Love hearing these stories from colorsound .and sola sound . Definitely the best guitar effects pedal maker and innovator of guitar pedals. Had octivider in the 70s always thought it was a brilliant pedal . Looking to get another now .thanks

I believe, to the best of my knowledge, that Jimmy Page also used a Colorsound Octivider on the sub-octave overdubs that he added to the live recording of “We’re Gonna Groove” from the January 1970 Royal Albert Hall appearance of Led Zeppelin. These overdubs were added in 1982 for the version of “We’re Gonna Groove” that appeared on the ‘Coda’ album.
@@macaris_official I’m glad to point in that direction! Jimmy even refers to it as “sub-octivider” in the liner notes on ‘Coda’ in the entry on “We’re Gonna Groove”. It’s an oddly specific term given that there were other products on the market in the seventies and early eighties that gave a low octave sound…saying “Sub Octivider” is pretty much hitting the nail squarely on the head to my mind!
Well, I was talking to my buddy earlier, yesterday- I'm up late 😸 and the determination was made that I needed to get him an Octave Pedal. (Shhh, he doesn't know.) I had one in mind, but then there is a reason why I subscribed to the Macari's Channel, amirite? Anyway, believe me I'm not trying to hoard your stuff if I order two of them okay? I didn't know that this sound was the uncommon tone, I think it was the kind that I was hearing in my head already.
@@macaris_official Well, the Banker's interface beat me down, so I ended up getting one shipped here (you've re-stocked) but hopefully you will have another still when the Eagle flies in a few weeks and I can use my more compliant Plastic and get one shipped direct to Canada, so I can go ahead and keep one for me already. (my bud has priority, he is celebrating the Year Of The Octave, or he has been in the Year Of The Octave and is about to finally celebrate since this is the Octave Of the Year.) Anyways, thanks! 😸
