- 👉 Learn how to simplify expressions using the quotient rule of exponents. The quotient rule of exponents states that the quotient of powers with a common base is equivalent to the power with the common base and an exponent which is the difference of the exponents of the term in the numerator with the term in the denominator.

Learned more from you in 1 minute 45 seconds than I did throughout the entire 8th grade year.
i want to kill myself
That just means you’re smart, bcuz pre algebra is the norm at my school for 8th grade
@@kuromisarcade3725 we learn this first then pre-algebra where i go to school
ua-cam.com/video/j70ggj6yn7k/v-deo.html
@@kuromisarcade3725 I’m in Algebra 1 and in seventh grade ☹️
Everytime i look up a math vid this guy always pulls thrugh
what if those letters are numbers?
It’s not maths you need but English lmao
EXACTLY

This guy? You mean the legend himself!!
I breezed through math in school no problems and enlisted in a math heavy technical field, thought I was pretty solid on math till several years later going back to school soon and started looking over practice tests and realized I memory dumped everything I didn't regularly use, glad I started early on brushing up and feel soo fortunate to find helpful videos like these!
Not sure why some instructors make extra long explanations, then they say if you have a question quicker than you can even develop the questions before moving on. This was great learned more in 7mins than 1 hour plus in class 😅. Nice work!,
I learn more from youtube compared to my class and I have a good teacher.
Your exponent videos have helped me so much in algebra this year. I am thankful for UA-cam because I wouldn’t be able to survive high school without it, especially since my algebra teacher doesn’t understand how to properly teach a class. Thank you so much.........
Thank you so much! I have a test tomorrow and I still don’t get it 100% but I understand it more than I did.
this is late but how did it go😂
@@pink3984 i don’t really remember lol but i graduated so i think good
@@syd4793 I thought u wouldn’t respond lol but thanks for responding
OMFG! I literally spent 73 dollars yesterday for someone to tutor me on this and you just taught me what she couldn't in 1 min and 36 sec!!!!! I LOVE YOU!
you are the only reason I am passing algebra this year. Never stop making videos! you are a great teacher. First time I actually smiled learning the rules of exponents lol
8th-grade math is so hard man not looking forward to the test tomorrow at least I know my stuff
Dont worry it gets harder
wait til highschool
8th grade math is child's play wait until you get into 11th it is ten times harder
I'm in IM 6 and learning this stuff.
@@jacqueline6780 Where I live, high-school starts with grade 8
I still can never figure out why most math classes aren’t taught in this format. I just absorbed more information in this eight minute video than I did in an entire semesters worth of Algebra in Freshman year. I wish more teachers taught in this format. It is much more digestible.
This was more informative than all of my high school and college explanations. Loved how simple you made it to understand.
So happy to be able to help you out!!
I have basically been out of it all of math class but I thought i understood, then I go todo my homework and I’m very wrong. I have taken it into my own hands to figure it out in a less confusing way then I was taught. I felt so powerful actually knowing what to do next! My favorite part was when you split the numerical values from each of the exponents, it helped give me a new perspective, Thank you!
Awesome explanation for IB students! Thank you!
I stopped learning algebra a few years ago and now i'm "refreshing" my memory trying to learn it again. I just found this video and it's great. I learned pretty quickly but i'm still confused on the 2nd and 3rd problems of the video when he rewrites the negative exponents as positive. That part was confusing when he puts the 1 on the denominator and when he simplifies the problem to get the answer. Anyway, I'm glad I found this video to help me out. :)
This video saved me.... I've been struggling in College Algebra and this has been EXTREMELY helpful- thank you!
I’m five years late, i know, but i have a test tomorrow about this and other stuff. I understand it all except for this, but i now understand it after watching your video! Thank you so much, it really helped.
I'm studying for online lol I literally forgot everything
When a University teacher doesn't teach you this in class and gives you a quiz the next day... So you wake up after high fever at 3am and go on UA-cam to learn this stuff. #webassignsucks #tuitionscam #paidtuitiontoteachmyself
Ralf Tech fuck school
Ralf Tech for real. My freshman teacher never taught me any of this, so when I started sophomore year, my math teacher gave me a crap load of assignments based on this even though he never taught us it as well. What gives??
BROO I’m learning this in 8th gradeeee
Bullshit. I'm in algebra 1 and my teacher taught us this. I'm only here because I have a test in 2 days and I don't understand
Taylor Green i’m in 10th grade and barely learning this stuff
if only all our teachers were as patient and clear and thorough as brian
I like that you cover all the bases right off of the bat, unlike a lot of worksheets. the four questions are all something new to the formula, like what if it ends as a negative, what if it ends as a zero, what if it starts as a negative? All of these were questions I had and you definitely helped
My teacher was teaching in a more confusing way- I like that this guy makes the methods easy.
Well I just saw an Ad telling us that yt math vids aren't good
Same
THANK YOU! using this for special education students.
