I don't care if she was racist; birds of a feather. She still has to live in a society and there are laws and rules for a reason. No one is above the law. I'm an old lady too, and once when I had problems with neighbor kids, I BAKED THEM WHOOPIE PIES. Told them that my dogs were in trouble for barking because the kids were knocking on the fence and asked them to help me keep my dogs from getting into trouble. I made them swear to tell their mothers where they got the whoopie pies and to ask permission before eating them, and you know what??????The kids responded so well. They stopped aggravating my dogs and even picked up trash that blew into my own yard. Love them. This old woman was calculated in what she was doing. She deserves what she got.
When the neighborhood kids play outside in the yard of our apartment complex we go out and play with them. I give them snacks and ask how they're doing in school. I love seeing children play outside instead of sitting in front of the TV

I get a sense that woman was setting up a situation to use the gun that way, so when this happened she would look like a victim while getting away with it. She kind of did.
Wooow! I’m just amazed at her behavior. From the sounds n looks of things, it appears she hates herself n everything around her as well. She’s racist! She lives around a variety of people from varied backgrounds. But she doesn’t care! If she could’ve afforded to move, would’ve been gone. But I’m guessing she can’t. So in her mindset everyone is the aggressor. She’s the calm one! Imagine in her mindset most likely struggling with all kinds of disorders. For her to be lashing out at children without reason says a lot about her character. Imagine she did an unthinkable act. She didn’t even open the door, just shot through it, claiming she fears for her life. The question I ask is. Why are you fearing for your life when you’re behind an unopened door? You didn’t hear anyone banging it down trying to break in? All you heard was someone knocking to get your attention to open up so they can talk to you. But in your mind, you’re thinking they’re coming to attack. Really it tells what kind of person you are. What you should’ve done is get a ring camera. Then you could talk without opening the door. Instead, you take an innocent person’s life because of your own thwarted feelings of emptiness and of course you feeling a sense of entitlement bc of your white ness. Guess what? Now you will spend 30 years of your life thinking about the very dumb choice you made for picking up your gun to shoot an unarmed person. Hope you live with the guilt and shame. It’s my 🙏 that you find Jesus n ask Him to cleanse your mind n thoughts of hatred for self n others. RIP mother! I 🤦♀️
This woman should have been put in a home long before this incident. Or the property manager should have evicted her. I swear, so many people need babysitters nowadays, I don't even know how they dress themselves in the morning. But they all seem to know how to fire a gun.
Absolutely terrible! You can tell by hearing how the kids spoke to the cops that the mother raised them well. None of this needed to happen. I don't know if this was race based or just an old woman who was annoyed by kids. Regardless, her poor behavior led up to this. She certainly needs to serve time for her crime. I would think 20 years unless it's proven that it was deliberate. My heart goes out to the kids. Their lives are shattered, and I wonder if it'll affect their future trust in white people. I hope they will remain strong. 😢

Some kids are very disrespectful especially to seniors. My daughter is not even a senior but lived in a complex where the kids were allowed to run everywhere, screaming at all hours of the night, damaging her property, (Put poo on the seat of her bike, bending the spokes, etc). She had video cameras showing that and so much more. The cameras also showed the kids father encouraging them to do it and laughing. She finally had to report it to the police as it was escalating. The kids were trying to break the camera and was seen dancing in front of it and flipping her off. My daughter didn't press charges (as was recommended by the police) because she feared retaliation. The officers went and talked to the parents and explained that my daughter had ample evidence to press charges and told them they needed to stop. Things got better after that but she still moved soon after. So before we judge this old woman, we should realize that the kids are partially to blame, too as is their parents. There is 2 sides to every story and the truth is always somewhere in the middle.
She is a woman who never should have had a gun in the first place.
