You are absolutely the best at ride reviews. Anyone who can ride an unfamiliar bike and speak as coherently and clearly as you is blessed with great multitasking ability. Thanks for the review.
I have a 2010 Yamaha FJR 1300, and I really like it. The biggest reason I didn't get a Concours is because the Kawasaki's seat height was 1" higher than the FJR. (I have a 30" inseam, so a 31" seat height is about as high as I can handle.) The 2016 FJR now has six speeds, throttle by wire, electronic cruise control, and an available electronic-adjustable suspension.
It has a full on "ECO" mode... You hold in the mode switch and it cuts the fueling by 20%... I have gotten 52mpg at highway cruising speeds of around 90 ish.
As a former owner of a Gen II FJR and a current owner of a 2016 Gen III, I have a couple of comments. Kawasaki has always built the best shifting transmissions in the business, but now the Gen III FJR six speed is now right up to par with Kawi. It is just like how you described the C14 shifts, "smooth as butter". Secondly, I guess seats are a matter of opinion. I love the FJR seat, all day comfortable as far as I'm concerned. As I said though, this is very subjective. One more thing, the big Kawi needs a factory cruise control to be truly competitive in the current ST segment. Great review, thank you for posting.
As a current Kawasaki owner, smooth isn't a term I would use to describe the transmission on mine, but I have a Versys not a Connie. The Versys shifts with the same clunk as the Ninja 650 that its motor comes from, you also have to make sure the shifter resets, one of the Versys biggest problems is not shifting when you're trying to bang down the gears coming to a stop. My previous bikes were a Honda and a Suzuki and both shifted smoother, the Suzuki especially was absolutely butter smooth. I have test ridden a 2015 FJR with the old 5 speed, the transmission is very smooth, that VERY loud clunk when you shift is just noise, you don't feel it.
A 150 lb. guy might have a different opinion of a seat than a 250 lb. guy... And I currently ride a 2016 Ninja 650, so I understand people describing the trans as "clunky." Mine was noticeably so at first, but it's a lot smoother now that I'm more used to the bike. It IS a budget bike, so I don't expect it to be as refined as one that costs twice as much. I have only ridden the new 6 speed FJR, but I can confirm that it is very smooth without a comparison to the previous incarnation. I don't really want or need a lot of high tech electronics, so I have to ride a few more bikes before I decide, but if none impress me to the same degree as the FJR (which I find aesthetically pleasing as well), I'll happily pay a little more for it.
These reviews kill me. Compare a 15000 dollar bike (which you can actually find much cheaper) to bikes that are 20-25000 dollars and complain about what it doesn't have. You know what it DOES have? Reliability. They last and you don't have to worry about being stranded on the roadside in the middle of nowhere. You can upgrade the seat and the bars and add a few other things and it's a great touring bike. I know people Love the FJR and I know it's a great bike. But I don't like it. Everyone is so worried about whether it's got buttons and modes and crap. "Oh it needs an upgrade because it doesn't have that"... no it doesn't. They are doing it right. It's not meant to be an electronic marvel. It's meant to work. A lot of BMW's get returned because people get caught up in the electronics and realize it doesn't necessarily make the bike right for the rider. The GTR is a great bike. And you can own it without breaking your wallet.

Another great review. The way you review the FJR and the Concours it really is about taking a test ride and making the decision for yourself. So I did and noticed the same things your were talking about. Although the acceleration on the FJR is more Sport touring and the Concours is more Sport bike like. So now your simply trading a more comfortable seat for cruise control. Electronic suspension for additional price, which you could use to purchase one of the best suspensions out there. So as you have said take a test ride and decide for yourself.
The eco mode on the Concours does actually go to a leaner ECU mapping. I would get about 2-3 better MPGs in that mode. It would automatically disable above I think 6k RPM or above half throttle.

Very good first ride review! (as usual). I was suprised to see that it performed as close to the fjr as it did but I think the fjr has alot better look to it and the electronic suspension puts it over the top for me.
I have a 09 that remarkably has most of the heart and soul of the “updated” C14’s. Runs warm only issue but when chilly out it’s a bonus! In summer ride early!
I had an FJR1300 (as well as a ‘93 FJ1200ABS), loved em both. I wanted to try something new to me, got a 2011 Concours14. Loving it this far. She’s fast, stable and I kinda like the lack of over complicated electronics(suspension especially). I have ridden all over the country without cruise control, I like it but it’s not a deal killer for me and the price was right for the performance. The FJR & Kwai are both are so sweet! Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down!
i also have a 2016 C14, put a two Brothers can and will soon be getting my ECU Flashed by Ivan. I only paid $12499 right out the crate. The FJR is way more money. Cruise would be nice but not $ 5000 nice!!!
