How to make a Welding Cart with a table

- In this video I will be making a welding cart with an extending welding table. This is an ideal project if you are just beginning to weld because it works as a cart for your welder and you can also use it as a welding table.
Other project plans are available to download at Gumroad.com. I will be updating soon with more products.

Good job man. Im Going to attempt this project .
Thank you and good luck!
Dude, solid! You fab’d up a nice project there bro. I weld/fabricate in the aerospace industry and this video goes to show you can get great ideas from someone like you having fun🤟 Definitely keep doing metal work..you seem to have the eye.
Wow aerospace is awesome! Thank you so much for those kind words. I will definitely continue doing metal work.
1 question before i attack this very good idea is there anything or things you wished u did different or bigger ? Thanks for idea
Hi Mike, thank you watching! and for your question. Since i am a novice welder and still learning the ropes, i have little input to what i want to include in the design. Perhaps i would add a drawer in the bottom section of the cart to place and hold grinding wheels and gloves.
Great video bro and good build 💯just be careful with those harbor freight cutoff wheels man. I love harbor freight but the cutoff wheels are one of those things there I would never touch again.
hello very beautiful creation I would like to have the measurements in order to do the same thank you
Awesome build and the orange & black is a nice color contrast. For a first project I think you did really well and wish you a great future welding.
Hi Mike, thank you so much for your kind words!
very cool 😁
For those who are on the cheap, bed frames is a good source of angle iron. Weld two together, got yourself a tube. Buying steel new, many projects end up being a wash with cost. Cool table, saving this vid for later
You are absolutely correct, prices have been fluctuating during these years and using re-purposed metals are the way to go!
@@thebackyardmaker1214 now what i really need is some repurposed aluminum square tubing 🤔
Nice cart. I’m building my second cart (the first one is barely functional, lol), so I’ll be using some of your ideas from the folding table. One major difference is I’ll be using 1/4” for my tops. I’m concerned your sheet metal will absorb too much heat from your projects and start warping the top.
Also, just make the jump to stick welding too. Watch some videos and within a dozen practice welds or less, you’ll be happy with the results. The only really tricky part is consistently striking an arc in the beginning.
Anyway, good job! 👍🏻
Hi Tyvan, thank you for watching! And I agree with you, I might change the sheet metal to a thicker gauge, I didn't think I was going to continue welding for this long lol. Thank you for the suggestion on stick welding, I will definitely try that!
Nice job.
It looks like something I (a woodworker with limited welding skills!) could have a go at.
Thanks for taking the time to upload the video.
All the best from Australia.
Hi Doc! Thank you so much for your comment. Best of luck to you!
Nice cart, fairly simple design, not a lot of miter cuts to deal with, that always makes things easier to cut and fit up. You got me thinking!!
Thank you so much. Yes, feel free to try it out!
Hi, Do you have the digital plans of this cart ? I don’t find it
Plans or blueprint for this project?
Bonjour TheBackyardMaker, félicitation pour votre oeuvre, où est-il possible de me fournir le plan avec les mesures et dimensions de votre ouvrage ?
Great job Jesse. I've been thinking about a project like this. You did a good job at thinking his out and building it. Have you used it much? Have you made any changes since you built it? I've been thinking about some holes to add filler-rod holders and an semi-circular bracket to hold my tank too. Thanks again.
Hi there Barry, Apologies for the late reply. This cart has been one the most used items within my tool inventory. I absolutely love it and use it as much as i can for its versatility. I haven't modified since, yet id probably add some sort of welding gun holder to it. Thanks again for your comment.
Awesome job man!
Good job, love that folding top design. I have been flux core welding for about 30yrs. I filled my CO2/Argon tank once, years ago. Haven't done it since. I might swap it for pure Argon to try aluminum with my new welder. The only advantage I see to using gas, is easier clean up. I am not a certified welder, but have done a LOT of projects over the years. None have failed yet. Keep up the good work.
Nice work - gave me some inspiration for my own cart build, which also has a drop down table like yours.
That's great Marcus, good luck!
Can uou please upload the plans for tis cart thanks
Yes, will do as soon as possible.
I subscribed to your website, but don't see the plans, can I get the measurements for each part please and thank you.
Awesome vid! I am about to make a welding cart and was going to make a mount for my portable welding table but I just may do a fold out instead! thanks to you. awesome job man
Hi Chadwick, I am so glad this video created another option for your welding table needs Good luck to you!
Mui bue no
hello, i like what you are doing, but unfortunately i don't understand english, if you put the dimensions on the video it will help me to do this work... thanks.
I wrote this thanks to Google
I'm starting to assemble the materials and build a similar one; I like it very much, I have a small room so it will be perfect. Thank you and best regards from Poland.
Отличное изделие!
Я тоже хочу сделать аналогичную сварочную тележку со складным столом!
Great work 👌
Thank you so much Christoph!
Really good job...excellent video
Thank you Mark!
Simple but functional. Good job.
Do u have the measurement or google sketchup plan?
Nice 👍🏻👍🏻 🇮🇳 Kuki 09|07|2022.
Круто получилось, жаль раньше не увидел тебя)
Excellent job thank you
Love your video and I really love your design
Is it possible to make that table with stick welder?
Absolutely! To be completely honest I've never stick welded before, but I believe you can start off by trying a 1/16 6011 rod, and run the welder around 40amps to weld 16 gauge steel.
@@thebackyardmaker1214 I agree with what you are saying, or even a 6013- 1/6 rod might be a better choice. Its actually tedious and is easy to blow a hole, but if you weld like maybe half inch at a time or just stop when you see your puddle start to get too big. 30-40 amps yeah would be good.
Excellent design and execution!
Good job think I might copy it if you don't mind
Not bad at all!
Thank you so much!
สวยงามใช้งานได้ดี❤
Super cool project! But is it ok to use wood on a welding table? From a fire safety point of view?
Hi Johnny! I was also a little skeptical about using plywood but thankfully I haven't experienced any issues with it. Although, I may consider replacing it with a metal surface for fire safety. Thank you for your comment!
Cool 🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨
Very nice job
Very Nice!!! 👍
Nice job!!!
Nice!!
Nice job!
You make it look so easy, you got me thinking I want to start welding too.
Thank you!
Very good design and great job!
thank you so much!
