against the Heathen, 1:3) - Augustine (AD 354-430): It is to the canonical Scriptures alone that I am bound to yield such implicit subjection as to follow their teaching, without admitting the slightest suspicion that in them any mistake or any statement intended to mislead could find a place. (Letters, 82.3) - Augustine (AD 354-430): He [God] also inspired the Scripture, which is regarded as canonical and of supreme authority and to which we give credence concerning all the truths we ought to know and yet, of ourselves, are unable to learn. (City of God, 11.3) - Cyril of Jerusalem (AD 310-386): For concerning the divine and holy mysteries of the Faith, not even a casual statement must be delivered without the Holy Scriptures; nor must we be drawn aside by mere plausibility and artifices of speech. Even to me, who tell you these things, give not absolute credence, unless you receive the proof of the things which I announce from the Divine Scriptures. For this salvation which we believe depends not on ingenious reasoning, but on demonstration of the Holy Scriptures. (Catechetical Lectures, IV:17 in The Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers) - Gregory of Nyssa (AD 330-395): We are not entitled to such license, namely, of affirming whatever we please. For we make Sacred Scripture the rule and the norm of every doctrine. Upon that we are obliged to fix our eyes, and we approve only whatever can be brought into harmony with the intent of these writings. (On the Soul and the Resurrection, quoted in Jaroslav Pelikan, The Emergence of the Catholic Tradition [Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1971], p. 50.) - Augustine of Hippo (AD 354-430): Let them show their church if they can, not by the speeches and mumblings of the Africans, not by the councils of their bishops, not by the writings of any of their champions, not by fraudulent signs and wonders, because we have been prepared and made cautious also against these things by the Word of the Lord. (On the Unity of the Church, 16) - John Chrysostom (AD 347-407): Wherefore I exhort and entreat you all, disregard what this man and that man thinks about these things, and inquire from the Scriptures all these things; and having learned what are the true riches, let us pursue after them that we may obtain also the eternal good things. (Homily 13 on 2 Corinthians) - Basil the Great (AD 329-379): Therefore let God-inspired Scripture decide between us; and on whichever side be found doctrines in harmony with the Word of God, in favor of that side will be cast the vote of truth. (Letter 189 to Eustathius the physician)
@WeaponOfChoice you will get your wish one day. Catholicism will unite every religion under one banner, it will create a world religion that will have its self to worship and not Christ and it will work in concert with the new appointed global leader of the world at that time under a seven year treaty with Israel.
To see Father Cristino every week and hear his words of wisdom - what a Blessing!!
Pray that we can keep up the pace we promised!!!
I love how the Priest said purgatory is a sigh of God’s Mercy. Our souls opportunity to be purified. This is a great video. Thanks, Viva Cristo Rey
@@Joseph-p4o1k Think of how infinitely worse hell is. That lasts for all eternity with no chance of getting out.

Thank God for Purgatory, it is truly the mercy of God that exists. It is transitional, not forever.
Wow that was so special Thank you Ken and Thank you Father
🙏✝️ Fr Cristino Bouvette 🙏🙏
Just what I needed to hear

*** This is really the best video about purgatory; it is very interesting info and we informed priest! AMEN
Excellent explanation. Thank you!
This was great! Looking forward to many more subjects .. ty Ken and Fr. 🥰🙏🏼
Thank you both for this wonderful explanation of our faith. It touched my heart.
❤ God Bless you both🎉
Really love the clear explanation of why purgation has to happen to Catholic Christians and the value of it for us to be worthy in heaven. 🙏🙏🙏❤️ Thanks and God bless you both! Love Fr Christiano!
Amazing video. I have been looking for a long time for a proper explanation of purgatory. Thank you so much for this video. I will make sure I keep the souls in purgatory on my prayers
You're very welcome!
Love it!!!🙌🙏🙏🙏💐☀️
Awesome! I believe!
A lot of great information. I hope this is taught in the Catholic schools. Thanks & God Bless
God bless.
Great
How does this fit in with St Paul's Epistles concerning justification?