Well I have a 2016 FJR1300 now. Got a smoking deal, probably could have gotten similar on C14 though. FJR updates are significant, love LED lights, 6spd, slip-asst clutch. Didn't get ES don't need it, use the cruise control more every time I ride mostly bc the handlebars are too low (allows me to sit back a bit and relax my grip) and yeah the stock seat blows, so does the windscreen, easily changed. Love the massive low end torque, but it doesn't have much of a top end. Would love to ride a C14, especially 2015+ to compare. I think the Kawi offers at least a couple advantages.
Brian, good review. I also live in your neck of the woods. I own a 2012 Connie. I chose it over the FJR because the Connie fits me better and it has a better motor. In choosing the Connie, I was looking for reliability and performance. The stock Connie will have to the rear wheel 135hp and 91 lb.ft. of torque. It is capable of 2.9 sec from 0-60mph and 6.6 sec to 100mph. Top speed - 155. The stock FJR is 121hp, 86 lb.ft of torque, 3.3 sec 0-60mph, and 7.7 sec to 100mph. Top speed - 146. In order to make the Connie my own, I added a National Cycle Vstream windshield, Sargent World Sport Performance seat, Two Brothers can, K&N air filter, PCV, and Healtech GIPro ATRE. The Healtech tricks the ECU into thinking that the bike is always in 6th gear, thus, the secondary butterflies are always open. This allows instant power in all RPM ranges - amazing transformation when compared to stock below 3,000 RPM. In this configuration, the bike is truly a jet. The bike will deliver 150+hp and 105 lb.ft. of torque. In order to alleviate the nose dive, just dial in the suspension. I also believe that the Connie has better wind protection and brakes than the FJR. Just one man's opinion.
I own a 2013 I bought new last year and I love it and it has a fuel economy mode that on the instrument switch you have to hold it in to activate it. I avg at least 42-46 on the highway and I hope thwy upgrade this bike cause I would buy another if they upgrade it to cruise control.
+Garland Holland That's just an ECU/ignition mode, not at all the same as throttle modes of other bikes with ride by wire. They not only alter that but how the throttle responds, how fast it ramps up, the actual curve etc. like changing the cable cam. And of course you get cruise control with it too ;)
First, I purchased a 2014 model last year "0 miles" $10,748, FJR almost double the price, I'll keep the change thank you. If your FOB battery goes dead no problem, Kawasaki engineering thought of that also you can still ride. Low rpm hp, is due to VVT, controlled by engine oil pressure, want to go fast? Twist Right Hand more, will exceed MPH on speedometer. Spend 15 minutes on a test ride, outside of a structured group, then you will have an unbiased opinion. Thank you...
You neglected to mention that the ES, heated grips, and cruise control boost the price of the FJR significantly, so the question becomes "how much are these things worth to you?" I rode the FJR, and loved it, but I'm also looking at the Concourse, Ninja 1000, and Versys. I rode a bunch of Baggers, including HDs and a Star Venture, but while they ARE nice bikes, they failed to excite me. The FJR was my first demo on a sport touring bike, and I haven't tried any others yet, but I believe I have found my segment and narrowed my search considerably. I just want to be reasonably comfortable on longer trips without sacrificing too much performance. I would choose to sit on a 2x4 before I would ride a slow bike with no lean angle, or even a fast one that won't corner, but I still prefer not to have to sit on a 2x4.
That was the most detailed comparision of GTR and FJR. Many thanks. I have FJR MY15 and after that i would choose FJR again in a pricewise and electronic suspension and drive modes pluses.
It's a six speed. The engine and transmission are smoother than the FJR. I owned both a FJR and this C14 the same time. A ZX14 Seat slips right on and was much better for me.
I am so glad that I am an old school rider who started riding in 1974 on a Honda 305 Superhawk. Have had 40 bikes since then (yes, I am a Bike Whore officially) and small things mean nothing to me. OD or not, 5 or 6 spd doesn't matter, cruise control is for limp wrist riders, seats can be redone or replaced or just lived with if you do squats. Digital read outs are for computer geeks who have to have the latest "fashion toy" to play with. All those electronic gadgets just mean people spend less time enjoying the ride and looking at a "wannabee" computer on their bike. Music? Nope, the little guy in my head knows Creedence Clearwater Revival songs just fine! I guess that is what living in the field for months on end, over 10 years, in the US Army does to one's need for comfort. Vietnam vet with 3 tours in Korea = enjoy life don't worry about the small stuff. Very good review brother.
