We used to have the 3 sister springs to ourselves back in the good ole days....it was wild and natural without the boardwalk...same as most of the springs around here...oh well..thars life!...Fishing is still good!
Watching this enviously from the UK, visited your area on vacation many times since 1982 but only been as far north as Tarpon Springs, but Crystal River area looks very tempting. Nice change for you JC. 👍

Was actually really hoping that it was kind of like a sightseeing video of the area. That's what I need to see. I've been down here in Florida for 7 years now, and hardly got to see any of it because of being on disability. Don't get me wrong JC, this is a good video if I wanted to find out about restaurants in the area, but I was kind of hoping for something different. Maybe next time. Peace brother! TGBTG!!!
Thanks for watching. I think the springs are the main attraction in the area during the winter because of the Manatee migration. There are a lot of kayak rentals and you can swim with the Manatees, other than that I think the archeological park I went to is about the other main attraction in the area.

What do you use to cover your kayak from the our hot summer sun here in Florida? I also have an old town sportsman and it’s currently sitting out in the yard on a jet ski covered by a boat canvas that is rotting.

Great video! The crab plant is awesome. Your pick three Is my choice at the crab plant. The shallow water gag grouper fishing is off the hook. Biscuit barn and grannies are my breakfast choices. I have a 3/2 condo right on the river off fort Island trail. I catch redfish, black drum, speckled trout, mangrove snapper, gar and an occasional largemouth bass in the back yard. Message me if you visit Crystal River in the future jc.

Crab Plant, Seafood Sellers (our favorite), Crump's are all great places to eat in CR, except on Monday, all three are closed.

Mines uncovered outside, but it's under a huge oak tree, gets hardly any direct sunlight.
