This beautiful city needs a big block letter sign up in the local mountans that reads "Cebu City" and at night it lights up. The sign would be able to change colors also. Hit like if you like that idea!

I'd rather prefer for a massive reforestation of Cebu mountains to deter flooding of low lying areas of metro Cebu in the future.The recent flood that happened here could come to it's worst if we won't do anything to help save the environment.

Incredible. So much ongoing highrise development there. However, i cant help but to wonder if the infrastructure can sustain this? Such as sewerage, water supply, power, traffic flow and the inevitable earthquake. Love your work guys, thank you.
As of now, transpo in cebu metropolis is worsening, no subway, heavy traffic, and the population is increasing. I hope the city mayor is doing his job right now

Thanks to the *nat'l govt's decades long abuses* Even IF all local govts in Cebu were exceptional, it still wouldn't address a large part of that problem, & other problems cuz 70% or 60% of Cebu's revenues mandatorily goes to the nat'l govt & still failed to give it back to Cebu to fund mass transport systems & such...plans were already finished since dinosaur era....but well obviously, w/out enough money, great plans remain plans Even if mass transport were already implemented in the 1990s, it's still late, how much more late in 2000s, 2010s... If I remember correctly, only Bus Rapid Transit System is undergoing implemention since 2019, the rest such as Monorail & others are still in pre-construction stage...plus covid19 entered further delaying the project

It's called metro cebu actually, like metro manila with its various cities. Once carcar (?) and danao are connected via an expanded provincial highway/expressway that's currently under construction, it will become mega cebu, a smaller version of mega manila or greater capital region that is composed of 3 diff regions: calabarzon, ncr, central luzon
Cebu has potential to be so much better like Manila but learning about projects like Mandani Bay and the new airport renovation, it might develop faster short term compared to Manila. I think country must invest more outside Manila to create more jobs and reduce overpopulation in Manila. My only concern is if Cebu will be overpopulated like Manila and is public transport even possible to even implement if necessary. Cebu absolutely needs to be smart and please avoid another Manila 2.0. Cebu isn't even great in general but it can be salvagable and more appealing if they control the city population and plan the logistics. I still think Cebu with more devlopment can really take growth and be like mini Kula Lumpur and asian Miami with what I hear. Mandani Bay I think is a good risk that I think be a lwokye home run move.

Cebu has potential to be so much better like Manila but learning about projects like Mandani Bay and the new airport renovation, it might develop faster short term compared to Manila. I think country must invest more outside Manila to create more jobs and reduce overpopulation in Manila.
My only concern is if Cebu will be overpopulated like Manila and is public transport even possible to even implement if necessary. Cebu absolutely needs to be smart and please avoid another Manila 2.0. Cebu isn't even great in general but it can be salvagable and more appealing if they control the city population and plan the logistics. I still think Cebu with more devlopment can really take growth and be like mini Kula Lumpur and asian Miami with what I hear. Mandani Bay I think is a good risk that I think be a lwokye home run move.

Even IF all local govts in Cebu were exceptional, it still wouldn't address a large part of that problem, & other problems cuz 70% or 60% of Cebu's revenues mandatorily goes to the nat'l govt & still failed to give it back to Cebu to fund mass transport systems & such...plans were already finished since dinosaur era....but well obviously, w/out enough money, great plans remain plans
Even if mass transport were already implemented in the 1990s, it's still late, how much more late in 2000s, 2010s...
If I remember correctly, only Bus Rapid Transit System is undergoing implemention since 2019, the rest such as Monorail & others are still in pre-construction stage...plus covid19 enters