Thank you soooooooo much! I had no idea what I was doing before this. Ur the best!
man brian mclogan saves me every single time
thank you for these examples it really help me a lot because I am really confuse when the exponent in the denominator is higher than the exponent of the numerator
gotcha, yea it takes some practice, keep working at it, it will get easier
Thanks for the help this will definetly help me in my midterms!
this is so useful my teacher was explaining it so different and this makes so much more sense thank you Mr. McLogan
Thank you so much I struggled a lot with this particular subject and I got a test tomorrow and one of the topics is this, now i have a much better understanding of this topic thank you:)
Well this one is the shortest in much simpler video that was explained more than 10 mins. sometimes 1 hour. Thank you so much for this video I really appreciate it
This morning I had a small meltdown over being stuck on this material. This video just helped me *so much*. It's starting to click. Thank you!!
you are a life saver. I watched this video right before my test and there was a question just like this.
thank you for making these videos you explain it so well!!
Omg you are an amazing teacher!
Thank you so much, I've been struggling with this topic for a long time.
You broke it down so well! I just would hope that ETS would give easier exponent questions in standardized testing. They make everything so complicated!!!
The way you explained this better in 8 minutes than my algebra teacher did in 45...
Thank you delta math explanations were really tripping me up but you really made it clear great job
Thank you for the video! Real helpful. However, in the 3rd example isn't the answer 2/3b? Because I think you forgot to apply the reciprocal for it in order to make "b" positive.
Missed out on this during 8th grade because of covid. We’re using it now in 11th, but she assumed we already learned it. You’re the only reason I’m passing. Thank you.
College math at 43 is tough.. every time I’m struggling this is where I come.. your calling in life is definitely teaching Math.. you have helped me more than you know and I’m so thankful for you taking the time to share all these helpful videos with all of us.. Thank you
So happy to be there for you!! Keep up the great work
Finally I am able to teach my son properly.... thanks mate
I loved the exponential M&M's he had there for a second (7:09)
Really helpful thanks I understand know!
Once again you have saved my sorry behind from failing algebra.
Thank you so much. Good examples.
Thank you sir for this awesome vid. Very clear explanation! Tc sir!
He sure had a lot of fun simplifying those!
First time a video acc helped me understand maths. genuinely thank you
Who else forgot and is just reviewing
Thanks I understand now
I wish Brian Mclagan a very nice evening
THIS MAN IS A LEGEND I KNOW MORE FROM HIM THAN MY ACTUAL TEACHER LITERAL LIFESAVER THANK YOU
Thanks, great explanation for review
I'm currently in 10th grade but I'm a little confused with these sorts of math problems, so I came to this video just to helped me understand them better. Thanks a lot
This was very easy to understand. I get it now. 👌
i like how they left the solutions up after he got off camera, so we could take a screen image
POV: Your in 8th grade and the algebra 1 eoc is in a few weeks, and even though you participated and did everything you needed to do you still couldn't really grasp the basics of algebra when taught.
Edit: I just finished the EOC :D. It was kind of challenging but I knew the majority of material
Uuuuhhhhhhhh
did u say algebra 😢
You are an amazing teacher. Thank you
You are very welcome!!
Thanks man, this helped a lot.
I wish that this kinda of videos existed when i was in school 😭
Eres un buen profesor.
absolutely helpful thank you
I could get through high school and college JUST with this guy
This is how im getting through covid school lol ;-;
Sadie M :D same I have my algebra EOC in an hour I’m about to leave for school!
The sole reason these video tutorials work is because when my dumbass spaces out like how it does in class I can just rewind while in the real world I'm just screwed
These videos 🙏 Saving my Algebra grade
I wish you was my teacher I never learned this when I was in school
On problem 2, why did you multiply 1/3 for Y too? Isn't the1/3 the variable for X? Thanks in advance.
axy is the same thing as a * x * y which is the same thing as a * y * x and so on.
Sir can you the Finding The LCD og Rational Algebraic Expression
I am struggling in year 8. So this really helps
year 8 was really hard for me too, you get the hang of it after a while, I'm in year 10 right now 😅
algebra rip
the sound of the marker tapping is so satisfying
Thank you very much sir. THANK YOU!!😁
Came in clutch for finals, great video
Thank you for the effort. It made the thing soooo easy...
Glad to hear that!
That was really helpful
Thanks Teacher I never learn this when I was in school. My goal get my GED ( or you can say High School Diploma) I'm ready to get my high school diploma 🎓
Thank you brother
this was helpful..thank you
I have a unit test tomorrow and I hope this will help..
thanks for sharing
You are the best man ❤️
imagine sitting in class with him then watching him at home for homework.
Lol it's bad for u
Thanks alot man this helped me so much
Great is the work being done
dude u are a legend
Thank you so much this was helpful
bro does everything so clearly better then my math teachers
Omg literally the best teacher ever
It’s the
Quotient property of exponents
and
Product property of powers.
I feel like being more specific about it would be helpful in the videos
Agree
i love u man. omg the amount of times he has helped me
Thank you so much my teacher makes everything more confusing than it needs to be your are the reason my math grade is an A
Well explained..........
Thanks 🙏
The last part! How did you group the ns and ms cos in the question nm and mn!
8 yrs later and this man is still helping people pass😭
You're very good 👍
thank you so much
mr.clean
On the last problem, why couldn’t you subtract and flip like the one before? So I got 2m5/3n instead of 2m9/3n5?
This helps me so much
When you just got a 47 on your math quiz and have to study for the next test....
i feel called out-
