I love Ultimate frisbee, but shouldn't be possible is the biggest overstatement I've heard. That guy wasn't running that fast at all compared to many college athletes in many other sports. I personally know soccer players, and volleyball players who could make that catch.
I can agree that some soccer players are faster than him, doesn’t mean they could make that kind of layout without hurting themselves, and volleyball guys just aren’t that fast in straight line speed, it’s not a focus in their sport. What’s impressive is running at soccer speeds and then making a volleyball style dive that low to the ground, if anything, it’s more comparable to baseball outfielders

Idk I think there's an argument to be made that since he had to roll to catch it that still gave him the momentum from out of the roll to throw.