How is the heat dissipation? I've heard from some Moto journalists that the C14 directs a lot of heat to the rider, and can be uncomfortable in stop and go traffic on a hot day.
Nonsense...... If you need cruise control you must be limp wristed... I rode bikes for bloody years, never needed cruise control or felt the need for it. All this electronic nonsense will someday let you down.....
I owned a 2016 FJR1300 and loved it. The updates were significant and needed. I am considering a C14 for several reasons including availability, heavily discounts, and includes a 36 month warranty. I think the only things I would miss from the FJR are cruise control and full LED lighting. A ZX-14R is also in consideration as a far more exciting sport tourer, which it actually is marketed as in Europe. Need to do a test ride somehow. The 2015 update to the C14 was the last update and sadly it wasn’t as comprehensive as the 2016 FJR update. But both bikes are now on their way out and won’t be updated again.
Good review the only thing I didn’t agree on was the speedometer comment you can definitely put that need all up agented that’s why they call them the Hyabusa killer 15:28
I'm not sure how often you read, or respond to comments on your videos, but could you perhaps someday demo a Triumph Trophy SE? I'm curious to see how that bike stacks up against both the Yamaha, and Kawasaki.
I actually like the FJ more than the Kawi. Rode both. It's like choosing a Ford or Chevy. Neither is not a bad choice by any stretch of the imagination
I test rode the Kawasaki GTR1400 (Concours) in 2012. I didn't like the stock screen as it was too low for me. One thing that let's the bike down for me is that awful single exhaust pipe! I prefer to have twin rear silencers on a bike. Great review as usual.
Yup. She starting to show it's age. I hope KHI has in store a revamp soon. Even the ZX-14 got an updated engine. This thing could use a sprinkle of all the latest and greatest gizmos. Both cams VVT, electronic semi-active adjustable suspension, the 1441 mill from the Zed 14, LCD display, CruiseControl, (Heated Grips?) and probably some other stuff i can't remember now. Thanks for taking the time to review. It helps a lot when it comes to make informed "decisions". 👍
Agreed with the above comments plus I'd like to see an adjustable pitch to the handle bars as when I had my 2010 I found they were set too far back and gave me a sore wrist on the throttle hand side after a while.
Rafael Santos-Afan Indeed, you're correct but re-read what i wrote first and you'll see what I'm implying is that she's not up there anymore setting the bar, It's been too long, you rest in the after glow of your previous achievements you loose. Even the FJR1300 got updated (finally a 6th gear, there must be a God! LoL)again for 2016.
Depending on where you live... You can no longer buy a Concours. I have no Idea whether Kawasaki will continue the C-14 after 2018. So as far as updates go... it's not happening
Best bike for the money If you want a sport touring compared to BMW. I bought a 2016 for 11000. No cruise control not a deal breaker for me I'll take the heated grips
@@TexasMan77 It's perfect for daily commutes and shorter long trips if that makes any sense. I disagree with Todd above though on the comfort factor on longer trips, but then again I'm an older guy (60+). I rode my 2012 from L.A. to Vegas on weekend trips at least a half dozen times and it's perfect for that. But I found it tiresome on longer trips of 5 days or so. It has very sporty ergos, even with the Sargent seat and Murph risers I installed. Great bike though, just not comfortable enough for me.
I have this bike, 6th gear is close to 1:3, so your not going to get hard acceleration in 6th. You have to get the ECU flashed on these bikes to really make the perform great through all ranges.
you can add electronic cruise on the C14 for about 250$. kawasaki keeps the price lower by building a more basic bike. its a few thousand less than the FJR. the C14 drive shaft "lash" is practically non-existent compared to the ST or FJR. i live in LA and am currently shopping for new sport tourer. i also found the incentives and dealers offer to sell the C14 at a very reasonable price vs the FJR or ST. i have decided on the C14. my opinion is the C14 is a better bike and if you shop around you can get one for thousands less.
The C14 has a more sophisticated shaft drive than the FJR, which is a lot older than the C14 that is industry leading, the omission of cruise control is poor on the bike, sadly now discontinued in favour of the H2 SX, which is substantially dearer.