I knew about purgatory from my parents as long as I can remember. My mom always said, “offer it up for the poor souls in purgatory”
Great video 💙💙💙
St Nicholas of Tolentino is the patron saint of the Holy Souls in Purgatory. We can pray to him for the Holy Souls 🙏
So I guess Jesus died in vain. Jesus on the cross made up for what is lacking. And it’s called Mercy. Mercy is not standing in flames and burning.
Fail and fail. Purgatory takes nothing away from Jesus. Purgatory is final cleansing for the already saved. and it is the fire of His love.
@@deanbritton7917 In your own opinion. Which you have a right to.
Thank you for sharing. God bless
Cool
two robbers were on the cross along with Jesus.one robber made fun of Jesus but the other repented n ask Jesus for forgiviness .so Jesus said to him from today you will be with me in paradise(heaven)So l want to ask you father how can you say that after confess when we have confess all ours sins still we go to Purgutory?pl reply.N Potestants d'not belive all these .or any non christians.is it for Catholics only ,rest seems to go in Hell.pl explan to us.
Loreto Publications carries a small book called the Purgatorian Manual, full of prayers to and for the departed!
We all are together in Christ .❤️🙌🙌
God's justice demands that we pay a price for our forgiven sins.
And let us not to forget that there are souls in purgatory that are there centuries
What about Divine Mercy Sunday?
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
That's a lie Father Cris, I am tuning in specifically to listen to you!!! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
❤️🙏❤️
Can we pray to the holy souls when we need help or does it lean on occult?
In the fictional land of purgatory an old, grumpy nun pokes you with a sharp stick every time you have a bad thought.
@weaponofchoice-tc7qs "Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."
@weaponofchoice-tc7qs Actually, Jesus said that (John 8:23). You must be reading some sort of Catholic Bible.
Can you do penance before confession?
How are we to know the person is in purgatory after passing away. What is the prayers we have to pray 🙏 for the soul.

There is NO PURGATORY(100%) HELL AND HEAVEN ONLY,..
Archangel Michael said about that,..
❤
What does this priest think about Panchamma Incan idol worship that took place at VATICAN AMAZON SYNOD October2019?
It isnt enough restitution is essential. The courts sorts most penance and restitution for us.
I am wonder
Do the other Christain (protestant) the Muslims the Hindu the Buddhist the bahaii etc etc go to purgatory too before going to heaven or for them it is only heaven n hell.

You need a life of prayer and suffering on earth to escape purgatory Unfortunately most Christians detest suffering. Heaven is not made for those who do not suffer for the love of God. Life of pleasure is a complete straight path to domination.
We need to offer LOVE back to try to repair right?
PURGATORY
SOULS CAN'T BEND THEIR KNEE TO JESUS IN HELL.
THE UNDERWORLD IS PURGATORY, THE WAITING ROOM TO HEAVEN.
PHILIPPIANS 2:9-11
9 And for this God raised him high,
and gave him the name which is above all other names;
10 so that all beings in the heavens, on earth, and in the underworld,
should bend the knee at the name of Jesus
11 and that every tongue should acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Hebrews 12:22-23, Revelation 21:10, 27
how that posible? while God already said that after death you cannot do anything for that died person and if you read the wholee bible there is no purgatory. its completely lie.
An older person who lives longer on earth will have to be in purgatory longer rather than some one who died young
Why?
@WeaponOfChoice because someone that lives longer, like years longer, will have more temporal punishment on their soul because they sin more than someone who dies younger in most cases
From what is professed in this video the construct of " Pergatory " is UnChristian....
There is NO PURGATORY, HEAVEN and HELL ONLY (100%)
The highest Holy Spirit says about that ,..
If you believe in Holy Spirit ???
When i go to confession and my confession is Fornication. But im a single man. Should i go into details with the priest or just say i fell into Lust/Fornication? And continue with the rest of my other Sins? Thank you in Advanced catholic minute.. 🙌🏼🕊️🙏🏼
@WeaponOfChoice how does someone Remember 50 years worth of sin? Should I approximate and say a million
@WeaponOfChoice what’s the penance for 100,000 mortal sins? 3 Hail Mary’s!
@WeaponOfChoice why is their temporal punishment if God forgets your sin? If their is temporal punishment for your sin, God didn’t forget
Matthew 25:46 NKJV
And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
Wheres purgatory???
