Thank you for this! Didn’t know whether or not to get transitions because when I was a kid in the 90s I had transitions and they looked sooooo ugly, technology was obviously different but I think now they look good!
When choosing the lenses did you opt for the Ray-Ban Authentic lenses or the SportRX custom lenses come etched with the Ray-Ban RB etching on the lenses as well?
Hey thank you! This helps me decide on specifically the clear to green transition lenses for DRIVING SUNGLASSES. This is a deal breaker for me thank you!
Transitions do not darken behind a windshield so the best bet is to have a dedicated pair of sunglasses for that. But there is a new version of transitions that work in a car.
I've had my Rayban stories now for 6 months. I'm so glad I chose the wayfarer matte black with dark grey lens - I don't need the transition lens 👍 I wear these like my regular driving sunglasses, I just look way cooler now and I have the option to impress people with spy tech when I go out in the day, or have them on me indoors. Still enjoying them although I don't take nearly as many photos and videos with them as I did in the beginning. The coolness feeling is still strong tho 😎
Thanks for this great review, Oscar. Does the green G-15 tint render a blue sky with a greenish hue? I have amber/brown lenses that make a blue sky look hazy, while my gray lenses accentuate the blue.
Great eye! That's what I thought so at first too but it's actually because the top of the frame was covering the top of the lens therefore it wouldn't darken. When I aim the glasses completely upwards towards the sun then the gap isn't there anymore.
you are correct! I have gray gen 8 lenses and although they are gray when I put them on white paper, when I put them on my face they turn brown as you can see in this video of mine: ua-cam.com/users/shortsrEAckJwc26E
@@ruiamaral1974 Sorry for me grumpy comment above lol. When I recently ordered my glasses, I was really looking forward to them being transitions (my first) and being green tinted as it's my favorite color. I'm legit disappointed and grumpy that they don't look green at all! :(
@@OZZ___ Not sure. I bought through a nearby RayBan store. My prescription is pretty strong so I wasn’t able to get RayBan lenses and they sourced my lenses from a lens different supplier. Im in So Cal and it seems like they get darkest on cooler days but I think that’s just the norm?
I like Ray-Ban for a couple reasons: 1.they invented the aviator for military use and was then released to the public in 1937, so they are the og's in the sunglasses game. 2. They invented the three most popular and copied styles, the aviator, the wayfarer, and the clubmaster. 3. They look bad ass 4. The Ray-Ban logo is very attractive.
@@kyles5513 I have a pair of rayban aviators 3025 and I love them. But.. they are owned by a monopoly. Before rayban was bought by luxxotica they were cheap sunglasses. Now they are a luxury.
@@Diadactyl when you look at it that way, but I don't care about the corporate side of it. I'm obviously not a fan of how expensive they are but you get what you pay for because they are built pretty tough. One pair of aviators lasted me the same amount of time 6 or 7 pairs of cheap aviators did and they all took the same amount of beating cause I wear them at work too. (Framing carpentry) so I stand by them.

This was exactly what I needed to see. Thank you! Excellent video.
Good demonstration. I wouldn't have even thought about the car windshield thing - good point. Thanks!
The Xtraactive version will get half dark behind the car windshield.
Hi bro can u review Ray Ban eye glasses in Transition G15 POL(Polarized)
When choosing the lenses did you opt for the Ray-Ban Authentic lenses or the SportRX custom lenses come etched with the Ray-Ban RB etching on the lenses as well?
Great thanks! Just got a pair of Wayfarers with transition lenses .. was wondering how’d they actually work. This vid helped answer that question!
Great, thanks for watching!
Nice demo, the glasses look great on you.
So what is the actual difference between the Gg-15 and the Graphite Green Ray Ban offers on their website? Thanks, great video Oscar
It's basically the same lens color just with different names. Thanks for watching!
Hi what’s the difference between these g15 transition and rayban grey transition?
@@jct4111 the g15 transitions have a slight dark green tint to them while the grey transitions are just grey
@@OZZ___ thanks. Which ones go darker?
@@jct4111 no problem. The grey gets a bit more darker than the g15, not by much though.

Thank you Mark! It definitely does make the sky looks like it has a greenish hue, especially with any type of light that reflects off of the lenses.
The lenses from essilor or RB ? Thanks
Hey, homie, it looks like they didn't put the lenses correctly because I can see a gap on the top of the lens. 6:10

I want to see the POV of this color
How well does the blue light filter work in the gen 8?
It works quite well, definitely reduces eye strain from looking at screens.
Did you have any anti-reflective coating added?
Yes, it came standard with it
Please let me know the frame model number.. Thanks!
