I was recently diagnosis with Parkinson's Disease and dancing was recommend to slow down the nerve damage. Enjoyed your class - I am just learning and having fun.
Glad you’re here, Kathleen! I’ve danced with tappers with PD before, and they’ve mentioned how helpful tap dancing is for balance as well. Keep on moving and grooving. 💜💜💜
Omg, I practically learned all the basic tap Dance today. I got a little confused after 23:30. I need to slow down the speed to catch up on all the little steps. Thank you so much for teaching us to tap dance. See you in the next class ❤btw I'm 65 years young.😊want to learn tap dance😮
Had so much fun! I tapped years ago with late husband who studied acting. He convinced me to learn how. I'm 67. He was much older than me, and he was amazing. I loved this routine, sweating up a storm! I remember so much. So far 3 days in a row, and I know it will make me healthier, happy and thinner! Looking for more of your videos. You rock!
I am.67 too. Just started talking tap dance classes this year. Just might try using your video to practice once I get a floor to use for practice. Otherwise, I guess I could try without tap shoes for now.
You have the best online tap class I have found. Some teachers don't queue or say steps, and do things far too advanced for beginners. I have danced all my life, but picked up tap in my mind 40s. I recently had surgery, and have gone back to ballet class and tapping, and it's hit and miss what will fire in my brain down to my feet, but getting better. I'm an American living in the UK, and often times I find classes completely different here than in the US. Thanks for offering this. A year ago I could not walk, and after a lifetime of dancing, this was hard to except. Now I am dancing again!
I shared this with my Mom who is mid way in her frontal temporal lobe Dementia,,she giggled and actually started lifting and tapping along with the beat of your tap shoes!!!THANK You for "Tapping"into her memory chamber
I found this video by accident. Ive never tapped before, im.65, but it looks like a load of fun and a great leg workout. I saved the video and now lookkng for a pair of tap shoes.
Absolutely loved the class and had so much fun! today was easier than yesterday was so I’m very encouraged and I’m gonna check out all the classes. Just love love love the content.
I think we need more of this , excellent. Proud of you.Tnks for always mentioning me below 👍❤️👠💃 Nice to learn new names from what I was taught in early 60’s. Great for memory brain teasers & workout with sneakers 👟 too
@@BeginnerDanceTutorials I love the sound of your tap board. I don't like this board my minister gave me. I'm so thankful better then nothing. Hes such a sweetheart. But, If you get a chance let me know the name of yours.
Loved your routine and leanring with you! Your have an amazing energy and always make me feel like I can do it too :) Thank you so much for your videos!
I would love to do this, but I would never be able to follow any actual choreography with the forward facing instruction. Maybe your second angle could be from behind?
I considered that, but unfortunately I don't have enough room behind me for a second camera angle. This is my setup for my live online classes. Sorry this wasn't helpful for your learning style! 💜

I just found this!!! Love your spunk!!!!
I'm learning this routine slowly but surely. I'm still learning the difference between a flap and shuffle but I'll get there.
You got this!! A shuffle always ends in the air…a flap ends on the floor. Have fun! 💜

Yep - it's a 4x4 sheet of maple plywood laid over 4 foam flooring tiles. 🤗
I want a pair of your blue tap shoes! Where do I find them?
These are made by Bloch, but I'm not sure they make this particular color anymore. They do have other fun colors though!
Just started classes !

I’m into fitness and after watching your video I want to buy tap shoes and give it a try with you. Haha.

What kind of surface are you tapping on?
Sorry for the late reply! I'm tapping on a 4x4 sheet of maple plywood laid over foam flooring. 🤗
please do a oops i did it again dance tutorial!💜💜
Great idea!
why youre yelling
Can’t help it 😂😂😂
Most tap dance teachers yell. It gets pretty loud if you are in a room full of people tapdancing, so nobody could hear you if you speak normally! ☺️