Why do Catholics believe a priest can take away sins?
Hebrews 10 KJV
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Why do Catholics believe Peter is the rock?
Deuteronomy 32 KJV
4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
1 Corinthians 10 KJV
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Catholic church in the Bible.
Revelation 17 KJV
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Cardinals are arrayed in purple and Scarlet just like women. ✅
Cardinals are decked in gold and precious stones. ✅
The pope has a golden cup in his hand. ✅
Revelation 17 KJV
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
Vatican and Rome are on seven mountains.
( go ahead and Google it )
Revelation 17 KJV
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
Vatican City is a great city that definitely reigns over the kings of this earth.
1 Timothy 4:1-5 NKJV
[1] Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, [2] speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, [3] forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
1 John 2:19 NKJV
[19] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
Revelation 18:4-8 NKJV
[4] And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
2 Corinthians 5:21
[21] For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
I am redeemed in him and in him there is no condemnation for Sin.
Romans 8:1-4
[1] Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:38-39
[38] For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In him i am considered righteous even if i sin. In him i possess the holy spirit who dwells in me.
1 Corinthians 2:16
[16] For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
And because belong to Christ i am corrected and chastised because he loves me.
Hebrews 12:5-8
[5] And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: "My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; [6] For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives." [7] If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? [8] But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.
In him my works are as filthy rags, my own efforts cannot save me. Only Belief and repentance. Faith is a gift only for those who believe. I wait on my savior for works given.
Ephesians 2:8-10
[8] For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, [9] not of works, lest anyone should boast. [10] For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Mark 1:15
[15] and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel."
There is no purgatory.
@WeaponOfChoice your works of purity are as filthy rags. Repent and believe. Jesus did the work. Anyone of Christ is a new creation. The old has washed away.
Ephesians 4:20-24
[20] But you have not so learned Christ, [21] if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: [22] that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, [23] and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, [24] and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
@WeaponOfChoice
Well very heresy you decry encompasses you’re early church fathers.
(Against Heresies, 3:1.1)
- Athanasius (AD 296-373): The holy and inspired Scriptures are fully sufficient for the proclamation of the truth. (Against the Heathen, 1:3)
- Augustine (AD 354-430): It is to the canonical Scriptures alone that I am bound to yield such implicit subjection as to follow their teaching, without admitting the slightest suspicion that in them any mistake or any statement intended to mislead could find a place. (Letters, 82.3)
- Augustine (AD 354-430): He [God] also inspired the Scripture, which is regarded as canonical and of supreme authority and to which we give credence concerning all the truths we ought to know and yet, of ourselves, are unable to learn. (City of God, 11.3)
- Cyril of Jerusalem (AD 310-386): For concerning the divine and holy mysteries of the Faith, not even a casual statement must be delivered without the Holy Scriptures; nor must we be drawn aside by mere plausibility and artifices of speech. Even to me, who tell you these things, give not absolute credence, unless you receive the proof of the things which I announce from the Divine Scriptures. For this salvation which we believe depends not on ingenious reasoning, but on demonstration of the Holy Scriptures. (Catechetical Lectures, IV:17 in The Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers)
- Gregory of Nyssa (AD 330-395): We are not entitled to such license, namely, of affirming whatever we please. 50.)
- Augustine of Hippo (AD 354-430): Let them show their church if they can, not by the speeches and mumblings of the Africans, not by the councils of their bishops, not by the writings of any of their champions, not by fraudulent signs and wonders, because we have been prepared and made cautious also against these things by the Word of the Lord. (On the Unity of the Church, 16)
- John Chrysostom (AD 347-407): Wherefore I exhort and entreat you all, disregard what this man and that man thinks about these things, and inquire from the Scriptures all these things; and having learned what are the true riches, let us pursue after them that we may obtain also the eternal good things. (Homily 13 on 2 Corinthians)
- Basil the Great (AD 329-379): Therefore let God-inspired Scripture decide between us; and on whichever side be found doctrines in harmony with the Word of God, in favor of that side will be cast the vote of truth.
@po18guy
In a apparition Our Lord says a soul goes through their private judgment experience God and then leave His presence ! This is what causes the pain !