The Concours is still around for 2021. Still a fast bike too. Dump the heavy stock exhaust for an aftermarket and add an Ivan's Performance ECU tune. Those two simple mods make it faster yet, and MUCH more ridable and torquey. The H2 SX is a beautiful bike, but its also retails for $10K more than the Concours.
You're starting to make a believer out of me. I was a bit heart set on getting a Yamaha FJR 1300, more so for the baggage compartments, seat height, the sportiness and smoothness of it. FJR's fuel efficiency is measured at 36mph (combined highway/city - I feel like it should be better??) Anyway, still wrestling with the choice.

Connie is more sporty than the FJR, I had. Zx12r, then a FJR, I missed a lit my 12R, so I bought the Concours, is the FJR with the 12R engine and chassis, now I miss nothing and go very confortable and very very fast.
I was set on buying an FJR in the Spring but after researching the C14 l've decided to go with the Kawasaki. I'd be happy with either one but the C14 just itches my scratch a little more than the FJR.
The Connie seems like a natural base for the "Police" models Kawasaki makes (or made) as much of your review is reminiscent of the old KC1000C and KZP.
I just bought a 2015 leftover Fjr and for me I disagree about inseam and seat height. I have a 30” inseam and can almost flat foot the Fjr but I tippy toe on the Kawasaki. Seat on Fjr is a little more slim to me. I also think the hard bags are hideous looking on the Concours and no excuse to not have cruise control. Both are great bikes though.
Which would be more comfortable for a guy 6'2 that had only riden cruisers?? I absolutely hate the " crotch rocket " riding position on sport bikes. But I've always wanted to enjoy a fast 4 cylinder bike . I'm getting bored with big v twins. So I'm thinking about this and the Kawasaki Versys 1000. The 1000 seems to be more of a natural position and the 1400 seems to still lean more to a sport position . Is that accurate? My kawasami dealer never keeps any bikes in stock so I can't even look at them ugh. That is one good thing about Harley's they always have all their models in stock lol. Can't sell me a Kawasaki that you never have on the floor. But after watching your video I think verseys 1000 would be better for me. I like the dirt bike riding position sitting upright
Back in 1983 I was in the army an I bought a 1981Yamaha 650 Max 1an it was a good bike now I'm 64 years old how would a motorcycle work like that one for me
traded the 2005 fjr1300 for the 2008 concours 14 ...the kawi is head and shoulders above and beyond the yamaha. kawi has a 6 speed Overdrive...wake up!
I just bought a used one 2012 with 730 miles. love it but the stock seat for the 2012 sucks! pushes you into the tank. I ordered a custom corbin seat should be here in 3 weeks hope that helps? I have also added 2 inch bar risers as 6'4 it helps me not leaning forward and slightly down. Great bike! it was a toss up between this one and the fjr. I picked the kawasaki just because I like the look a tad better. Great review. thanks for your time in all you do!
+jarrit2375 I have a 2012 as well and added a Saddleman seat as I find the Corbins to be a little hard, a V-Stream windshield (huge improvement over the stock), and 1.5" risers (i.e. Murphs) and it made all the difference in the world. Good luck with yours.
Nice review but comparing it to the FJR you must really rev the bike to feel the difference and personally I think GTR has more engine, specially when you ride her hard. In regards to features many people (also in my country) speak about cruise control but in my country it is forbidden to take your hands off the bars unless you are signaling a maneuver so i guess a cramp buster does the job well. Regards
The advantage I've gathered is that a valve adjustment is due every 3k on the Connie, but only every 24k on the FJR. Oil changes are a snap as well as you can remove the filter from the left side of the bike. Don't you have to remove the bottom to get to the filter on the Connie? Seems well thought out for easier maintenance on the FJR.
I have ridden both bikes and agree with your comments on the test ride. For a big bike the Concours felt lighter to turn than I was expecting. Kawasaki's have always seemed to have a smoother shifting gearbox than Yamaha in my humble opinion. I have owned more than one of each makers bikes. I was expecting a little more juice during acceleration on the Concours as opposed to the FJR but I can't detect it. I would imagine that the Concours has more on the top end due to gearing and cc's but I don't ride up there. I own a FJR and love it and prefer it's looks. They are both great bikes.
