Cool oldtimers! I knew a guy he used to come to france in the summer, he was the mech guy of a Manchester airplane during the WWII. They shot the plane down and while they stalled they released a pigeon in a cage who flew home. The bird flew back to england from germany and his folks thought he was dead. He got to be prisoner in a camp till the end of the war. He got the same accent :D cheers!
Another interesting video Fred. The radar tower didn't seem to affect you very much. Good to hear you got another local contact.You thought John's accent was difficult?. lucky it wasn't my Scottish accent, that's even worse. I understood every word, proper Norfolk that Breaker was. Fred you got to do a bit of waiting when calling CQ in Norfolk, many radios in tractors and it might take a while for an ol'boy to get back in the cab or in there BaRRRRRn to answer you see. An its ARrrr knees, they arn't what they used to be, and my Radio, well that woz new once that woz. Any how, must dash, I gotta put the chickens up you see cause there be a fox about, I see it this morning I did, young'un it be...........(ToT(made for Norfolk).
Someday I will have another sideband radio I had a heart attack three years ago and when I came home all my radio equipment what's going on I'm on social security right now. But someday I will have another radio.. I'm currently using Zillo on 27.350 cb chat

hi Fred nice video.i am getting back into 11m after a break of 30yrs.so your preference between crt9900 or president grant 2. I'll be using rig mobile on a van hoping to catch some dx. cheers for any pointers
Hey Fred did you find with the superstar 9900 is off frequency slightly ?, I have been fiddling around with the clarifier for tx and rx, so not sure if I have knocked it off slightly as some stations rx say when I am on say 27.650 I could actually be 27.651, I might have knocked the clarifer tx off slightly, also it does get very hot.
