Pewter buttons for the cardigan or just plain wood. The green would be a nice pop of color with the browns. Try knitting a tiny swatch with two strands and then try it with three strands and see what your gauge is with each?!?! ❤
Oooh those buttons are a great shout! I think pewter would be lovely. That’d be the sensible option to swatch but I was hoping that someone had already done the hard work 🤣
Hi Karoline! As a Finn, I'd be super interesting in hearing your thoughts on the differences of Finnish vs Scandi pattern styles! I've never really thought about it. Absolutely adore the colour of your Elisabeth blouse 💕 And so so glad to hear your mental healths been better now!
Your Laulu shawl looks so pretty 🩵 also i love how lizzie and other knitting podcasters were at your wedding and soon you‘ll be going to hers 🥰 It is just so wholesome
Hej Karoline, greetings from Denmark😊 I think black buttons would go well with your Jacket #1. I recently bought some black 25 mm horn buttons from Butik Smuksak, they are a nice warm black with some brown marbling which I think would be lovely
About the hat, it will loosen up after washing, so don't worry about it being a little tight right now. I knit my Weekend Hat for the largest size on 3mm (I have a large head) and it was too tight before washing, but after I washed it, it was the perfect fit. Had I followed the instructions for the suggested 3.5mm, it would be falling into my eyes. 2x2 ribbing is also less elastic than 1x1 in my experience.
So lovely to hear that you’re on the mend again after the flu 🥰 Love your podcasts - you’re so calm and very inspirational with your knitting projects and yarn choices 😊 I’ve recently knit the Hipster Hat (in two strands of Sunday) for myself and I chose the child’s size as I’ve too got a very small head and prefer hats to be a bit more snug, and I’m really happy I chose that size. It fits my head really well and it doesn’t ride up. And I’ve just begun to knit one for my friend (in two strands of KFO merino) in the women’s size and I’ve just tried it on and it is quite loose on my head, so it just confirmed my size for me.
Hello lovely! I did the weekend hat and I do find it streched a bit with just a couple of wears, so I’d say leave as it is and you’ll be just fine. The shawl looks LUSH❤
It is so nice to see you podcasting again ❤
Thank you! 😊
Immediately noticed your hair when clicking on this episode. Beautiful!
Yay! Thank you!

So many gorgeous makes 😍 and glad to hear you’re feeling better. Also the clip of Fayla at hoopers was so cute ❤️ she’s so good!
Thank you dear Rachel ❤️ I love Fayla’s excitement for running too 🥹

I think Sari has mentioned that Finnish patterns more commonly use charts than scandi patterns but I could be completely wrong 🫣
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Nice to see you back🫶
Greetings from Denmark😊
hat does look small if it were me I would either knit larger size or same size in larger needles
That’s fair, it would probably be the most sensible to do so!

I’m very glad I got to meet such wonderful friends on here, the knitting community can really be a lovely place 🥰
I really love cut glass buttons and I think they could be lovely on your jacket.
Ooooh that sounds fun!

Oooh maybe I’ll look to buy some when I’m home for Christmas!!!

Interesting, thank you for sharing!!! I might just risk it 🫣

Awwww thank you 🥰
Maybe it is worth sticking with it. Might wet block and see how it fits after a wash!

Thank you so much for sharing, that’s good to know 🥰
The shawl looks lovely. I think the rib looks quite stretched on your hat, if it was me I would change to a slightly larger size or needles.
Probably the sensible choice 🫣
can you block or steam block the hat on waste yarn before you finish it off?
Not a bad idea, I might do that!