They do have adjustable power modes too Brian, good review though, my 2010 had a k&n filter, two brothers juicebox fuel controller and two brothers slip on carbon can, the motor was an absolute pearler. The thing that really disappointed my about it though there was no compression adjustability on either end only preload and rebound, on a bike of this grade and price I thought it was pretty poor particularly that the ZX14 IS fully adjustable and they exactly the same units to look at. All in all though they are great bikes but in need of a proper refresh
The breaking icon is the circles and half moon shapes and you have to adjust while stopped. The K-act button controls that. the setting you described in video was the sport setting and and there is a less aggressive setting and eliminates the nose dive.
I bought the Kaoko for mine, Cap'n. Same, but different. While not a 'true' cruise control, more than meets my occasional needs, rather than spending $1000+ on an electronic cruise control.
Despite you being taller, your assessment of the narrow seat is spot on for shorter riders. The FJR is nearly un-ridable for me because of that width at the frame...the Concours is no problem and a very big difference even though it is technically higher. It is difficult to put yourself in a shorter (or taller) person's shoes and to be so correct about your assesement. I subscribed for that really insightful comment...
Pretty good review. I agree about the unusable space on the speedo. Pinning the throttle in 6th gear at 2,400 RPM is a novice move. Who stresses their engine like that? Take that out of your playbook and we'll all be smarter. Maintenance intervals and difficulty would make this review complete. Wheel removal? Fuel and compression ratio?
Drop down to 2nd at 50 mph and do a roll on with traction control off. You'll find our why they called this a cruise missile back in 2008! ;) Best kept sport touring deal going several years in a row

I was cringing myself every single time he was reading the display instead of looking at what's going on on the road.

I now own an 08 FJR, and had a 10 Concours prior... the FJR definitely pulls harder from lower RPMs... but the Connie is such a rocket above 4k RPM.
Best review yet. Very informative. Thanks
+R Fifield someone seems like they got pissey pants
Ummmm....................are you saying the Connie will exceed 190 mph?? LOL.
Nice thorough review of the C14. Can’t decide between this and the ZX14R.
A Babbit Best comment!
Good review 👍. Have you noticed any issues with the linked brakes, specifically while cornering? Thanks!
How is the heat dissipation? I've heard from some Moto journalists that the C14 directs a lot of heat to the rider, and can be uncomfortable in stop and go traffic on a hot day.
On the later models there are no heat problems at all
Get a 2010 or higher. They have the revised fairing.
Nice bike. Needs cruise control. Any bike used for touring should have it. Goldwings had it in the mid 80s.
I think the BMW K1200GT/K1300GT with the sideways engine i think has a similar setup to what you have in mind.
+JIGA BACHI The ZGGTR has VVT, DOHC, LCD Screen and analog gauges. It has traction control, abs and heated grips as well.
I've been waiting for a good review on that bike. Thank you.
I'm keeping my 08 zx 14 and adding a 2015 concourse ! Best of both worlds!
The ECO mode actually does change the mapping to a more efficient mode.
Best bike for the money If you want a sport touring compared to BMW. I bought a 2016 for 11000. No cruise control not a deal breaker for me I'll take the heated grips
Nice review .. could be my next bike. The ECU can be re-flashed to take care of the crappy low-rpm throttle response.
Can one travel on Concours 14 like a goldwing.. long distance all day rides ?
This is what it is made for. Did 6500 miles in 2.5 weeks. LOVED it. Superb wind/weather protection. Only beaten by bikes costing $10k more
@@toddeveretts5595 Thanks brother.
Todd Everetts How is it as a daily rider?
@@TexasMan77 It's perfect for daily commutes and shorter long trips if that makes any sense. I disagree with Todd above though on the comfort factor on longer trips, but then again I'm an older guy (60+). I rode my 2012 from L.A. to Vegas on weekend trips at least a half dozen times and it's perfect for that. But I found it tiresome on longer trips of 5 days or so. It has very sporty ergos, even with the Sargent seat and Murph risers I installed. Great bike though, just not comfortable enough for me.
For me it came down to the cruise control and electronic suspension. The FJR wins but only by a hair.
I have this bike, 6th gear is close to 1:3, so your not going to get hard acceleration in 6th. You have to get the ECU flashed on these bikes to really make the perform great through all ranges.
Excellent review! Many thanks for doing this...
So, which would you pick if you were in the market for a new bike now? 2016 FJR or Concours?
I'm torn & still deciding...After reading & watching countless hours of reviews, I'm leaning towards the FJR!
I just got a new 2017 with 0 miles! It’s awesome!
Why do these sell less than those rumbly slow cruisers!?
