Hmm... you didn't talk about setting the temperature 'based upon different environmental conditions'. Helpful info would have been: 1. settings for freezer and refrig in dry conditions, humid conditions, cool to cold conditions, and warm to hot conditions 2. dial settings for freezer and refrig when factory settings of 'middle' are not satisfactory - when freezer is not correct temperature, or when refrig is not correct temperature 3. basic functionality of how refrigerator works to freeze/cool compartments and the flow of air
No help, I need to know how to adjust the thermostat, not the temp settings, I live at altitude and most have barometric controls that are set for sea level
My Kenmore refrigerator is only 4 years old. I would like to know the procedure for adjusting the temperature. (freezer on top) The manual says both adjustments will affect the freezer and refrigerator. My frig is fine, set on recommended setting, at about 38 d. But the freezer only gets to 10 degrees, & it is turned to the coldest. Do I make the frig colder and set the freezer to warmer?
Imagine a Whirlpool refrigerator owner’s manual that does not address how to set the temperature 🤒 Unbelievable. The most important topic of a refrigerator is setting the temperature and the controls and it’s missing. Who was the idiot that missed that whilst writing the manual? MODEL WRT148FZDW00 They couldn’t even have a simple model number such as: WR148A to Z NO they couldn’t have that, it would be too easy and sensible.
Oh jezz….mine just has numbers…1-2-3-4….not sure what that means. I don’t have my manual. It’s a Whirlpool and about 8 years old. Thanks for any helpful response.
What I would like to know is why there are no temperature sensors as a standard option? Microcontrollers have been able to interface to temperature sensors for years. When will the refrigerator industry catch up? An external temperature diaplay with settings should also be a standard feature. LCDs are cheap. Come on, Frigidaire. Put the controls on the outside so we don't have to open the doors and let the cold air out.
Very few people have a fridge freezer like that.
