You all knew this was coming. "Reach for the Stars" from Sonic Colors mixed with the orchestral version used in the second phase of the game's final boss.
Knowing I was treading predictable ground, I had to be very conscious of quality on this one. I considered waiting for the official soundtrack (two weeks away from now), but I didn't want to be beat out by others who have also caught on to this crazy Sonic mashup subdivision of UA-cam.
The composers didn't make it easy, though. Unlike Endless Possibility, which could be played together almost perfectly, we have to bend over backwards to make the best possible mashup of these two versions. I spent many hours on this, making sure the sequencing and sound balance were satisfactory. After starting from scratch three different times, I think this one's the winner.
By the way, Sonic Colors is a really good game. No, really. Go get it.
This. This is actual anime boss music. I love stuff like this where the main theme gets incorporated into the "final boss" music. Just pure joy. It always puts such a huge grin on my face, because it just gives off a feeling like, *_"We worked super hard and put our lives on the line to get here, we're not giving up now. We can do this, I'm sure we can!"_* It just warms my heart so much.
I think that kind of thing was also done in 06 and Unleashed.

Amazing mashup for an amazing game.
There are 7 (Wii) and 5 (DS) used in-game overall. Shared between the two versions are Laser, Rocket, and Drill, with Hover, Cube, Spikes, and Frenzy being unique to the Wii version, and Burst & Void being unique to the DS version. That's a total of 9 powers. Subtract the 2 Nega Wisps and you get as many wisp powers as there are Chaos Emeralds.
Digest THAT math for a bit.
Okay so basically....
Most Sonic games = Chaos Emeralds
Sonic Rush = Sol Emeralds
Sonic 3 = Super Emeralds
Sonic Colors = Wisps(Excluding the Nega Wisps as you say ot.)
As these are the stuff I remember that transforms Sonic(Sol Emeralds for Blaze.), I am going to wonder if the next Sonic Game is going to have another Chaos Emeralds case.
This aged like milk when you look at the games that came out since.

My favorite final boss theme ever since I never finished unleashed on the wii and never played the earlier games. This is also my favorite game and final boss even though the dark queen and death egg robot(forces) are close seconds for me. Although it's short It's still epic and awesome.