Rick Simpson 😂please give me a brake.!!! Harleys are for babies
you can add electronic cruise on the C14 for about 250$. kawasaki keeps the price lower by building a more basic bike. its a few thousand less than the FJR. the C14 drive shaft "lash" is practically non-existent compared to the ST or FJR. i live in LA and am currently shopping for new sport tourer. i also found the incentives and dealers offer to sell the C14 at a very reasonable price vs the FJR or ST. i have decided on the C14. my opinion is the C14 is a better bike and if you shop around you can get one for thousands less.
Correction: I should have said "efficiency is measured at 36 mpg" . . .
I bought this bike because of your review. May buy the Yamaha FJR 1300 next time.
Great review. I found it very helpful as I think about what I want to buy.
You say the newer FJR is faster? I'm having doubts.
You are 6.2", I am 5.73"... With the windscreen extended to its highest position, where is your line of sight with the top edge of the screen?
Back in 1983 I was in the army an I bought a 1981Yamaha 650 Max 1an it was a good bike now I'm 64 years old how would a motorcycle work like that one for me
traded the 2005 fjr1300 for the 2008 concours 14 ...the kawi is head and shoulders above and beyond the yamaha. kawi has a 6 speed Overdrive...wake up!
Ummmmmm.................................so does the FJR. Wake up!
Valve adjustments every 3k? It is at least every 16k.
Every 3000? That can't be true,
Nothing has to be removed from the Connie for oil changes. Everything is accessible without removing bodywork.
@@EEEBA1 They don't even call for oil changes every 3000 miles.
@@alanhassall I meant the valve check/adjustment, sorry.
Stock windscreen effectiveness abating flow and buffeting?
The FJR has 6 gears now....
The K-act button controls that. the setting you described in video was the sport setting and and there is a less aggressive setting and eliminates the nose dive.
the double rings indicate 1 up abs or 2 up abs
nice feedback and clear comms great work
hi
Just one question.
FJR 1300 Vs Kawasaki GTR?
:))
The fjr has quite a bit of refinements. But, the r1250rt is superior for sure.
Major job changing sparks plugs on the ZX.
+Howard Morton With Iridium plugs the interval is longer so no need to change as frequently.
no cruise control though
Get a Throttlemeister twist locker for the end of the grip, they work great.
I bought the Kaoko for mine, Cap'n. Same, but different. While not a 'true' cruise control, more than meets my occasional needs, rather than spending $1000+ on an electronic cruise control.
Damn it sucks These aren't made after '22 now., I wonder what the equivalent to this would be in any make now.
GREAT INFO! Very good review. Thanks
Professional review, much thanks
Very good review nice work!!!
The double zeros are linked brakes.
The more I think about it, Concours should have at least 1398 c.c.'s . It is, after all, a 1400?
Sheech, do you own a FJR by any chance?
Yes, he's on his 2nd or 3rd.
I may end up buying a 2019 model..$13,000 is hard to turn away...
Nice job good video and review
Good, detailed review 👍
Pretty good review. I agree about the unusable space on the speedo. Pinning the throttle in 6th gear at 2,400 RPM is a novice move. Who stresses their engine like that? Take that out of your playbook and we'll all be smarter. Maintenance intervals and difficulty would make this review complete. Wheel removal? Fuel and compression ratio?
What is "Ride by wire"?
Electronic servo throttle, not direct cable.
Awesome review :)
Great review. Love the Concours. Maybe outdated on electronics but would be a long lasting bike if taken care of with regular maintenance.
Those Traffic lights take forever
Another great review, thanks!
Im on my 2nd Conny 14, they are great durable bikes
11:24 ... if that is a corner, it must be in the US :-)
I looked at the Kawi while is still rode a Goldwing. And did not like it enough to let go of the Wing. As a matter of fact. I ride an MV now days
According to the Kawasaki manual, horsepower is reduced when in ECO mode.
The simplicity makes it a great bike.!!!
there is NO excuse for not having throttle by wire/cruise control on a touring bike in 2016. deal breaker.
it's due for a refresh. definitely
Yep!
Sure there is.... It's called your bike isn't a big seller worthy of giving it an update.
I like it because it is simpler. I installed a cruise control from MC cruise fro Australia. It isn't cheap, but it is extremely plug and play.
Thanks for uploading this.
Drop down to 2nd at 50 mph and do a roll on with traction control off. You'll find our why they called this a cruise missile back in 2008! ;) Best kept sport touring deal going several years in a row
Nice review
