Good to have videos like these for newcomers to fishing. Always very informative. Stuff Andrew!👍
Glad you like them!
A man after my own heart, brilliant video 👍
Good stuff, great rig, very time saving. Thanks Andrew.
Thank you, Mike 👍👍
Thank you this was really helpful especially about creating rigs and attaching to main line by just feeding the rig and winder through a big loop. Easy when you know how 😮
Thanks for sharing!
Superb video Andrew ,some nice roach you had 👍🏻
Welcome.
Thanks Andrew, very informative
Cheers 👍
Clever using braid on mainline. When picking up all that line on the strike, nearly no stretch at all apart from what's in rig. Good idea man
Yep. Once started doing that, I never looked back. I know people who did the same. In my opinion it's much better for river/float fishing.
Excellent content, I will try this with my Bolo's for the Wye
Yeah, it works well. At least it's practical 👍👍
Very helpful thanks I will past your channel to my friends
Awesome thank you!
Very interisting !
Thanks 👍
8 x 4 ,,,,, is 8 number 4 shots or equivalent so its the shotting capacity ,,good idea the loop to loop made up rigs ,dave harral floats are really good for long trotting ,tight lines,,
Thanks for the info. Yes, DH floats are good! ✌
You are very rare Englishman who fish with bolo rod.
I try.
@@AndrewsKnots Much easier, but totally untraditional. I'm from Serbia, but I very often floatfish with centerpin and match rod...
Excellent video. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Shot sizes on some floats are given in Style weights 4x12, especially on pole floats this is from continental fishing & can be quite confusing look for a conversion chart online. Tight lines 🎣✨️
I was thinking it's Brittish thing. Yes, I am aware of conversions but it doesn't change the fact it's annoying/not very clever.
I love your videos !!!!!
Thanks.
This is fantastic, instant interested in this guy, so is trotting for roach (a very English thing) something you did in your country of origin, or have you taken it up since you have been here?
Yes, this rig is widely used through the Europe, just maybe 'shirt button' shotting style is unique to UK, I think.
Great video, thanks!
You're welcome!
You are I professional!!!
Thank you ✌
Well done and thank you for your time .
regards john
No worries
Clever, I like it!
Thanks 👍👍
Nice info thanks 👍
No problem 👍
Hi are your films on the trent at newark
Yes, this video was shot in Newark-on-Trent.
Hi Andrew what make of braid are useing for roach fishing?please
Please check video description.
hi andrew, awesome content!
Can I have some of your advice please?
I have a Drennan 2BB stick float but i am not sure how to shot it correctly.
How many shots do I need to add and of which size? I am very confused..
Thank you :)
I would guess 2 shots of BB or 0.8 g. To be fair, if a float I am looking to use hasn't got rating in universal/metric units (grams), then I would guesstimate it by putting as many number 8 shots as needed and would not look for conversions..
Thank you I will try it 😃👍🏼
8x4 = 8x no4 shot or 16xno8
Thanks.
Fair enough. 👌
...... or number 4 = 0.2g x 8. = 1.6g.
The old school of thought was a number 4 for every foot (30cm) of water. Therefore a 8x4 would be used in 8 foot of water as a rough guide.
Apologies I accidentally hit the thumbs down.......
Unless it's a pole float & it's 4x12 is style weights
Wwooowww... thts it... thts that
Thanks
